"Yes, but Kaiden lost his." Adele was quick to remind him, once again staring across the fields with a soft gulp. "I've seen what goes on down in those dungeons, Harry. I've seen...I've felt...how those at the gates of Hades must feel as they descend. I didn't want that for either of my children, and now...my youngest has to go and face it." She shook her head, her voice growing a bit shaky as well by the end of her sentence. A hand swept up to jerk a few locks of hair away from her eyes as she whirled around and looked at Harry with tear-filled golden orbs. "Why did I let them enter this, Harry? Why couldn't I just...have held on a little bit longer?"

Harry's eyes widened at the news that Kaiden had lost his match. Why hadn't he been made aware of this? Was his youngest son already in the dungeon? From Adele's attitude, he guessed that he was. He sighed, but was in a rush to comfort her.

Do you honestly think, dear, he said, almost wincing at the word for its possible effect on her, do you honestly think that they would have refrained from entering just because we didn't want them to? he asked softly, hoping that his blunder was forgotten.

Adele was silent as she listened to Harry speak, her slender form slightly trembling as if cold. Her only reaction to his words was a soft wince when he said 'dear', and nothing more. He wouldn't hurt you, Adele...you know that. Her internal reasoning, however, was quickly shoved away. But...what if something happens to him? What if something changes him and... She sighed deeply, forcing herself to process the words that Harry had said. "I suppose that you're right...they are adults, and I can't force them to be otherwise." Her arms suddenly felt empty, longing for something to hold. She was more than perfectly aware that it was a need to embrace Harry, but the mere thought sent a chill down her spine. She took a few tentative steps towards her and held her arms out. "Could I have Malvado back? I need to face..." She trailed off, her eyes stubbornly located on the softly snoring baby. No...she wouldn't look away. She would care for this child...that was that. Something inside of her refused to let Harry be burdened alone with the care of Malvado. It was her fault. She'd take care of him.

Harry glanced down at the sleeping baby. He had almost forgotten that the baby was there. He tried not to frown, though he was very concerned about Adele, and now Kaiden as well. He sighed and carefully passed the baby to her, being careful not to touch her in the least. He glanced at her, trying not to look too long and make her uncomfortable. He shook his head with a sigh and sat down on a nearby rock, not saying a word. It wasn't out of anger; he just didn't know what to do.

Adele took Malvado, barely looking at Harry as she did so. The baby...she could tell that he was soon to become a child. What sort of child will he be? she thought to herself. Could she raise him to be different, or would he be like his father...his real father? Would Harry influence him at all? Or...Wait... Something suddenly clicked in her mind. Her head snapped over to look at the dome. It was as if she was sensing a beacon or something of the like. Something was happening there...and someone, she could feel, was going to get hurt. She wasn't sure how. She wasn't even sure what she was feeling. All she knew was that she had to get back. "Harry...we have to get back to the dome. Something's wrong." Without even pausing in her words, Adele started walking swiftly towards it, eyes wide and nearly unblinking. No doubt she would make quick progress even on foot.

Sol steered Harmony towards the river that cut through the fields, eyes on her the entire time. They were caring, tender, things that weren't normally seen in a drake after he had met a girl only a few hours before. "Are you alright now?" he asked when they came to a slow stop. He was worried that there might be something really wrong with her, something that he couldn't help.

Harmony trembled uncontrolably for a few moments, the lighter side finally winning now that she was far away from that aweful Shadowdome. "I'll...I'll b-be fine... Th-thanks to y-you... A few moments more... I would have been just as savage as that monster which I hate to call father..." She said finally collecting herself. Though she was still shaken.

Sol arched an eyebrow, releasing her arm now and rubbing the back of his neck. "What do you mean? Do all Oblivion drakes have that problem at the Shadowdome?" he asked in genuine interest and curiousity. This was something he had never heard of before.

In another section of the Nightshade Fields, Catriona was moving along. She was rather confused on why Rio had ushered the both of them out just as Queince had led in a drunken boy, but it didn't quite matter to her. It was nice outside, after all, and it would give her a chance to explore why Rio was so interesting to her, if not to find out more about him.

Rio stopped walking and looked at Cat. "Well, I think we'll find this a better place to be right now." He said grinning. "It's always night here.. I think that's why i like this place"

Cat looked over her shoulder at Rio before she smiled and stopped, turning to face him. "It's nice and calm, and the stars are so lovely..." As if to illustrate her point, she looked up at the sky with a happy sigh. "I think that's why I like it. That and I never got a chance to come here when I was young. Alma was a bit too protective of me, I think."

In yet another section of Nightshade Fields, nearby Lookout Hill, Kaiden had begun to wander about. The poor lad was still absolutely aghast at what he had done. I'm in love with one girl, and yet I just...ugh, I can't believe I did that... He shoved his hands into his pockets and looked down at the ground, still in his tuxedo from the ball.

Kenjin, who was on Lookout Hill, watched as Kaiden walked below looking rather disturbed and depressed. Wondering what could be wrong with him.
"Yo, Kaiden!" He called down to him. "Come up here, you look like you need someone to talk to."

As soon as Kaiden heard Kenjin's voice, he had to surpress a groan. This...was not good. Surely Dawn had come and told him everything that had happened. Surely Kenjin was going to beat him to a pulp, uncle-in-law or not. Still, he couldn't very well refuse that request. It went against everything that he knew. Gulping before he looked up at the top of Lookout Hill, Kaiden smiled slightly up to Kenjin. He started up the hill towards him. "I guess I could use the company." he said when he reached the top of it, and sat down a few feet away from Kenjin.

Kenjin smiled warmly at his Nephew. "Still a bit depressed about my sister, Destiny, huh?" He chuckled. "Don't worry, I can't blame you... I'd be depressed too. Actually I was for a time. When I was in love with your aunt." He grinned. "I just finally told her the truth," his smiled faded. "But Destiny does not share the same feelings for you... I've known it. Like everyone, I too know she's different, and it breaks my heart to know that she is in love with that savage monster... Now Goddess knows where she is..." Kenjin frowned somewhat, then poured two cups of cocoa, handing one to Kaiden. "Here, hot chocolate will make you feel better."
