Rae laughed. "That's what mates are for! Especially such protective ones." She smiled in Kyou's direction. She looked at Masao. "See, you're gettign the hang of it!"

"Yeah...though I'm still blaming you and Loki if I fall through," he said with a soft laugh. "It must be nice to have a protective mate to watch out for you."

Rae scoffed. "This thing is pretty solid, Masao. You aren't going anywhere." She nodded and added, "It is," keeping back the words: You'd know if you could see Ryari's attraction to you...

Masao gave a slight roll of his eyes towards Rae. "I'm allowed to take a bit of time to get use to it. This is the first time I've ever been on the ice," he said to her, grinning a little. "Before long I'll be better on the ice then you'd think possible." Masao puffed up his chest a bit as he stood there. "When I get a mate I'll be protective."

Loki laughed. "She's got a point you know, Masao. If big poofy me doesn't crack the ice, I doubt you will."

Ryari had slipped into a daze. She disoriently shook her head to clear it and stood, streatching and parting her jaws in an enormious yawn. She wondered if she should be heading back to the lake now, and deciding it was bets, she swung around and stalked off.

"Loki wouldn't break it. He's so poofy that he must weight nearly nothing. He's all fur, and nothing else," Masao said with a smirk, taking another chance at sliding across some of the ice.

Loki scoffed. "Have you forgotten that I'm a foot taller than you," he said jokingly. He watched Masao slide across the ice.
Rae grinned and slid across the ice in complicated forms. "I'll never get tired of this."

"A foot of extra fuzz," Masao said with a laugh, catching himself when his paws almost slid out from under him, managing to catch himself before he actually fell.

Ryari walked for a while through the quiet forests, lost in thought again. SLAM "Oof," She huffed. She'd crashed into a tree. She shook herself, "Whats wrong with me!?" She hissed. "Why am I so flustered?" She sighed and continued to the lake dragging her paws, as soon as it came in sight, she spotted everyone on the ice. She raised a questioning eyebrow, and when she glanced at Masao, her heart skipped a beat.

Kyou followed Rae onto the ice. "Well, Terra and Itsuki are eating all the fish we just caught," he reported, "Good thing I ate some on the way back..."

Rae giggled. "Smart idea I had, eating before we got here." She looked up at the night sky and the bright moon; it was in fact the middle of the night. "Does anyone else feel....strange?"

Kyou though for a moment. "Yeah, kinda."
Terra skated up to Rae and Kyou. "I always feel strange at night, actually," she said.
"It feels a bit familiar..." Itsuki said.

Ryari padded up to the shore. She climed over a relitively large, flat rock. As such, she clawed her way across it, not wanting to lose her balance on the wet stone. At the edge of the rock, which was submerged in the lake, she slipped. She let out a wail and went sliding across the ice.
