THROWDOWN - AUGUST 24th, 2018

The shows opens up with the United States Champion Bully Ray after attacking Sami Zayn last week before the match even started. He comes out and addresses the off-television promo from Seth Rollins and also the out of no where attack from him as well. Addresses the smaller men of the roster and talks about how Bully Ray is one of the last breeds of a "true" wrestler. Of course, Seth Rollins comes out and interrupts Bully Ray and addresses his own side of what/who Bully Ray is. Bully Ray eventually taunts Seth Rollins, as Seth Rollins was ready to come down the ramp into the ring, a bunch of security guards come out due to Kevin Nash. Nash announces Bully Ray against Kurt Angle, and Rollins to face Dolph Ziggler later in the night. Rollins is then forced to go back to get ready for his match.

Bully Ray, the United States Champion, after a heated confrontation with his rival Seth Rollins has to go on to face the #1 Contender for the CWF Championship, Kurt Angle. This match has a lot of Bully Ray taking advantage over Kurt Angle, but for some reason, mid-way, Seth Rollins came out once again and sat ringside. Rollins was playing constantly with Bully Ray's mind by calling out to him during the match and even going to the amount of grabbing his United States Championship. Eventually, after a minor distraction, Bully Ray was caught off guard with a roll-up out of no where by Kurt Angle, picking up the victory for himself. Bully Ray would go on to attack Kurt Angle, as Seth Rollins quickly came into the ring. Instead of attacking him, Rollins turned Bully Ray to face him face-to-face, giving him his "opportunity to break him in half". Bully Ray being the viscious man that he is, LOWBLOWS Seth Rollins out of complete no where. And as Bully Ray was about finish the job on Rollins, the CWF CHAMPION, THE UNDERTAKER comes out and shows his dark prescence in front of everyone. Saving Seth Rollins, he chokeslams Bully Ray, sending him out of the ring along with a terrifed Rollins to leave him with an escape. He then sends a message to the #1 Contender, Kurt Angle, leaving him laying with a huge tombstone piledriver, starting the show on a hot start.

The show continues and suddenly turns to what some people might call it, the Kevin Owens show. Kevin Owens goes on to face Hellfire, a worthy contender nowaways, with one of the quickest matches in CWF history. Hellfire suddenly hit his finishing manuever on Kevin Owens, the "Demon Horns", and pinned him for a three count early in the match. It was such an upset, it made Kevin Owens himself upset. Owens, suddenly attacking Hellfire, threw him to the outside and may have injured Hellfire with a powerbomb onto the apron. Kevin Owens with a furious look on his face, he yelled at the camera, and also yelled at the world, making a vow that he would be involved within the CWF Championship Match this Sunday, at the Great American Bash.

It continues backstage with Renee Young asking general manager Kevin Nash, what exactly are Kevin Nash's plans with Kevin Owens after not only an attack on Hellfire, but a THREAT to the CWF Championship match? Of course, Kevin Nash, being the fair man that he is, claims that Kevin Owens has not earned nor deserved his shot at the CWF Championship just yet. Especially after just losing to Hellfire. Kevin Owens of course, comes in furious as all ever and promises to break anyone to get a CWF Championship match. Kevin Nash then reveals he has a MYSTERY OPPONENT for Kevin Owens this Sunday at The Bash, and we will all find out who that opponent is, the same time Kevin Owens does.

The #1 contender, The Kingslayer, Seth Rollins, goes one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler after the confrontation he had earlier with Bully Ray multiple times. Recovering from a lowblow, Rollins had time to recover and seemed fresh as ever in this match. Rollins and Dolph being very athletic wrestlers as they are, have a competitive match back-and-forth. Rollins seemed to pick up most of the upper hand for most of the match. Hitting many big moves, there were a lot of nearfalls as well. And as Dolph tried to fight back, attempting to go for a famouser, Rollins used his amazing ability to catch him in a powerbomb position, hitting a Buckle Bomb and then finishing Dolph off with a huge Curb Stomp to end the match. Pinning someone like Dolph Ziggler would clearly send a message to the United States Champion, Bully Ray. Will we see Seth Rollins do the same thing on Sunday? We'll have to find out then!

To finally cap it off, we had the contract signing for the Throwdown CWF's Women's Championship, featuring the current champ, Irish Lass Kicker, Becky Lynch. Facing off against "The Empress of Tomorrow", Asuka. Becky Lynch being one of the most respectful wrestlers on the roster, explains how she respects Asuka as a wrestler and what she does in the ring, describing the work ethics of both women over the years. Even though both are very similar in some ways, a big difference is that Becky Lynch has been a dominating champion for almost half a year. Asuka with those scary eyes exclaims that, of course, no one is ready for Asuka. Not even a multiple-time defending champion like Becky Lynch. The two women face off and shake hands before ending the contract signing, making it official for these two to go one-on-one at The Great American Bash!
