AlyKitt_RyukaI New member, here ( y'got me, Moonfang-sensei )... sweatdrop
As it turns out, I've an OC that was practically made for everyone's favorite baddies ; This'd be my girl Elrena. Only question I have is this :: Traditionally, her 'first Pokemon' ( loose term is loose ) is a Beldum she got from Steven Stone ( as she's a Hoenn native ). Would this be a problem in any way / shape / form? And if so, I'm open to alt. suggestions for what she should have. Gasp! I am a sensei! *___* Sadly it would be a problem due to the fact that Starters are obtained through a Test. That said, it's not impossible for you to obtain a Beldum based on the results of said Test. Though even if you don't get one as a starter, I can honestly say you've got a plenty strong chance of finding one on your adventures or in the hands of another student id that's what it takes. Hello! Welcome to Akumu Academy! Glad to have you here.

Hello! Welcome to Akumu Academy! Glad to have you here. Well what does this test entail? Is it an in-RP event? Its a literal test. Two tests actually. The first test is a personality test which determines you're class. It in general proves to be pretty accurate. We do it by test because...honestly if someone isn't in the right class for their mindset, it can occasionally end poorly. A good example is that we once had a student in what was then called the Tactics class, but rather than strategy she sort of had a tendency to barrel in face first. While in a class you can catch whatever Pokemon you want, each class has some unique abilities to aid in certain fighting styles. The Starter Test is....it's basically a trivia test. The higher your test score, the better your selection of starters. We're not beyond letting a student have a starter from a lower test score tier if they'd prefer it. Manage to get 100% and we may even consider allowing a non-standard starter. Within limits of course. Obviously no Legendaries.

( also, can she be from Lilycove City? ) The test is done via PM so no one can gleam the answers, and she can be from any city from any Pokemon media. My own characters are frequently from towns only appearing in the movies.

Nope, two tests and a combat tutorial before you make a Profile. We do the Tutorial first because it both gives people some time to flesh things out slash figure out their characters, and admittedly we have had a few people drop out during the Tutorial. Also it has occurred to me I didnt directly answer your earlier question. The Test is not technically an RP event, but it can be if you like. The link to the first test is on the front page. I would grab it for you but I have a cat interfering with my typing abilities.
