Condescending comparisons are a hobby smile .
Seriously though, i'm not sure how the idea got started. I've certainly seen it before but its never made any sense.
Back to necrons I suppose.
So i've been playing crons since I started and theres something daft I've always noticed.
Heavy Destroyers.
Its not uncommon for me to run into necron players who claim heavy destroyers are worthless because regular destroyers can kill any vehicle and wound everything on a 6 anyhow. Anyone else ever hear this?
I mean sure they can, but thats beside the point. A heavy bolter can hurt any non-vehicle model currently in the game but people still use plasma guns to kill terminators. Same with Heavy Destroyers versus regular ones.
Anyhow, I normally run with as many as 6 in my standard lists. Anyone else had success with them? They've always given daemon princes who got a little too ballsy a good beating.

My tankbustas will shortly be equipped with looted heavy gauss cannons, and my rokkit trakkz will use the remainder of the platform.
...does that count?

They've always given daemon princes who got a little too ballsy a good beating. i run 1 heavy and he dose a really nice job as a sniper taken out the big guys with in 3 or 4 trys i think they are a good unite (id rather have a monolith the uber necron unit)

I loot anything. Unless it's nailed down. Then I loot the nails first. To be fair, I haven't looted anything Panzee. Just... too... weedy. Well... 'cept this. (not mine)

God damn, I had always thought to myself how I could not see an ork version of any eldar vehicle. No matter how i thought about it, i couldnt thin of a way to loot eldar, I even had ideas for nids.

Thats their problem, I agree why not take the heavies, but some poeple want to do things the hard way.

As for monoliths, hell yeah. I think it rocks to watch an opponents face change from confidence to dispair as the thing moves slowly to the middle of the battlefield, shrugging off their bright lances and heavy artillery like nothing, annihalating everything in 12-24' of it, getting right in the middle of their troops and just when it couldn't get worse, BAM, teleport a unit of flayed ones out the portal and assault them. FAVORITE PIECES: Speedy super powerful things -Destroyers (Both varieties) -Flayed Ones -Wraiths (The best!) BTW What y'all think of my siggy?
