As the wind blew her back, she could feel all of the clones charging towards her, but she could also tell which was the real Bone. She oriented on that one, and charged forward, doing what she could to get past the clones that were attacking her. If any of them launched a truly devastating attack at her, she'd focus on them. Otherwise, her objective was the real Bone.

Hedoro knew the time wasn't quite right to unleash the next stage of her attack, not just yet. She needed a little more time. She returned to what she was doing with focused determination, she was almost there. Just a little more time!

(Well, she heard them called Illusionary, so she's counting on them not existing. Even if they were real, she'd still charge towards the real you, only stopping for one if it looked like it was doing something really dangerous to her.)

She had begun to get close to Bone when it happened. As all of the clones passed through her, she felt a flash of relief that she'd been right, they were illusions. But then something else grabbed her attention. She could feel her chakra being sapped, was it the clones' doing? Then she was through the mass of clones, and looking much the worse for wear. Of the rags that remained, nothing had changed, they were still rags. But it was the rest of her that made it obvious that tactic of Bone's had worked wonders. Where before, she was a rich cobalt, now, she had the color of pale turquoise. She looked thinner, slightly emaciated. She'd also shrank in size by a solid foot. But nonetheless, she charged towards Bone once more, this time keeping a wary eye on the sapping effect of his clones.

Hedoro knew that with that last move, her timetable would have to be moved up several notches, or it would all come to naught. She needed just a little bit more time before she could proceed. But would she get it?

(Nice one! That certainly set her back a few steps. Just how much does each clone sap from her for a contact like that?)

There was a saying that Hedoro had come across in her travels. 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.' Bone had already used wind to push her back twice, did he really think she'd fall for it again so easily? An instant after he started the hand seals, she vanished from in front of him, using a simple Body Flicker to appear behind him. She knew something had changed within him, she had to attack now!

There really was no choice. She had wished for more time to put her plan into action, but Hedoro knew her time was up. Something in Bone had changed, and she knew that the battle was about to get much more difficult. She'd have to pull out all the stops now. Trying to calculate what the effect of moving her plan ahead several steps might be, she went to work. All of the substance she had infused Bone with had spread throughout his body by now. Some of it was clogging his chakra system, true, but there was more than enough to do that. The rest was using a new ability she'd gained, the ability to foster disease. She began focusing on infecting Bone's flesh with the most virulent and harmful diseases she could think of, diseases designed to freeze the nerves and decay the flesh. She'd deal with his flesh first, then move on to the metal she could feel within him. Considering her substance was lying next to, and within, nearly the entirety of his body, the symptoms of the diseases should appear very quickly indeed.

(Ah, I see. Well, if she let you, there'd be merit in that plan, it'd certainly do the trick.)

Hedoro could feel the disease she'd been trying to foster inside of Bone dwindle into nothing, he'd done something to fight it off, and now she could feel that she couldn't use that ability anymore. It wasn't an impossible situation, not yet, just more difficult. She activated the next facet of her plan, going to work. That electrical burst had delivered a shock to her mass, but it was holding together admirably. Since there was so much metal inside of Bone, the current had passed right through her and back into him. She reconsolidated her array, and got ready.

She twitched and shook as the brief blast of electricity temporarily shocked her into inactivity, but tried to shake it off. She still had a job to do. As soon as she was able to move, she rushed towards Bone again, doing her best to avoid any of the clones that got near her while still bearing down on her target. One hand was now empty, the kunai had been put away for the moment. She just needed one solid hit, that was all!

Hedoro could feel Bone starting to run away, and silently cursed. She wasn't about to let him get away, not after all he put her through! She activated a Substitution jutsu, swapping places with the small extraneous bits of substance that was stuck to Bone, revealing her true self. The form that had been tangling with the clones had merely been a decoy, the majority of her had been in hiding, sure she'd need an ace in the hole. And she'd been right.

Now hanging onto Bone, she took the opportunity to activate one of her last options, before it was too late. A large portion of her substance inside of him, after failing to infect him, had begun spreading once more, into intricate patterns. Circles, covered in archaic symbols. All they needed was a trigger, which she gave now. Activating the alchemical symbols scattered throughout a huge portion of Bone's body, she began transmuting him from the metal he already was, into base iron, turning the complex machinery inside of him into a solid mass.

(Well, even if you did manage to get underground, you probably wouldn't be able to completely scrape her off, there'd be enough left to activate the circles. And who said the circles were liquid, she used liquid to apply them, but ah well. If you really want to give up, I'll allow it. Now what would be a suitable punishment for running?)
