"I...I have to face off with Jekyll and Hyde," he finally said, his voice thick with oncoming tears. "And...there's a slight...slight possibility..." The detective couldn't make himself finish.

They won't rest until they've either killed their fill, or until they're dead, and if saving the world from those lunatics means sacrificing myself..." Lock turned back to look at Ethan, tears falling down his face rapidly. "I love you, Ethan. That's why I need to do this and keep you safe. Please, it's the only way!"

"Then go..." Ethan finally said in a shuddering voice. He dipped his head downward, letting his wavy, black hair covering his watery eyes, the shudders from his silent sobs shaking tears off his face and onto the bed sheet. "Just go..." He wanted to yell, he wanted to cry, to scream, to pull his hair out and throw a tantrum over how unfair this was. But he didn't; he couldn't. As unfair as it was, it would be worse if he let the entire world perish for his own selfish reasons.
But for once couldn't the world let him stay happy?
... Of course not. He was cursed with the world's worst misfortune, and smiles were short-lived on his face.
Shutting his eyes tight, Ethan sniffled and turned his head away. "Just go away!"

Lock inched closer, pulling Ethan into his arms and holding him as securely as he could. "Ethan, I love you. I'm not going anywhere until it's time for me to leave, and I'll follow you if you try to go. You need this last day as much as I do."
Lock's lips touched every piece of skin they could reach. "Please, Ethan...just give me tonight...love me tonight. I'll fight to return to you, even if I lose my life, I will fight. I'll come back to you. Just..give me tonight."

๑۩۞۩๑๑۩ﺴ Some shadows have more depth. ﺴ۩๑ Oh the things Ethan wanted to say. He wanted to scream at Lock to go away and let him be alone, to tell him to just go do whatever he always did.
But again, he couldn't. As much as he hated to admit it, Lock was right, he needed him as much as the other did with him. He wanted to stay in Lock's arms for the entire day and treasure their final hours together.
Not saying anything, Ethan let his head drop against Lock's shoulder and began crying. All his fears, his worries, his mourning for what was to come, and worse, the realization of how limited their time together was, fell into each tear drop and onto his lover's shoulder.

Hos golden eyes fell closed, and Lock quietly held the man he loved. He wasn't as afraid of death as he thought he would be. Faced with it like this, all he could think of was Ethan, and how Ethan would handle it.
"I'll come back to you," whispered Lock into Ethan's neck. "I...I don't know how. But I will come home to you, Ethan. Just...wait for me. Promise you'll wait for me."

There was nothing more bittersweet than this moment, Ethan realized. At one moment he was playing with Lock over what progressed after their date last night, and now they were holding each other during the very last day that had together. From cheer to dread in a matter of minutes. Mayah Playah Alright, I say this is the last post before the big battle because I'm sleepy! Now remember, quote me 'cause I wanna read it!

Leaning Ethan back and sweetly kissing him, Lock settled his nervous love against the thick pillows, sliding his hands up Ethan's body and caressing the flesh. his lips moved at a slow, tender pace, trying to hold as much romance in the kiss. Awesome nerd Hell no, give them some time before Lock's killed. I'll qute you, but only because Ethan needs to be there at the end.

Whenever he tried to look into his lover's eyes, his own eyes would force themselves closed from the sensitivity they felt caused by all the tears. He wrapped his arms around the blonde's neck and cried into the kiss, thinking only of the moment they had together rather than what lie ahead.
