Inzi wheeled across the sky over the falls. He had finished his nest the night before and was waiting on the arivial of his mate from their former home. He liked the cool air from the falls and the supply of little creatuers that he could eat.

*Yawning and standing on his haunches he finishes grooming out all of the water he got on his fur. Stretching out again he looks around to try and see what their is to eat around here. Being a bit of a rouge and a loner he's always fended for himself. Usually getting small mice or let alone some fish, if any. Spotting something moveing in the water where he was, he creeps over to the waters edge. His fur though seemingly fringeing at the sides he waits, patently, stalking to see if anything was in the water.*

::The caverns! Yes... Of course he wanted to see them! After all that she had told him about them he was dying to see them!:: ::Hodari nodded quickly, sounding a little excited when he said: 'Yes! Of course I want to see them!'::

*Watching the water intentfully he finally spots something! a fish! not knowing what type it was, but it looked yummy. Crouching low to the ground he prepares to fling himself at the fish, but, he just remembered that he just got dry. Did he want to get wet again? well.. it was a choice between eating and or staying dry, so he chose eating. Flexing his mustles he watches with intent eyes. Waiting for the fish to get close. nows his chance! it came close enough to reach. Flinging his full body weight into the water with claws extended he lands point blank on the fish. Snatching up the prey as he dug into it with his claws he clings as it squirms. Tucking his head into the water he reaches for the fish. Putting it between his teeth he retracts his claws. His fishy prey in his mouth he makes his way for the shore, his dinner still ever squirming. Comming out of the water he shakes slightly gripping onto the meal. After a little while the fish stopped squirming, knowing that it was done he jumped onto a tree onto a high branch to enjoy his catch.*

"Okay," She says, pleased. "It'll take us awhile to get there, though...it's all uphill from here." She groans, good-naturedly, as she looks up towards the hills, and, in particular, the largest hill. She gets up all fours with a yawn, then starts trotting through the grsses, ears twitching as they walk further away from the lakeshore and into grassy territory. She loves this area. No trees about, just beautiful, rolling hills. She jauntily jogs up one hill, then tumbles down it towards the next, a bundle of energy.

::Hodari stood there for a split second before dashing off after her, stumbling over his paws and falling down the hill. He growled and attempted to run up it again, this time not stumbling. He stood at the top, eyes gazing upon the lake below, a wide grin on his face as he slid down the other side, heading off after Ciyari. A few giggles escaped him as he landed at the bottem of one hill, landing upside down.::

The gray girl giggles, chuckling at her companion's antics as she frolics through the grass; without a care in the world, without worries. It's wonderful being a child at times.
They soon leave the hills behind and up onto solid, flat earth; Ciyari trots, unhesitating, through the path between the trees. In about another twenty minute's walk, they've come to the waterfall again. Not much has changed since yesterday - unless you count it being much quieter. The gray lioness cub, without hesitation, flops down in front of the cliff and a bunch of stones that seem curiously pressed into the rock at infrequent positions, yet close together. She begins muttering to herself as she studies them, pointing claws at several. "Three, four, seven...er, wait, is that nine? Twenty-eleven...no, three...four...." Yes, Ciyari has trouble counting. whee It's not a commonly used feline skill.

::He came bouncing up behind her, prancing joyously. He came to a stop behind her, watching as she attempted to count. He tilted his head slightly to the side, pacing around a little. He noted how quiet it was and smirked, glancing towards the trees. Ha! Those birds were gone! That was good... Such crude little rascles they had been....::

It takes quite awhile - enough for Ciyari to get frustrated, at any rate - but eventually she gets the right combintion, and hastily pushes a paw in to it.
A portion of the cliff swings away, revealing a slightly large pathway behind the waterfall - it's taller than it is wide, curiously enough. Ciyari came upon it by pure accident...she assumes it's 'magical.' She hasn't yet realized the cleverly-built hinges and spring mechanism that are built into the 'door'; nor does the print of a human hand in dye over the stones have any particular significance to her. It's not a pawprint, that's all she knows.
"C'mon!" She says, whisking a tail and jumping towards the opening, getting wet from the mist in the process. "We only got a little bit before it closes," She explains, scurrying inside.

::Suprise thwaped him upon the head and shook Hodari around as he witnessed the opening of the 'door'.... He was hesitent, standing where he was, not moving so much as a muscle.... Finally, he managed to shake his shock away... He skittered up behind Ciyari, looking around with a disturbed expression upon his face..:: "W-wierd....."

The little sparrow looking at all the lions was afraid she would be eaten. Staying up in the tree you could hear her " Squeak!" Hiccups. But why would they eat a harmless little bird when they had a big nice juicy steak or something? Still The little sparrow stayed up

The door swings shut on both Hodari and Ciyari, shutting them into the cliff. The first time this happened, poor Ciyari was quite shocked - but now she's an old hand at it. She stays still for a few moments, waiting for her eyes to adjust to the complete darkness.
Only the darkness isn't so complete as one would think. A soft, pulsating glow comes from later on in the passageway, and she flicks a tail, looking around at Hodari, whose outline she can only just see. She grins, whiskers twitching. Her voice echoes oddly into the enclosed space when she does speak. Once more she reflects on the surprise that it's rather dry out here...clearly, the falls above - which can only dimly be heard - don't penetrate that far down here.
"Up ahead - can you see that? That's where we're going. Stick close, it's easy to get turned around in here, there's lotsa little tunnels nearby...."

"A-awsome..." ::Hodari stuttered, taking a few steps foward to stand next to the lioness, gazing foward where she had said they were going... :: "Where.... Do the other tunnels lead?" ::He questioned her, eyebrows raised with curiosity. This was almost as exciting as when he had fought with Mizaku that one time.....::

But the little gray cub only shrugs. "I dunno...I almost got lost in one once, though." It was only by pure luck that she managed to get out. In the ordinary course of things, she would have lied to him and told him a fantastic story - but he's a pride member now, and he's earned the right to the truth. "I think they mighta been to confuse people that weren't supposed to be here...or maybe they're just a natural part of the caves. I dunno."
She walks forwards, still explaining, as they head closer to the eerie blue-gray light. "I wanted t'go find one that led to the cliff, up top, but I dunno which one it is, and I might get lost...it's really creepy and dark in a lot of those other tunnels. There might be miles an' miles of them. I wonder how many other cubs have starved to death," She sighs, wistfully. Bloodthirsty little thing. xd Or perhaps she simply just loves stories.
