"Elliot, that boy, I believe, is unstable right now. And the recent turn of events even more so. His mother's death is what tipped the scales that were balancing his mind. after that, I don't really know what happened." He gently stroked the head on his lap. "Lewis' previous life has been a secret from the entire kingdom. can you imagine how they would react if a Prime Minister had previously been a bentien?" Looking at Leo he smiled softly. "I had gone to Reta previously, before Elliot went, to discuss things with the king, of a treaty. We had both decided to take a week to finish up our final drafts and I would send my son to finalize the treaty. Elliot has left the kingdom once or twice before, but tobe an ambassador of peace, well the Retian king was delighted and said he'd give him a gift of thanks." He looked down again. "Perhaps I am a terrible father, for I had suggested a bentien. I had saved one, and I didn't think it wrong to save another."

he looked up again. "Was it selfish? I was playing on my own feelings and the secret that my son is a homosexual. I don't even think he has fully opened and admitted it to himself, but he has never once brought up the topic of a wife when he discuss, or how adorable the maids are, and let me tell you I've worked hard to find beautiful maids, both inner and outer beauty." He sighed, sliding down his chair to sit next to the Prime Minister and lean his head on his shoulder. "I do not understand what is going on in Elliot's head anymore. He used to be so terrible at controlling his emotions, and now the lights are white everyday. I thought him to be dead inside."

"Yes?" he said softly, holding his lover's hand, relaxed somewhat. He had work, but the man already knew the Prime Minister would keep him from it. It seemed to be his unknowing duty to distract him. But Alvaro continued to listen to Leonard, nodding every so often. So his son was not dead, Leo was warming him up. "and here I thought you were telling me gossip, Lewis." And chuckled to himself before noticing Leo get off of his chair. "No, you won't." and moved forward, grabbing his shoulders before he could bow. "The spirits have taken pity, because I only said a bentien, I never chose which one, my dear Lily." But he let go, allowing the other to finally bow. Considering how many times Lewis had done it despite his protests, he might as well let Leo do it.

"I could not have possibly known you would have saved my life, but continue talking about my son. I wish to know everything you know about him. We have spoken in some time unless it was for business." And moved, grabbing the paperwork off his desk. He had to finish some of it. Couldn't be a lazy king now could he?

"You are not imposing, Lily. There were many a time where a younger Elliot would climb onto my lap to distract me from work. Now someone has replaced him." And sent a humored gaze toward Lewis as the man spoke of his son's feelings toward the bentien. He even went so far as to laugh, scribbling away quickly as he edited the law the council wanted to pass. "We can continue this now, I merely suggested you keep your hands below my knees, Lewis. He has a nasty habit of growing bored when I work."

The man thought a moment, pen still moving across the paper. "According to the gossip from the maids, they also believe Elliot adores you very much, the energy he puts in adoring you is probably the same amount he puts in hating Lewis." How he wished to know what caused that hatred. "Though, I suppose we can continue it later, Lily has some very difficult embroidery to do." and continued to silently work, hardly stopping as his stomach explained it would start eating itself. "Yes, breakfast! Lily have you eaten? We can all go down now to eat something. However I will still be working, but my hunger is getting the better of me." And laughed. It seemed unlike his son, who could skip meals to work, the king could manage. Elliot needed his meals delivered else he forget to eat.

Alvaro chuckled, shaking his head and continued to read, responding with a small nod as tea was poured and placed on his desk. "They're thinking about adding security to the borders." he murmured, taking the bite from Lewis's hand. It wasn't something he wanted to agree too, since there was always the possibility of a bentien escaping. "Along with that, different working laws, but if I change those taxes with rise, and you remember how everyone responded to that previously. Taxation on the rich, perhaps."

"Not all of them come as women, Lewis, some are children, or claim to be boys. It wouldn't work." he thought a moment. They were on good terms with all borders except maybe Reta, but they had just allied. "We'll put this one off a bit longer, see how things fare within the coming year." And moved to the next set of papers, all from envelopes. " 'We the Duvoih family hereby offer...' " He trailed off, reading the rest before looking through the rest of the pile. These were all proposals. "He is twenty. Older then I was." he met his fiance when he was seventeen. "These are for later as well." And stared at Lewis for a moment before taking some more to eat. "Next inline, nobles wanting to celebrate the girl's party. Didn't Elliot say no nobles?' he question Lily.

"So only children? I suppose that makes sense, no adults to morph their minds aside from us here." He mused. "What is Elliot doing in town anyway? I pray he took a guard with him." And he started to read until running footsteps outside made him look up, the door opening to reveal the triplets.

"Dad!' Martha exclaimed, running over and climbing onto his lap to avoid her sisters.

"You promised we would match today!"Annabelle declared, holding a dress in her hands. "Stop running around in your knickers! Oh, the Prime Minister is here. Hello Prime Minister!' The girl cooed, walking over happily. "Hey, brother said I could invite who I wanted for my party. So I'm inviting you."

And then in came Emily, carrying a mountain lion cub in her arms, another one following wobbly behind her until she scooped it up as well. "You know Brother won't like that."

"Well it's my party. Now, Martha you need to wear this! You promised you would!"

"Dad don't make me wear it! It's frilly and terrifying!"

"I'm more curious as to where my dear Emily found the cubs."

"In the garden." She murmured, nuzzling her face into the soft fur. She was just tagging along again, having nothing much better to do.
