Tikal gave a soft chuckle. "Not get into trouble huh? You obviously underestimate me..." She climbed atop the brown taking care not to hurt him in the process. Her flits chittered wildly around them. She settled behind Drakiana and tried not to squeeze the guts out of her as she hung on.
((Ryvana, just let me know when we go between that way I know when I should post in the Fort Weyr thread.))

Mine.....mine wake up. Netesath reatches her nose over a pile of rubble and gently nudges Beriadi's face with the tip of her nose. Wrath....WRATH!! Mine, she won't wake up she is stuck under some rocks! The queens frightened bugle is loud in the caved in weyr and shakes some lose dust and pebles down on her and Beriadi. I'm stuck under rocks too.

Wrath roars suddenly, rearing up on her haunches and flaring her wings. They are trapped! They are trapped! Bring Watchwhers, bring them here and now, we will dig them out!
Ray flinches, clutching at her head. Please calm down! Who are trapped? Where? She hobbles toward the roaring Queen, one hand outstretched in a soothing gesture.
I didn't hear her. I didn't hear pain or distress or discomfort until she called me. I should have heard her. The ceiling in the weyr caved in, they are stuck under rocks.
Who? Which weyr?
Wrath tilts her wedge-shaped head to look for Ray, who is slowly making her way across the weyrbowl. Netesath, she called me. She is afraid, Beriadi won't wake up. I should have known, I should have looked for her, I thought the flits got everyone out, they said they had when I asked. I shouldn't have trusted them!
She raises her head to the sky again, bugling a challenge as several bronzes and browns appear overhead, each clutching a smaller draconic shape in their forelimbs or carrying passengers and odd bundles.
Which weyr are they in? Ray asks urgently.
I ... I don't know. Wrath sounds unsure of herself. Netesath? Where are you?

R'ign reappeared over Benden shortly after Wrath began panicking. The bluerider jumped as they emerged from silence to a loud bugle. Kerth!?
Wrath is very upset. It seems there are some still inside... Who? Who is stuck? Calm down, you are making little sense... The blue's tone changed as he turned his attention towards the queen.
The pair dove downwards, dodging dragons on the rise as the moved towards the ground to pick up more unneeded people.

Ray stands by, feeling helpless, as Wrath directs the dragons with Watchwhers to land near the weyrwomen's quarters. One positive aspect is that all weyrwoman quarters have ground access...
The queen indicates one of the weyrs, and once all of the watchwhers are calmed by their handlers, and the miners had their equipment ready, they head up the stairs to begin excavating it.
Stay calm! Help is coming. Don't move. Beriadi is hurt, but she is still alive, and that means that we can help her. Stay calm!

Please tell them to hurry. I am closer to the ledge, we were trying to get out....I don't know if our little one made it... She searches for the mind of the little brown then starts to keen softly when she finds the brown hurt and pinned under a large rock. all of mine are hurt

Looking at her passengers, she grins. "Everyone all set?" Not really waiting for an answer, she signals to Velmeth, who walks off the ledge, letting himself fall, then blinking between. The dark, sheer emptiness of between penetrates her, like it usually does, and the cold shocks her, but before she can cough three times, they explode into the air above Fort Weyr.

Myyth had been helping load people onto a dragon when Spirith came walking over, her eyes fixed on a groud level weyr.
"There is something wrong." The young dragon sounded worried and her eyes never left the weyr. "What is it?" Myyth watched the dragon take off and looked around to see who was left. "A queen is trapt. Netesath. In her weyr." "Is there anything we can do?" "I don't know. There are miners and watchweyrs. Wrath is coordinating the rescue." The dragon looked up at the sky, and then around the weyr bowel. "There are not many left here."
Myyth nodded, "I don't think they need us......What could we really do? We'd just get in the way. Perhaps we should take the next dragon out, unless you have a better idea?." "I do not, the weyr woman seems to have everything well in hand." "She does. Could you bespeak the next dragon to land?" Myyth turned to pick up her bag, careful not to jostel her new flits.
"I will. I will also listen to the other dragons. It will be good to know how Netesath is."

((J'quaz will take you out Myithren))
Tetoneth turned to J'quaz who was searching for someone who needed to get to Fort Weyr. Mine there is a weyrling and her dragon looking for a ride. Over there. Tetoneth said looking over in the direction of the pair.
Alright. Thanks Tetoneth. J'quaz told the dragon before heading towards the weyrling pair.
"Hey. Do you need a ride to Fort Weyr?" J'quaz asked as he came into speaking distance of the girl and dragon.

((Thanx))
"We could use a ride, we seem to be some of the last weyrlings left." Myyth scopped up her bag and moved over to an open area, Her small green trailing behind. "We get to fly." Spirith's eyes were whirling with color as she watched the larger brown. "The first of many many times. Though you need to grow a bit before we attempt anything..."Myyth laughed and Spirith snorted. With a draconic grin the green ran over to meet the brown rider. Stopping in front of him she watched Myyth jogging to catch up.
"I am Spirith, and she is Myyth." Spirith told J'quaz.

((No prob. I've been looking for someone who needed a ride back to Fort. Just a question but can Spirith fly on her own and go between or will she be riding on Tetoneth?))
J'quaz smiles as the green and her rider get closer. "Well we're always willing to help." J'quaz said looking up at Tetoneth.
Think you can carry them Tetoneth? J'quaz asked the brown just nodded watching the green run toward them and stop in front of J'quaz.
Them and two or three other people. He stated plainly his eyes whirling a blueish tint.
A little confident aren't we? Tetoneth only snorted in response. J'quaz just shook his head and as the green introduced herself and her rider to J'quaz he just watched her with interest. Normally other dragons didn't speak to him, in fact it seemed a bit odd to him for her to be speaking to him at all.
"It's very nice to meet you Spirith. My name is J'quaz and this here is Tetoneth." J'quaz said motioing to himself and then to Tetoneth who nodded his head in greeting.
A pleasure miss Spirith. Tetoneth said being a rare gentleman in front of the young green.

Ray looks up as the watchwhers and miners continue working. By now most of the people have been safely evacuated, even the Weyrlings.
Shadill limps over to her, with a young man pushing a short barrel. She instructs him to tilt it on end, and then she goes to Ray. "Rayi? Hon, come on, sit down a moment. Some riders from..." She trails off, a wry twist to her mouth. "I forgot to ask. They brought some stew, and some klah. And even remembered bowls, the dears. You need to eat." Ray nods absently and lets herself be guided to the barrel.
She sits down, and lets out a long sigh. What a day... Shadill presses a bowl into her hands, "Come on now, eat up."
Ray nods absently and takes up the spoon. "How many were injured?" she asks.
"Not too many. Mostly bumps and scrapes, though there's about a full wing's worth of riders with injuries that'll take a sevenday or more to heal. Most of the injured folk were full riders."
Ray stops with the spoon halfway to her mouth. "But we need those riders? What with Thread--and--but--we can't--" she stops speaking, her mouth just moves numbly.
"The other Weyrs will help. We cannot remain here regardless; most of the individual weyrs have unstable ceilings, and the tunnels are hopeless. It'll be turns before Benden could be restored. Even then, some of the back tunnels will likely need to be closed off."
Ray shakes her head in disbelief. "I--but--what--where?"
Shadill shrugs, still her practical self. "We might end up split up between other Weyrs. The territory can be covered that way as well. After the end of the Pass, that's time enough to build up the population again, and to repair the Weyr." She glances at Ray's bowl. "EAT!"
Blankly, Ray eats her stew, trying not to think about the days to come.
((Jup, have Tetoneth "hold" Spirith in his forelegs; she's too young to go between by herself.))

Aoki glanced at the people she'd picked up, just a few stragglers that looked a bit lost. She hadn't even managed to catch their names in the rush. Once everyone was secure she smiled, "Okay we're going. Hang on tight."
"Gently Lyedarith."
You don't have to tell me that.
Lyedarith crouched and took off as smoothly as he could. They hovered for a moment and then blinked out between.

R'ign and Kerth had landed in the Weyrbow. It appeared that most were out of the Weyr now, leaving mostly injured and those helping. The bluerider dismounted and took off her riding helmet, glancing around. What should they do now? Perhaps there were a few more people that needed to be moved, but R'ign didn't spot any offhand. The bluerider was glad, as she hated moving people that were terrified of between. She sighed, looking around again.
