Or maybe lol it's like a little cycle, you run blindly into a field of fire (ork behavior xp ) without considering your goign to get screwed. Then you go to ork heaven and fight again and die again, then you get grown again back on some planet in the imperium. So it's a never ending cycle of getting screwed again and again, or maybe their is now ork heaven and when orks die their gone for good xd

Soooo... lootas. Any recommendations for squad/armament?

I love Death Skullz, but hate Lootaz, and just want to make the best of the wasted points. biggrin

BEst go witha Space Marine Devistator Squad. Then you get a good range of weapons. I personaly like the Heavy Bolter...
I still am going to make my lootas, one of theses days. I just finished building my Ardboyz. They turend out pretty nice.

Is it worthwhile to leave lootas in "ranged combat" mode as long as they are suitably equipped?

do you mean as a serius weapon or for comedy value, ive always wanted to do any army made up mostly of these as i loved the idea of seeing how many shots the squads got ff before killing themselves with 3 shots each theres likley to be a good few ones comming out of them

The topic came up because I want to run a Death Skullz army and they require Lootas, which would be alright if Lootas had any viable or even worthwhile options. "Hey, let's pay for weapons as if we were BS4, but we're BS2! Let's add a chance of killing ourselves!"

Was there ever a consensus on whether or not Lootas can take transport options? The General FAQ and the Ork FAQ say two specifically different things, IIRC.

I think they can.
Like if you take Guard weapons, you can have the Guard transport.

On the topic of Ork Heaven, I think it's just like another thing that dies in the 40k universe. Its consciousness becomes part of the warp. But seeing Orks have their own subdivisions for themselves... you know, that crazy psychic field they emit that makes even their most far-flung of technological inventions (Kroozers, Tellaportaz, Gargants,) work, I would think that their consciousness kind of floats around in there until it puts itself into another ork body, freshly grown, and starts its life over again.

And to help the theory be sounder when coming to the idea of a population of Orks that exceeds the original number, probably the mass abundance of orkie thoughts swimming around spawns other consciousnesses, and voila, new Orks.

So, the only time an Ork really dies, is when you kill them all, or at least the ones in a certain large area, so the true warp floods in and wipes out that little subdivision, taking all the ork 'spirits' with it.

That would explain the Mek boys and Doks

...And how just a lick of red paint makes Wartrakks and other stuff move faster, because the orks believe it does.

Accutally, it has been set into our minds that a red sports car will go faster then one just like it

I know we think that, but it doesn't make it true. With Orks, it actually happens for no explainable reason from physics, or reality for that matter. You see, Orks are the most powerfully psychic race out in the galaxy, its just that they don't know it, nor have they refined a way to control it, they have to trick themselves to think their s**t works so it actually does work.
