Niajhay, I know Cobra is helping you out in PM. I also have observed your posts in the RP improving a little bit. It's slow, but it's there, which is good. But Greg is right. This is a RP guild. A world where nobody cares about your age, race, religion. Your grades in school don't matter, nor does your school itself. We don't care if you're a genius chemist, Harvard graduate, lawyer, or the president of an entire country. All that matters is your writing. We don't see any of those other things, we can't tell anything about you except for how well you write.

While making yourself an expert RPer will take a very long time, improving your writing takes only five minutes. Write out your post as normal, then before posting, look back over it. Are all of your 'I's capitalized? Do you have periods and commas properly placed to split up your sentences? Are there spaces after your punctuation? Did you use the right spelling on all of your words?

Checking all of these things takes only the length of time required to read your post through once. And after you have gotten used to correcting these errors, you will eventually stop making them entirely. So I challenge you, read all of your posts before you submit them, and correct any errors you find. Do this, and nobody will bother you again, and you will improve drastically. It will take time before you can make a flawless post on your first try, but you can make one with the effort spent in editing.

I made this post because I had to address an issue with another member that was buried by random posts. My addressing him had been completely forgotten, as shown when Niajhay responded to a post in this chatroom made after my own, completely ignoring my post. To ensure this did not happen again, I did what I did.

At the moment, my post WAS more important that the random chatter going on. I prioritize informing a member that their continued RP in POTS is at stake over random chatter.

Niajhay had been contacted several times in several ways regarding grammar, PM being one of them. Seeing as none of those had worked thus far, this is the method that was employed, a method that would ensure a response.

Instead of blowing up at me, you could have understood that this was an important issue that had to be resolved, waited until we were finished, and then continued posting, which is exactly what happened.

This is not an abuse of power, this is a necessary use of power that I employed with the permission of our guild captain, not that I necessarily would have required it in order to do this. I did not want to have to make that post, but out of necessity, I did. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but if it is necessary in the future, this method will be employed again. Using ellipses, bold font, and implied sarcasm to express your anger will not make this complaint post any more effective. Please refrain from it in the future.

As VC, I do possess the ability to close the chatroom in situations that the crew or myself deem necessary for it to be closed. This was one of them. Its not something I wanted to do, it was something that was necessary. Closing the chatroom for a few hours is not a punishment. When I made my first post, people should have understood that it would be better to let the issue be resolved before posting again. Obviously, they did not, and thus, my post.

I have already addressed that other methods were employed unsuccessfully. Therefore, we resorted to this, which seems to have worked.

Call it whatever you like, but if it is necessary, the method will be employed. People can live without being able to post in the POTS chatroom for a few hours.

Technically, Grammar is only something you can instantly change if you know the rules of grammar. Learning the proper rules of grammar can take a while... especially if you're not a native English speaker, or very young. So, if he doesn't KNOW the rules, he can't just flick a switch and be grammatically perfect... it'll take some time and some effort.

I know for a fact that english IS his first language, but this is a valid point. I suppose I did not consider that he may not know all the rules of english grammar, I merely assumed he was familiar with them. Thank you, Cobra.
