Greatgrandfathers name being Leland and my great grandmothers middle name being Lee(My dad's middle name is Lee, as well) they decided to take the two and come up with Leeland. Original, but borrowed. whee I was named to have my paternal grandmother's initials. Her name was prettier though. whee Lillian Rose. biggrin We are a bigger family than we thought! My oldest sister's name is Lilia, and one of my neices is Isabella Rose. Wee! Kurai, i love the name Robin. its beautiful! o_o; Woah. Amazing.

Donovan Richard Cochrane Purcell
I like my name, it sounds... dignified. My full name... Composed of the name of a famous musician from the 60s, my father's given name, my mother's maiden name, and my father's last name. My first name is old Irish and means dark warrior, second name is English and means strong ruler/king. My last name is also Irish and our Crest is black and yellow with four dragons on it. My middle names can also be shortened to 'd**k' and 'c**k'... emo

My first name means meadow and my middle name is a small woodland bird. rofl
Edit: xd If I ever have a daughter, I'm going to name her Orfhlaith. It's Irish for golden princess, and pronounced or-la. She'd hate me so much. heart

I like the name Donovan. I really into creating stories and all that jazz, in fact that's why I went to SCAD was so I could learn how to protray stories visually instead of written. Mostly because I suck at writing stories and I think I'm pretty good at drawing. Anyways Donovan is the name of one of the families in one of my stories.
And my name means like warrior princess or she warrior or something like that in Irish.
Orfhlaith? Hahahaha. She'd probably be called Orf-lay-th. That's how I pronounced until you told me other wise. I want to name my children Trina and Damien. However I am partial to the name LaQuora (lah-kore-rah), which is a name . . . I think I made up for one of my characters in one of my stories.

If you look at Irish-celtic names, they all have the CRAZIEST SPELLINGS EVER. Like Aoibheann and Donnachaidh and Conchobar. whee The website I'm looking at doesn't even list pronunciations for them, but I'm sure they're horrible.

There is a book series I'm sort-of reading right now that's very based in celtiness and they have crazy names.
