Marcus, whom wasn't half as detatched from the world as many of the doctors thought, overheard some of them talking about the Hyuuga leader having done some work in the hospital. He moved over towards them and closed the door behind himself.

"Spill." he would say in very simple, very plane terms. At first, the doctors wouldn't think he was talking to them till he removed his earphones. He placed the earphones on one of the doctors and watched as the doctor hit the floor in pain. Having music blasted into ones head at such loud decibles would do that to anyone not prepared for it. Turning to the other doctor, he smiled. "Where's the Hyuuga lady?"

With a bit of fear, the doctor began to explain the situation and what had happeed with the hokage and what not. Marcus just sighed deeply and turned to leave. He still had work to do this day.

((Oh dear...I had forgotten the exiting posts for Yokou and Shikamori... ^^' But they're supposed to be in the canyon...one stubbornly heading to Oto and the other trying to drag her back.))

A nurse rushed into the operating room, looking very apologetic. "Lady Hyuuga! Patient Fukushima Akane is...!!"

At the mention of Akane, Yokou deactivated her Byakugan and looked at the younger woman in worry. "What's wrong with him?" Though it wasn't a yell, more like a normal tone, but for the usually soft-spoken Hyuuga head of family...it was yelling.

Her cool gaze seemed to really shake up the nurse. "Gone! I went in there to deliver dinner but... The window was open!"

At this, Yokou's eyes widened before she rushed out the operating room... Her eyes saw no one, not the bewildered doctors or nurses in the room...not even of Marcus coming in... Shikamori was yelling something but right now... She knows, she knew...where Akane would be heading to... And right now, all logic forgotten...her mind wasn't on Konoha anymore, not even on the little children of her clan...

As if in a daze, only heading to Oto after their Hokage who abandoned his people mattered...

No longer it mattered that that village was reigned by Uchiha. No longer it mattered that she was a Sannin, one of the Council responsible for taking care of Konoha's people...

((exit to Canyon))

"Yokou! Yokou, please listen!" The Nara, just finished being healed by the other group of doctors rushed futilely after his teammate. Whenever she becomes like this, it was...bad. Really bad. Last time, when Elruda died...Yokou tried to kill herself... He barely stopped her with Kagemane. Shikamori never told Akane that... And when Museifu betrayed the team, his village and family...she...actually considered going rogue to hunt him back!

He had to talk to her back to earth... She can't be serious! Going to Oto was suicide - Uchiha would certainly kill her!

Sakeme had probably passed out after the fist six hours of the flight. The alititude put too much pressure on her brain, and every time she would try to maintain conciousness or even wake up for that matter... she was just knocked out again. All she remembered was the Kid mentioning 'Iwakage' before she was taken and then not knowing what to do when the guy came back for her. She made a mental not that the name was Tsuchikage... just because she had to be correct, and then spoke praises in her head knowing that she had been taken too. The kid wouldn't survive on her own... then again, she did pretty well staying awake during the trip. Turning her head she saw how green the child was. Oh no... I swear... if she barfs... I'm gonna too... Getting up slowly, she swayed to the small si8nk in the hospital room, as she'd just realized where she was now, and took a paper towel to wet it. Wiping down her own face she got another and proceeded towards Elruda. As she took care of the kid, she tried to listen to what was going outside to give her a hint of what was going on... but again, the dizzyness was settling in.

The nurse who had broke the news to Yokou in the operating room gulped. "It wasn't my shift when the patient escaped!" She protested, as the doctors within the room glared at her. They wanted to ask the Hyuuga woman some questions too, considering Konoha was famous for their extensive medical field. So much for that idea. "Anyways, there are two new patients - and they look unwell!" Spinning on her heels, the nurse left the room...conveniently forgetting to ask why the hell did the kage return with two Ame kunoichi.

A lilac-coloured eye cracked open. "Ugh..." Elruda groaned, before slowly sitting up in bed. She actually recovered faster than expected...but Elruda had no idea where she was.

Hyuugas were never comfortable without knowing where they were...

She seemed comforted by the fact that Sakeme was with her. Large eyes went teary as her bottom lip trembled. Elruda sniffed. "Sa-chan, is this the afterlife...?"

Elruda didn't like hospitals either... She always knew fate had some sort of grudge against her.

Sakeme sighed. "No, kiddo... were back in Iwa... we were kidnapped by the Tsuchikage... Don't worry though... well get out and back home again." She sat down on the side of the kid's bed and stroked her hair a bit, watching the nurse as she came in... Great... company...

Elruda sniffed piteously. "Dun like hospitals..." She murmured. Guess Sakeme learned another of the typical Hyuuga fears...nah...the typical fears of children. Elruda stared at the nurse for a long moment, before she sniffed again, large lilac-coloured eyes welling up. The nurse immediately went over and hugged the child, cooing over how cute she was and the typical adult soothing words to crying children. Under the foreign woman's hug, Elruda began forming handseals and when the woman met her at eye level, her Byakugan was flared. Swiftly, Elruda attacked a tenketsu node on the forehead, putting the nurse to temporary sleep. The child was smarter than she looked, quick thinking and cunning indeed...true to her Leaf origins. She smiled softly at Sakeme. Their guard's knocked out.

Sakeme turned her face away from the nurse who was babying Elruda... and the turned back with a small smile as the woman had been knocked out. "Nice work, kid... Wrath would be proud... now... we just have to gte out of here and out of the village back home... Maybe we can even get back before Wrath know's we're gone... " Or should we figure out what's really going on... that guy didn't kidnap up for laughs and giggles... "Hey, kid... do you know why we were brought here...?"

At ‘getting back to Ame’, Elruda bolted up and began looking around for her waistbag. Thank kami-sama that all she ever owned could be fitted into that traveling waistbag...because she’ll need her map to approximate the time it’ll take for them to get back to Ame. Two days... Came the thought. Elruda looked horrified. “Sa-chan! It really...didn’t take us two days to get here right?” The child began chewing at her lower lip nervously. She didn’t know much about politics but she did know that she gave away to where Marcus was from...right in from of the Amekage’s face too. The Hyuuga princess gulped slightly. This. Was. Not. Good. The child took a look at the window before with light strides, tried to pry it open. No good... It was either some other patient escaped through the window before because...it was bolted shut. “Sa-chan! Help me look for something that can pick the lock.

The handle of the door jiggled a bit...then a bit more...then it simply fell off. The door would slowly open and Marcus would be standing there holding his guitar as the top of it smoked. A kunai was lodged in the knob.

A nurse, with fear and shock in ehr eyes looked to him, "Sir, I could have gone and gotten the key you know..."

Marcus looked to ehr and scratched his chin, "Woops. Oh well." He would look to the girl Elruda as she was in front of the window. He grinned a bit, "You hate hights right? I wouldn't do that if I was you.." He walked over to the girl and lifted her up, much like a father would his small child. He pointed out the window, "We're on the 10th floor. I don't think your going too far unless you can fly." He laughed a bit and put her down.

he began to move back to the door and then looked out and down the hall, "Oy, come on in." he would say simply and lean agaisnt the door. It was tender family reunion time

Sakeme growled as the man came in, pushing the kid behind her after he put her down. "Do you have any idea what you did? Ame is our home, not just mine but Elruda's too! She didn't want to come back here... What made you think you could just go and take her?" She was furious now... What the hell was he thinking? Who ordered this? Any minute now... she was gonna find out... "Stay behind me kid..."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 28, 2008 6:03 am

At the sound of the doorknob breaking off, Elruda's small form noticeably stiffened in alarm. "W-well! I know how to chakra wa - ...!" She began rather indignantly but her voice trailed off...not from being swept off her feet again but because she had caught sight of the lilac-eyed woman behind the Tsuchikage. Her breath almost caught in her throat and for what seemed like a long eternity, she could not get any words out. Her eyes widened, the soft whisper ensuing not seeming to be her own. "...o-okaa-san...?"

Her mother was just as she had remembered, a beautiful woman with a powerful air of grace. Sakeme would be able to see that Elruda did take after her mother's beauty... A soft-spoken woman yet a strong shepherd of her clan. But right now, when her mother saw her, all signs of dignity was forgotten. An equally shocked gasp before pale hands covered her face. But Elruda could still see the tears running freely down her lovely face...

'Alive' was whispered over and over again...

"Kami-sama...alive...she's alive..." If her clan elders were here, they would've yelled at her for not checking first with the Byakugan to make sure this wasn't a Henge, a plot for assassination. But Yokou didn't care...couldn't...all her motherly instincts cared was that her daughter was alive and healthy...equally shocked lilac-white eyes mirroring her own. "Two years..." Yokou whispered. "But long enough to be an eternity. Come, princess... There's no one to interrupt here... Not the elders whom you hate so much or watching clansmen...won't you give your mother an embrace?"

If the tears weren't enough to move Elruda already, the words were. She was a child again, rushing to her mother.

Sakeme didn't understand. She thought the kid would be strong about this, but her mom..... Her mom. Sakeme still couldn't understand. Was it perhaps because she lacked the knowledge of what a mother was? A mother was simple the female parent of a child to whom they care and nurture during the duration of their childhood and sometimes teen years... Or was there more to it? She couldn't imagine so... But why the attachment? There was no point. Though seeing the kid the way she was now... Sakeme just couldn't stop her... Instead she turned her back to the child and proceeded in leaning against a wall.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 28, 2008 12:15 pm

Her mother smelled nice, just as she had remembered, the familiar scents of the flower-dotted valleys of Konoha, of lilacs and white plums... But never this close before... Elruda allowed herself to be swept her off her feet, burying her head in her mother's robes. Small hands sifted through a cascade of silken dark blue hair. She was the same as ever...her okaa-san never wore make-up but like the women of her family, physical beauty more than made up for it. But a mother's embrace...kind words...were more than Elruda had ever dared to hope for from the head of Hyuuga family...

Yokou didn't notice the amber amulet she had given to Elruda long ago until the smooth stone brushed against her neck. But that stone no longer mattered...it was only a clan tradition for identifying the heir...but she knew from the moment she laid her eyes on the child, that it was Elruda and no one else. No, not seen by her eyes... Yokou softly corrected herself. Byakugan no longer mattered, nor of the derived divinations. She saw with her heart, not her eyes...

"T-tsuchikage-sama...how could I ever...thank you enough...?" Yokou murmured softly, long pale fingers brushing through Elruda's own short dark-blue hair. But how strange...how did Marcus know? Moreover...unless...unless it was someone she knew who have seen Elruda around in Iwa...

Then that means...considering Shikamori was almost always around with her... Zephyr. Realization dawned. Sensei said something to Tsuchikage-sama... Something else was wrong, very wrong. The other girl was yelling about kidnapping... Kidnapping? A soft gasp as Yokou noticed the Ame headband... N-no! If Elruda was here in Iwa before...and if what the other child said was true... T-then...that means...that meant...

She didn't want to come back. Yokou realized, dismay welling up. She already lost Elruda once before...a second time was...would be enough to break her sanity. Very slowly she placed Elruda back on her own two feet. She couldn't stand it anymore, the realization...it hurts, hurts so much... The tears came more freely now, the last bit of self-control fading, Yokou spun around to flee the room but Elruda had caught her hand. The child was also crying now.

"Okaa-san, okaa-san... Please don't go... D-don't cry anymore..." The realization startled her too, as the embrace made her realize more than just one thing...her mother was too pale for normal...and had seemed to lost much vigor from repeated sufferings. "P-please listen..."

Finally finding her voice, a quiet answer followed: "I-is...it true?" "I-I...don't understand either! Why, why now of all times...? All those other times, you're always busy...always on clan business...never had the time for me or onii-san... Why? I just don't understand..." Yokou looked stricken. "Then...I am only just another of the council...right?" Elruda's eyes noticeably widened. Hyuugas were perceptive but still...hearing those words...they hurt... "Head of family, of the Hyuuga Council and the Council of Elders...Hokage's guard...but never a mother..."

"I-I didn't mean that!" Elruda's voice was desperate now...her mother's tone almost sounded...suicidal...? "I didn't forget! Before outou-san disappeared, you took care of us b-but...after...you were different...so cold to us and...w-wouldn't speak to anyone..." A bitter laugh escaped her lips, before more tears fell. "I don't hate Konoha, I don't! How could I be heartless enough to hate that village, cradled jewel of emerald, where I had lived as far as I remembered? I-I..." Her voice trailed off. "I thought you were happier without me. A failure who couldn't keep up with the other students in kempo - ..." And then a soft whispered: "That title belonged to onii-san anyways..."

Yet, ironically, if that was true before it wasn't wholly true now... Elruda had managed to recreate the Juuken Kempo from memory, a feat normally deemed impossible with the aid of older clansmen... She had uncovered more secrets of the Byakugan, past the normal radial vision and seeing through solid objects...but rather noticing the tenketsu nodes on the chakra system...

Of course...when the news came that it was her former Uchiha teammate who had killed her husband...it was...too much for Yokou to bear. Her mind became so set on restructuring the family, the so dangerously close to falling apart clan...that she had forgotten her children.

"That's not true... Back then...you never completed Juuken's basics..." Yokou motioned to the unconscious nurse on Elruda's bed. "Yet...you knocked her unconscious with kempo, right? On your own, alone...you figured out the meaning behind the divination field...right, princess?" Sadly, Yokou wiped away the child's tears. "There are many meanings to genius...and many more different kinds..."

"What if I promise that we can live together? Just the two of us...we can stay here in Iwa and live in peace..."

It was Elruda's turn to look shocked. "W-what about Konoha? The clan? Okaa-san, you would...you would just give up everything...for me...?" "A Sannin's free to choose where he or she wishes to live..." A quiet smile now. "And the clan...Nyame-chan and Tetta-kun are almost of age..." Elruda shook her head fervently. "N-no...it's just not right... Neither clan nor village council will allow it... Y-you will be marked a m-missing-nin..."

A flicker of pain crossed her face. "As of now...Zephyr-sensei would probably be named Lord Hokage. Shikamori is of the council too, so is Aujira-san... Nyame-chan and Anzu-kun were going to be initiated too..." Basically, Yokou was childhood friends with a good bulk of the Council of Elders. "If I talk to them, then surely..."

"Okaa-san...b-but...there's problems right now... Tsuchikage-sama took me from Ame, under Amekage-sama's eyes without permission...trapping him in solid rock no less... I don't want to be the cause of problems between two villages, allies no les (reference: yes, Elruda did study history)... I don't want either Iwa or Konoha hurt...it's just not right..." Elruda gently fingered the amber amulet around her neck. "Too precious both are...no, all three..."

Sakeme just watched as the two exchanged what seemed to be heart felt words, but what was going to be the decision. Ejruda was Wrath's student... as he'd do whatever possible to get her back... Sakeme, however, was willing to leave the girl if staying with her mother was what she truly wanted... as she would say so. "Look... if you want to stay here, I'll go back home and explain things... However... Wrath might be a bigger problem... " Her voice was somewhat cold... but what choice did she have..?
