It was over. According to the timer, she'd done rather poorly, but Nahori didn't care. All she cared about was quickly cleaning off her hands and arms so she could accept her prize without sullying it. She wanted to hug it to her chest, to celebrate her victory, to bask in the glow of the fact that she hadn't given up even though a younger Nahori might have. Thaaaat would have to wait, though. Surely there would be enough festival left for her to run home and change first (there were benefits to living in the plains, after all). Hopefully she could sneak in without mother noticing. This was one mess she just didn't feel like explaining right now.

How many times had she dug through this darn thing and come up empty handed? The memory of the shiny, plastic button was a faint one. Had it even happened? Or perhaps, in a state of hay induced delirium, Treide had imagined she was digging in and getting a beautiful shiny button for herself. On the otherside of the large stack, she was once more picking out pieces of hay and pondering the weirdness of the situation. CD rolled about in the hay this time, scratching himself. Seeing her father prone like that, she pounced with a shrill yip. Soon the duo started to wrestle and giggle. Even if there were no buttons, Treide still had the prize of her Da on the other side.

Treide carefully scooped the innards of a green punkin into the pot. CD watched, curious as to why his daughter would be doing such a thing. On the other side of the pot, one of the older trolls nodded in approval. Just like that, kid. That was right. When all the guts had been spilled into the waiting vessel, Treide stirred it with the large wooden spatula. It bubbled merrily. Taking a spoon, she dipped it into the mixture and pulled it out for a taste - YUM! Really, it was quite good.

"W-what...?" Rastin gasped, his hand sliding across his face. How could he have screwed up another batch of mooncakes! The crust looked wonderful, but he'd gone and overcooked them and the stamp was barely visible enough to see! He groaned and nudged the batch aside. When would he get the hang of this? Did he need baking lessons or something? He dreaded the thought of having to be taught to do something! Augh!

Wha? Since when did she have a toetatoe stuck in her pouch? She frowned and throw it to the ground, angry that it was still in there. Yucky. CD barked, ears lying backwards. That was not a good use of their resources. Sighing, she returned the spud to her pack and decided to exchange two of her beloved tarnips for two more totatoes. Then, she exchanged the three for two tickets. There. Gone and done.

"Noooo!" Elidae ran after it, though the little sucker was a lot faster than she thought. "C'mere, snouty, I just- I just wanna play!" She coaxed, following it around with open, inviting arms. "Please? Come to Elidae!"

Of course, the snoutbeast wasn't that stupid. Huffing, Elidae jogged at a reasonably quick pace in circles, relentlessly trailing after it. It seemed to just run around the ring! This was just silly. Skidding to a halt, the yellowblood put her hands on her knees as she took a breath, looking up at the area to decide her next course of action.

Running, running, running. So much running! Wiping sweat from her forehead, Elidae continued to chase after the snoutbeast. She probably looked ridiculous to those watching, soiled in mud and panting from loss of breath. It was okay thought! Eventually she would snatch it up! Elidae glanced nervously at the timer; she was already well over a minute! Looking to the snoutbeast, it seemed to be just as tuckered out as she was. One big breath later, the yellowblood stalked forward once again towards the seemingly unsuspecting animal.
