"Yeah, yeah..." She threw Melony a look for insulting her intelligence like that (even though the poor kid didn't mean it like that probably) before promptly offering the strange crystal to Aria. "There's a smart one. Of course we'll have to fight, big bosses never go down easy . . . But just as long as they keep dropping things like this, and as long as we keep on fighting, we'll be okay." That was probably going the mantra, huh: "We'll be okay."
Her numb and blackened back said otherwise. She fought the urge to pick at it, because Zelda was nothing if not strict about appearances, she noted.
We'll be okay.
Hearing Vatatchi from before, Zelda craned her head in her direction with a dry look. "Yes, you look the part of a pirate just fine, V. Personally I think you just wished to be a loudmouth no-one could ignore, good job've that too." But badass...Well, she wouldn't contend that point after watching her final attack. Maybe they were all just run amok pre-teen badasses.
"Now that I've tended to my moral duty as a good little girl, I really do want to start thinking about this wish business. Because who the hell enlists and army of little girls to fight nasty things like that?" she asked in general. "It said we volunteered at the beginning and now said that we got a wish; so if I'm not making a huge leap in logic, that means we're fighting for it because we got some desire or whatever fulfilled." What a twisted little genie if so! "Anyone not getting reception about theirs?"

Lady Mist
During all her freaking out, she hardly noticed the girl who was even calling out to her, more so darting her bright blues around at the cats that were of various species, rubbing against her. Clutching her dinky handbell to her chest, along with her little blue egg, she finally noticed that one girl..
what was her name? oh well, she was calling out to her!
Running over, Bea gasped, and widened her eyes, "Hey! whathappened to you!? why do you look so beat up?!" she asked immediately, looking down at herself, to the girl that was on the ground. When her own weapon was mentioned, she held the handle out from her, and wrinkled her nose, staring at it, "I... guess? I'm not really sure what's going on!" she exclaimed in agony, before dropping down to her knee's, a sabertooth tiger skeleton rumbling deeply and resting its cheek against her. Pinning her own fluffy ears back, she frowned lightly, "No... I don't know what I wished for... But I know it definitely wasn't for all of this!" she tossed her arms to gesture to what was around them, and gave a great huff of dissatisfaction.

Melony winced at that. She hadn't meant anything bad by it. "Sorry if you took it that way Zelda. But I really don't know what my wish was about."

Istas smiled, "Oh good, I'm glad." She said looking relieved that the other girl was okay. It wouldn't do if one of them got really bad hurt, maybe she shouldn't've used her crystal if she'd known things like this were going to happen.
The grin continued at Nila spoke and introduced herself, "Nice to meet you." Istas added with a nod, of course when she was asked if she knew what was going on there was a small pause, "Uh... I'm pretty clueless myself." She said after Nila explained that she didn't remember much either. "I mean apparently we said we'd fight but I... don't know what we're fighting and why." She looked thoughtful, "And... I don't know about a wish.... I mean obviously I had one since it keeps asking if I remember. . ."
There was a small frown, "Maybe we could figure it out together?"
Phaedra hesitated for a moment and then shook the blonde's hand. It seemed like the right thing to do--another familiar forgotten thing. "I'm Phaedra." But what did it mean to be Phaedra?
"So you've all seen it too? It's not just a hallucination?"
Was it a good or bad thing that it was all real? None of them knew what was going on. None of them seemed to remember. She looked at the dull glow of the crystal in her hand, it had to hold some kind of answers.
What is your wish?
Her wish....Something flickered in her mind, then faded again. She couldn't quite grasp it, it slipped through her fingers again.
"Do any of you remember your wish?"
Are we all in the same boat?

Elspeth looked toward Zelda and contemplated. What their wish was? What their wish was... she felt her gem, her fingers tracing along the cracks of it, fearful that any sort of pressure could cause more cracks. The chain-wielder was certainly right about the situation. Who does enlist a bunch of girls, give them magical powers, wipe them of their memories, and force them to fight for their lives against these monsters? She certainly did not know the answer to that, then again, it would make things much more clear.
"What I want to know is why we don't have our memories anymore, Zelda. If we had them, maybe we could make a better guess at what these 'wishes' were." She stepped forward. "I don't know what I'd wish for..."

Tear-stained cheeks lifted to stare hopefully at that which had woken her, one hand lifting, palm up, waiting for the crystal to land in her hand. Glancing down at the two items in her palms, she gave a little sniffle as she touched the crystal gently to her gem, watching as the cracks began to recede.
Do you remember your wish?
Sniffling, she thought long and hard, considering.
What was her wish?
All she could think was that she wanted, more than anything, to make people happy.
She looked at Poppy and frowned slightly, none of them seemed prepared for any of this but her compassion was a stark contrast to the violence they were facing. She kept her mouth shut since there seemed plenty of other girls offering comfort and assurances.
Instead she turned her attention to Zelda and the group of girls nearest. She still felt that retreat was the best option, but then the wish was mentioned and she bit her lip lightly.
"I was thinking about the wish, but then obviously was distracted by..." She motioned with a frown and then continued. "I can't recall what I wished for, but I know enough about myself and this situation to know that I probably didn't wish for wealth or longevity. I wonder if we got our wishes already or if they aren't granted to us until we do that things bidding and fight against...these things?"
It seemed she had more questions than answers, but at this point no one really seemed to have any concrete answers. She sighed softly and her finger brushed against the green fear core lightly assuring herself it was still there and in one piece despite it's slight fracture.

Keiko found herself peering around at the crowd of girls. While she admired Nemi's cheerful attitude, she wasn't entirely sure it was the right approach to the situation. As she was looking around for anyone who might have any idea as to what was going on, the creature appeared again.
Her wish? Keiko wasn't sure what he meant, but she didn't have time to think it over before some sort of monster appeared. Was this what she had signed up for? She wondered how she must have gotten herself mixed up in this mess for a brief moment before joining in on the fight.
Quickly, she activated her staff and went in for her first hit. It struck the monster but she still felt as if she could have done more damage.
Determined to do more damage on her second hit, Keiko moved in with more resolve. This time she managed to hit with full force and do twice the damage of her fist hit. Pleased with her progress, Moriko went in for her final hit.
As Keiko moved in for her third and final hit, a name popped into her mind and she shouted it as loudly as she could. "Strengthening spell of Determination!" Hmm.. she really needed to work on these names. No time to think over it now though, her spell strengthened her staff and it hit into the monster with the added strength of her spell. She was a little disappointed that it wasn't as powerful as she had hoped, but it was still a good hit.
As Keiko moved away from the monster, one of it's many tendril's hit her square in the back. She cried out in pain as she tumbled away from the creature. Her back stung and she could feel tears welling up in her eyes. Quickly she tried to blink them away. It wouldn't do to start being weak now.
She looked down at the wound, though it was difficult to get too good of a look, she could still see that her skin had been corroded and several black wisps were escaping from it. She attempted to touch the wound, though fearful of the extra pain she might feel. Instead, she simply felt a numb tingling sensation. For a brief moment her legs began to shake, she wasn't sure if it was out of fear or some unnatural cause. However, the feeling passed quickly and she began to feel better. She only hoped that they might be able to defeat this monster without many more injuries.
Moriko quickly moved to pick up the crystal and was startled to see the creature again. He just liked to pop up randomly didn't he? She wasn't entirely sure how much she trusted him, but right now he was all that she had.
She moved the crystal next to her gem and watched as the cracks quickly faded away. Well, at least he had been right about that. Although she was still unsure of her wish. Perhaps she had wished for her family and friends to be safe? Although she might not ever know.

Maria glanced back where the monster still was. She couldn't believe it. That thing was still standing! What was it going to take to bring that thing down? She looked around the area they were still in and spotted so many other girls. They were all charging at the monster and fighting it with all their might. Some of them looked like they did some real damage. But even then, the monster didn't go down. She wan't so much to go and help but knew she wouldn't be of use right now. Her best bet was to stay away from the monster for now. The last thing she needed was to get injured again when she couldn't fight. "I don't know... It's strong. That's for sure. Who knows how long it will take." She answered Ridley's question about the monster. "It looks like quite a few of the other girls are doing some good damage. But..." she looked back to her group. "It seems like the monster doesn't even notice them..." The first thing that came to mind was, what if it'd not defeated? What if their attacks aren't really doing anything to it? Will they be stuck here fighting it? If that's the case, could they run away? Seek a different place to hide till it goes away? A bunch of questions flooded her head at once. Many of them had to do with the monster and what they could do if it didn't go down. Others hand to do with where they were and where they could go if it didn't. She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck as she looked at her friends. They were all pretty tired and she didn't want to worry them further. So rather then say anything, she kept quiet about that. "Wishes?" Maria was brought out of her thoughts by Ridley and Tamara's talk of wishes. "Oh yes! That's right. It did say something about wishes. That's right. It asked if we knew what our wish was." She looked at both Ridley and Tamara. They couldn't remember theirs ether. She frowned and shook her head. "No... I cant seem to remember mine..." She closed her eyes as she hung her head for a moment. "But..." She looked back up at them. "For some reason, the word protection keeps coming to me. Maybe mine had something to do with that?" Before she could say anything else, they were joined by another girl. Maria smiled at her. Looks like their little group was growing. Good! The more in a group, the better they could all protect one another. She smiled and nodded when Ridley introduced her to the new girl. The girl seemed a little nervous and uncertain. Maria knew how she felt. She felt the same way at first when she woke up and found a little fuzzy creature with long ears, talking to her. "Hello. It's nice to meet you Phaedra." She then frowned. "No... sadly its not a hallucination." She looked at Phaedra. "Don't worry... we all saw it... see it. I guess would be the correct term, since the thing is still there...." Again she took another glance back toward the monster. When Phaedra asked if any of them remember'd their wish, she shook her head. "No... we were just talking about that too when you walked up. Do you? I think mine had something to do with protection. The word kept coming up in my head."

"I.. ah.." Jocelyn was lost amidst the sea of girls and not a single one looked familiar. She heard talk of wishes and memories but.. well she was very confused. With her magic currently recharging she could do nothing but dodge around girls who were fighting and drift awkwardly onthe outskirts of girls who'd seemed to group up.
Where had her group gone?
What was her wish?
All she wanted to do was help. Had that been her wish? Something so simple?
