Okay, need to make some statements here.

Karasu I appologize for the PM I sent you, I was relatively pissed and not level headed obviously.

The system isn't sucking a** it's just my lack of understanding towards others.

My initial thought was that people would kind of if not totally spam Intelligence for Jutsu and put forth a more reasonable effort in style rather than doing what Karasu did and boasted in something simple and easy.

I've neglected to understand that there are freshmen amongst me, and that I should totally be understanding and patient with them for I am indeed a vetran of NFS 1.

With that being said this concludes my appology.

oh and my level explanation don't really apply to you XD;; i thought you were a higher level then karasu was for some reason XD;; well anyways it applies to other people then = w=;; and don't worry aizen... if karasu is heading back to help his buddies... he might be joining you in the after life XD;; just saying.

Quite the contrary, it is not an "easier" way, simply because it just comes down to what type of ninja you are. Maybe he did not want to be a complex straditigist. Maybe he simply wanted to be a power house.

One thing that I really wish some people would get is, this game is not just a I declare war type of deal where the stronger level or attack always wins. You have to stratigize. So, if he is a power house and you know it, and you know his seal speed is really high. You need to know how to work around that. In some situations you simply cant, sometimes the person you are fighting simply has a style that you are weak too.

Look at me VS Den, yeah he had a high stats, but because I am a Gen user main, in a 1 on 1 situation, there is little to nothing that he can really do to have stopped me from hitting him. Why? Because his battle type is weak to mine.

In your case, the proper way would have been to take advantage of the situation. I dont know his stats right off hand, but if he had a "spammed" seal speed like you said, then why not try and grapple him? His seal speed would have been ineffective at that point, and he would have been unable to attack you.

I dont know the situation in full because I honestly was only checking the fight for system errors/mistakes. The point is, everyone has a weakness no matter what you do. If you were unable to exploit his, then so be it, you win some, you loose some.

Back now, and pretty much what Ele said.
Focusing on one style makes you strong, that's unavoidable in any situation however it only makes you strong in that one style (and even then often only in one aspect of that style). You take the gamble of "I need to hit and disable fast, I only have to hit a few times but if I'm hit back I'm basically screwed".
So he spams seal speed, this does not effect you ability to:
-Reduce all damage from his attacks
-Have lots of chakra/stamina to soak up his attacks
-not even to simply remove any lingering de-buffs from his attacks

All it does is make it hard to avoid his attacks... that's it. On top of that they're MUCH harder to stack than before. You won't notice it right away because you're all low level, however EVERY time you level up you are FORCED to separate your stats rather than pile them into one stat. On top of that it gets more and more difficult to level up every level (scaling much faster than the -every 100- it used to be, it just won't seem like it till people start hitting higher levels... remember you're all still Genin so you're not that close to seeing the high point scaling nor should you be).

As for you dying it didn't look like he out did you, it looks like you gave up (2 checks and you passed on your saves? Even if you're fighting a Kage character that out does your stats by 500 (the number they need to outdo you by at least to drop you to nothing) you always have a 1% chance of success, ie rolling a 01.) By passing on checks it doesn't mean they beat you because they where "oh so much stronger" it means they beat you because you gave up.

I tried to grapple him but failed and thus got myself grappled instead.

I basically only had one shot at stunning him, other wise My checks would have no doubt failed against his.

I went in without even looking at his stats, and when I found out he rapped my Seal speed level with his own I noticed it was a 1 to 999 chance of succeeding in my checks, thus once I got stunned I wasn't even going to consider trying to break free.

I gave up but only due to not having a way out...I got screwed won't happen the next time around that's for sure.

Then you don't fight him with seal speed.
You stealth, make him look for you, flee if you have to once you find out you're outgunned. All it takes is once, his seel speed won't help unless he's attacking or countering with nin/gen everything else would not make seal speed useful (not to mention not powerful).

He had a 56% chance to defend against you (only a 6% advantage, that's nothing considering a surprise attack would have made that 46). Then he had an attack of 674 this means the only way you could have had a 1% (the minimum) chance would be if you had 124 or less as a defense. (which considering you have statx2 + statbuffx2 + buffs is a bit difficult to be that outgunned by another genin).
Now seeing as you had a 595 this means he literally only had a 7% advantage on you... 7%, not 1-999 instead 43-100.
Even if you only had a 1% (which you had way better than) it's still worth rolling as it's possible and been done more than once before.

Now then his stun, it was a 50 hold or -5%, not even that 7% difference to escape.... how on earth did you figure that your chances of roll 45 or under where so terrible? (again 45 or under is IF you had 0 in the stat to escape)

To add onto what DBL was saying, You should never give up. Fleeing is one thing, giving up is another. One good roll/Attack could have turned the tide of the battle in your favor. You gotta be willing to take those chances. Even a 1% chance is a chance none the less, and if you loose, hey you went down swinging, theres honor in that. No one expect to win every single fight. Sometimes you do get bested. You said you did not look at his stats and to be honest, there is nothing wrong with that either. This is still at the end of the day an RP, and as such you have to be prepared to loose sometimes. Go down swinging, and no one can say anything about it.

Look at NFS1, if you recall there was a massive battle in Fire Country against, wolf, we were heavily out matched due to a technicality, yeah we felt screwed over, but we kept on swinging to the very end.

Dont always look at battles as. "Here is my chance to win a fight" Look at it more so as, "Here is a chance for me to test my abilities" See where your flaws are, see where your strengths are. Actually see where you stand in comparison to someone else. Its a good learning experience. Even one round into my current fight, I already see where I can make improvements to better my battles.

But if you give up, you wont learn anything. There is wisdom in knowing your limits seriously. Knowing exactly how capable you are when your chakra is low is a good thing to know. Knowing how capable you are if you get stunned, or get knocked into critical, etc. These are all statistics to battle that would serve a great benefit to know.

Long story short, I respect the fighter who went down swinging more than I respect the fighter who didnt even try.

Making techniques are easy Espeically if you watch allot of anime and have a good imagenation!

My techs are formed between reality and fictional influences, also the anime it's self has allot of good inspirational techniques that you can use or alter to your own advantage. 3nodding

I regretfully admit that my skills are made for the battle system lol. I figure out what I want the skill to do, then I make a description and a name that fits.
