"I know very little about styles," Lin replied as she looked over at Miyuki.

Miyuki shrugged, "I know very little about men styles, they nearly look all the same to me."

While she did noticed they were made differently, really most men wore shirts, pants, vest and cloaks. There didn't seem to be much of a difference between any of them. So Miyuki had no idea what was available for men.

"Though... you might want to tell Uncle Helen that you'll be wearing goggles most of the time. He'll want to know that," Miyuki added.

Andarien looked at Miyuki curiously. "Yeah? Because they're a different style? Like they're different from the glasses we were looking at first?"

That made sense to him. Young and male he might be, but even he knew that the two styles of eyewear were quite different and would look better with different clothes.

Miyuki nodded at this, "And it might help him decide which style would be best. Sometimes the style is based off of looks, other times it is history or personality. Like mommy looks a lot like grandfather and grandmother, and grandfather's culture is Chinese, so that's why mommy's clothing has Chinese in it. Where kitsunes come from a Japanese culture, so that's why I was given kimonos."

Though she looked good in kimonos, so she wasn't going to argue with that. Helen had mentioned there were other types of clothing Miyuki could wear in the past.

"Okay," Andarien nodded. "I'll tell Uncle Helen about my goggles then."

He looked around them. They were almost to the last house, and they were showing no signs of slowing down.

"Does uncle Helen live here somewhere?" he asked. "Or do we have to leave the grounds?"

"Nope, this is it," Lin replied as they reached the large building that had two doors side by side.

Both had large front windows. The one on the left had mannequins that wore all sorts of styles to a man's tux to an Southland style elven dress. The window on the right was filled with all sorts of accessories, from jewelery to handbags.

Lin explained, "They live closest to the entrance because most of their customers come to them personally, where Yukiko's clients often call in to ask for items to be delivered."

That and Yukiko was originally supposed to work along side Cindy, but that building was still empty. Cindy didn't seem that interested in moving back ane had come to like the life she lived in the Four Lands.

Ushering everyone to the door on the right, Lin led them all into the wide open shop. Mannequins lined the room in couples of male and female, wearing clothing that made them a set. At the base of the mannequins were plaques that read "Kimonos", "Gothic", "Victorian", "Elven", "Street" and so forth. For a clothing shop it lacked the rolls and rolls of cloth for customers to choose from. Instead, against one wall was a large black screen was mounted and underneath was a glass table with a tablet on it.

Helen and Trisha were huddled for the island counter in the middle of the shop, where the cash transactions took place. They were looking at a second tablet, and talking to each other. Though they stopped when they heard the door bell chime.

Earendil and Andarien looked around as they entered the shop. Earendil recognized the clothes that were based on styles from his homeland, but Andarien was enthralled with it all.

Earendil was curious about the screens that were against the one wall, but when he saw Trisha and Helen, he smiled and waved a small greeting to them. "Good afternoon," he greeted them.

"Earendil! Lin!" Helen smiled widely as he stepped out from behind the counter, "I didn't think I'd see you until later."

"We were caught up at Elnara's so we decided we at least had to visit you and Triton before the day is up," Lin explained, "You remember Miyuki."

"Hi Uncle Helen!" Miyuki grinned, "What new designs do you have this time?"

"And..." Lin added as she looked down at Andarien, "Our son Andarien."

"So I have heard," Helen exclaimed, "I only managed to catch a glimpse at that dinner. It's good to meet you Andarien."

Trisha smiled at her sister and family, "You made it just in time. Helen has been fussing over the men styles since this morning. He can't decide on what to choose."

Men had always given Helen far more trouble than women.

"Hi," Andarien waved shyly at Helen. Helen was glowing softly, and the effect was softened by the dark goggles the boy was wearing. Trisha also had a glow, but softer, like Lin's glow.

"Choose?" Earendil questioned curiously. He didn't see any designs anywhere or anything, and he was wondering how Helen would "choose" something.

Helen got that look in his eyes, the kind Andarien got when he was particularly excited about a piece of technology.

"I must show you!" Helen announced as he motioned for the family to follow him to the screen in the back, "I have already set aside and modified a set of styles of men I think would be fabulous! I just simply cannot decide though for you Earendil what would suit best. Of course I must make a couple's set for you and Lin, and I'm afraid I do not know much about Andarien. So I must let him choose his style for me!"

He nodded as he turned on the screen and picked up the tablet on the glass table.

"Shiro and Serenity made this on mine and Trisha's request, it allows us to cycle through dozens of styles and modify them to our liking," Helen smiled up at them, "Of course we always have to get it updated every time Trisha and I come up with a decor piece we hadn't thought to put in before."

The screen came to life as Helen activated a program. It looked like a drawn version of Helen's shop. The excited clothes designer tapped the filing cabinet in the corner which brought up a window of files. One of them had Earendil's name. Helen then tapped that and on the screen appeared several dark skinned mannequins. Most of them wearing pants, shirt and vests from different periods. Most were from the Victorian era and some looked a bit steampunkish, while one looked like it had an Asian influence being red with a complicated gold pattern on it.

Andarien shuffled closer to Earendil. Helen was a bit more energetic than he'd expected. He was glad that Earendil was the first focus of attention. It allowed him to get used to his uncle before having to really deal with him.

Earendil looked at the clothes on the screen. He had to admit, the Victorian era clothes (not that he would know that was what they were called) looked a bit ... tight. Not very travel-friendly.

"They all look nice," he admitted, "but I'm not sure how practical ... we're going to be a lot of traveling ..."

He liked the red and gold outfit, both in design and colour, though even that looked too nice to travel in.

Helen waved off the worry, "These ones aren't meant for travel, just to look good. Like I said, I have wanted to make a couples set for you and Lin for a while now and the last design reflects that. It`s quite modeled after Lin`s own style of clothing, though I do have a more formal version of the shirt she prefers. I even set up an alternative white and blue version in case the red and gold didn't pan out."

There was no reason why it shouldn't though. Earendil, like Elnara looked good in gold and red, and Lin having a lot of Donovan's colourations just looked good in those colours by default. However, he was aware that blue and white were the colours that represented the Soutland royal family and as a Winters, Lin had always been preferable to blue and white.

"As for traveling, I couldn't really make anything that was too decorative, that would have been impractical," Helen turned back to the screen.

He slide the mannequins over to reveal another set. Many of them were more based off of the clothing found in both the Westland and Southland, mainly because these were societies that traveled by foot and horse. So they tended to know better. Though it was clear Helen did have a like for vests for men, and had chosen suitable doublets but modded them slightly so they wouldn't be as tight fitting and gave more room around the shoulders. These were the only obvious Gaian references. Though there was one set that was clearly styled off of the martial art clothing that Triton preferred, only because it was comfortable, light and allowed mobility for fighting.

"I took more of a mix and match from the West and South back in Arda," Helen explained, "The West because their clothing styles take into account very cold weather. The last set are based off of clothing that was designed for those who deal in the martial arts. They are the lightest set, so better for hot weather and they provide the most mobility."

"That is very impressive," Earendil chuckled, though it was a laugh of impressed disbelief rather than amusement. "I have to say, I've never seen so much thought put into clothes before ..."

"Can we see the first ones again?" Andarien piped up, looking up at Helen, eyes wide behind his goggles. "Please? I saw some clothes that look like my goggles ..."

"Like the goggles you're wearing?" Helen inquired.

Lin explained, "We had shopped for new lens for Andarien and chose to have them installed into goggles, which we picked out at a steampunk themed shop."

"Ah...." Helen nodded as he swiped the set back to the original formal clothes, "So there was one that was specifically steampunk, but a lot of the Victorian design is where that genre was based off of. Personally, I like it, it looks good on men and can be personalized compared to some other styles I know."

Helen always had a hard time with men's clothing because they were difficult to embellish without it looking strange.

Andarien looked at the clothes that were on the screen.

"Do you have those clothes for kids?" he asked Helen, pointing at some of the steampunk outfits. "Or those ones?" he asked again, indicating the regular Victorian style clothes.

"I can make clothes for your size," Helen assured him, "Do you like those?"

He had to admit, he really did like Victorian wear, but he did understand Earendil's concern. If the concern was serious enough, he would have to modify the steampunk and Victorian wear to allow Andarien to be more mobile in them.
