"...and so I left them in the care of Ronaldo Kuriki. I know it's not what I was suppose to do, so I'll accept whatever punishment you have in mind." Gin lowered his head, but was met only with a sigh. As he glanced up, he saw that instead of being upset Makoto Sako was smiling back at him, although it was one that clearly bore a bit of guilt itself. She must have approved of his actions, but at the same time was torn by her thoughts...it seemed to be a common aspect of her personality, and one that he hoped to alleviate. This situation simply didn't allow for such a response.

"I understand. I'll try to relay the information the the Chief as best I can. He...may be a little upset, but you were only suppose to patrol the area. Frankly running into a team of looters was something we didn't anticipate." Gin nodded. He knew what she meant, and that she wasn't saying he would get off scott free. To the Chief, his opinion alone held a great deal of sway, and he had just damaged his own worth in his eyes. But Makoto didn't hold that sort of reservation, and tried to see it through Gin's perspective...he greatly admired her for that. "Just...one thing. Try not to associate with Ronaldo Kuriki anymore. He's dangerous, and you'll only end up getting hurt. Promise me."

Gin nodded. He didn't feel the same, but he knew that she was only speaking from the heart, so he would give it consideration in his actions from here on out. "I understand, Ms. Sako. Thank you for considering my position." Gin blushed when Makoto began laughing in return, showing an oddly innocent face she hadn't revealed before. Perhaps it was because she was always so earnest, but he didn't remember much more than her frown when she was on duty. The fact that he was seeing a different face now made him feel like they were becoming friends, and that made him happier than finding out that he wouldn't be punished. "Please, call me Makoto. And don't worry...we're in this battle together. We'll find a way to survive, as long as we stick together until the end." Gin nodded again. That was a message he could find himself getting behind.

Faustus Necromonium
Faust watched as the Megrez fell from the sky, surrounding him.
"Alright, alright. An offering. Whatever." he called, pulling out several tokens and tossing them to the ground. "I'll leave in peace...Oh no, scary monster...Yada..yada.."
The buds were...if cones could express surprise, they would be at how blase he was about the whole thing. People were scampering, fearing for their lives...
He just sounded..perturbed. And, as he walked off, they still didn't know what went wrong.

Faustus Necromonium
It took them a few solid minutes, but the Buds eventually moved to catch up with him, Faust holding up his arms.
"Look, i have no more spare change." he called, gesturing. "So, if you're going to kill me, make it quick."
He had a brave face, but he was scared...Truly he was. The explosions would tear him asunder, and the quakes would bury him under the earth so no-one could...
"*Yawn*"
...Yeah, he was tired of it. And, as the explosions would ring out, he awaited the cold sweet embrace of death.

"Tch, an ambush!" Gin raised his hand as Alice cast a "Die For Me" on the demons in front of him, reluctantly defeating more people. The Rioters, ones he knew were working for Ronaldo this time, had forced his hand by trying to ambush he and a JPs patrol much like the previous crew. He knew that these people were different, because they weren't going for the throat in the same way those looters were, but to the JPs agents next to him it wasn't much of a difference. He'd already forced Alice to step in the way of a potentially lethal blow by his own people, and tensions were still rising... "Don't hurt anyone if you can help it! Our levels are too different. We just have to protect our supplies, and fall bac-hey!" Gin was forced to grab another member of his team as they tried to rush forward to bash one of the defeated rioters. He was already feeling tired of reigning these people in. Perhaps if he hadn't helped Yamato Hotsuin...no, it was too late for doubt now.

Faustus Necromonium
Faust looked up as the girl appeared, her demons moving beside her. He sighed, before standing up next to her with a smile.
"You're right. I still owe you." he called lightly, starting off with her. 'I'll try to not die before I can take you out to get another parfait."
He left with her to safety, hoping that the strange thing in the sky was done trying to assail them.
