what do you think?
my mom and i were discussing sexuality, and her opinion was: you can't be bi, and most girls who say they're bi simply say that whether they're straight or lesbian just to turn guys on, because its "hot" to see 2 girls makeout. and its true, my group of bi girl-friends often only do anything bisexual to make guys horny...
what do you think about this?

I think it's stupid and it sets a bad example for bisexual girls. To me it's saying "Bisexuals are whores" or something like that.. and that's not always the case.

i think so too...i think all the bi's at my school are given a bad name... and it sucks. they all used to be my hangout at school for sport eventa and stuff, but i'm deciding not to participate in their games anymore.

I agree that it's dumb. Being bisexual doesn't mean you're desperate to get whoever you can or just to get a**. I remember my "ex" from some time ago said about the same thing to me. I was talking to him online because he had talked to my cousin (not to ME) about me having a girlfriend. And I remember he said something a long the lines of, "You should just say you're a lesbian because guys wouldn't date bi girls" and "You see EVERYBODY as a potential lover" and he had this condescending tone to it, you know?
And it really got me frustrated because he was being so closed-minded and judgmental. I think it's true that people tend to view bisexuals as people who are indecisive or just desperate, and that's hardly true. I mean, sure, there are some people out there who say they're bi to get attention or just to get a**, but most of them aren't that way. People tend to think (in my opinion) that's it's one way or another and there's no in-between.

yeah, i woulnd't consider myself desperate at all. no one would ever believe the fact that i've always found an interest in girls, but the same interest in guys... i love guys, and i've just grown up on the idea of dating guys, marrying guys, i didn't even know what gay meant until like 5th grade, and thats when i really started to think about my past actions.
but i can't talk to my parents about it because that is exactly what my mom will think... that i'd only be bi to turn guys on, as a sexual object of both sexes sexual desires... i don't think being bisexual is like that at all.
my ex... he probably denies it now... but like the first week of us going out 8 months ago he said "you know, it'd be so cool if you were bi" and i asked him why and he said "because we can have threesomes!!!". it disgusted me, and after we broke up, the very first real conversation we had was when i told him i though i was bi... and he texted back "great, so now my ex girlfriend is bi." it pissed me off so. both of those instinces. i'm glad we broke up.
2/3 of my female friends say that they are bi... all of them only ever would make out in front of guys, especially their boyfriends. it makes me really uncomfortable around them because i know they're all BS.
and i've kissed all of them... uugh.
i think my bf is homophobe, but he thinks its totally hot to see 2 girls make out.
quote me on this: i will never kiss another girl in front of my bf for his own pleasure. or in front of any other guy for that matter.
and please agree with me: in my opinion, 2 girls kissing is the same as two guys kissing besides the gender... i don't get why its so much more attractive to people.
its a straight guy thing...
ooo... has anyone read "Rainbow boys"? it rocks i finished it in like 5 days and my friend is clawing at my arm for it.

Well alot of straight girls do the same thing for two men kissing. But alot of straight men probably wouldn't be willing to please the women like that. I guess women are just more laid back about somethings. I dont think they should flaunt it though. What happens in one's sexual life is their own business. It's when they flaunt and boast that it makes you think. So if a big group of girls are flaunting that they are bi and would make out with a girl to turn their boyfriends on, then they are being slutty (imo) and are therefore giving bisexuals a bad name. I understand if you were mad at your ex. I'd be mad too.
I havent read any books or watched any movies LGBT related. I think the only movie I've seen is "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and I seen some of "The L Word".

heh i just sortof assume my first time on a thread that its a discussion...
yeah its a big group of girls... like 8 or 9 when they're all there. so not including them i only have maybe... 4 bi female friends...
adn like 8 bi/gay guy friends...
and an old english teacher who i think failed me because i told her that i was for same sex marriage and was thinking about converting to a buddhistic religious view... shes a superconservative, christian republican... we could have gotten her fired for what she said about politics, religion and sex...
she shall forever be known as the absolute worst teacher ever...
my friend ashea walked out on her and flipped her off in the middle of class once for what she said about same sex marriage...

I haven't watched or read too many LGTB related things either... it's hard to because my parents are homophobic and everything. x.x; I get frustrated when people flaunt their sexual lives around because no on really wants to hear it. Sexual stuff really is personal business and needs to stay that way.

yeah i hate that as well... i'll state my opinion when we discuss it, my friends and i (not the wannabe bi ones ) have some pretty decent mature discussions for being highschool freshmen... but some girls are like... "i'm bi, i'll do anything you want blaugh " stressed grr...
and being BI doesn't nessecarily means you're indecisive or anything either... in my opinion you're just centered, and theres nothing wrong with that.
i'm tihnking about going to the GSA meetings at my school... maybe next year. we have the cooliest logo...
