██████████ ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ Vietnam was pleased with the way the other nation pernounced her "unofficial" name, since she knew it was a bit difficult for Western nations to pernounce Eastern names, and vice versa. Seeing Maureen's smile brighten actually flustered the nation some, since she knew her own timid attempt at a smile paled in comparison, but she played it off with an airy chuckle as her eyes flicked to the board to see if the teacher made any more progress in his lesson. Seeing that only a few minor problems were placed on the board, Thien decided that her attention could be needed elsewhere for just this once.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Maureen." She said as she tilted her chin down in a nod out of respect, as was tradition in the culture that China has bestowed upon her long ago. Luckily, even with the consistent stomach pain that the cleansing of her waste was underhand, she was able to play it off like nothing was happen. Aside from a mild winch every now and again. "I have heard of you before, I believe, don't you have a patron Saint--what was his name?--ah, Patrick?" She paused for a moment, almost inwardly cursing at her fluster, but quickly continued hoping she didn't offend the other nation. "I hear he's very popular in many parts of the world but intrigue me, what was he so famous for again? I fear I say I must have forgotten." *junior*  She giggled a bit, so he was even known of all the way in Asia huh? Maureen gave her new friend the same nod of respect that she had received. She did notice the little winces every so ofter as the other spock, but she seemed fine so she assumed it must have been little muscle cramps.
"Well he was famous for 2 things. Bringing Catholicism to my home, and driving the snakes out. Most foreigners only know of the later, or don't care and just use his day as an excuse to get drunk."
She giggled a bit more.
"And to generally act a fool. Not that I'm agenst ether. I am a bit suprized you have herd of him, I was unaware his name had reached so far."

The Asian mused to herself as she listened with a smirk, drinking in the new information that the girl was giving about herself and retaining it in case it was going to be used for later, if that was ever going to happen. At the sound of the cute girl's giggle, Thien's smirk widened some before she caught herself and glanced away, trying to hide the soft pink blush that was appearing, but failing miserably. "Well, in recent years, I have been having a lot of my students going on foreign exchange programs to Europe and many of them, when they get back around the springtime, always tell their friends and family about how much fun they had here and there and drinking on Saint Patrick's Day, so I've always wondered who that was." She paused for a moment, thinking over what she was to say next, so it didn't sound "off" to her. "And when I looked it up, I saw that he was the patron saint of Ireland and that was the end of it. I must admit that if I had known what you looked like sooner, I would have been a lot more dilligent." She chuckled to herself before she heard the class bell ring, ending the period. Sighing to herself, she picked up her things, packed it away, and stood up, glancing at Mareen as she did so. "See you next class." But she found herself wondering what her looks had to do with the other looking up info about her. But then the bell rang and her new friend packed up her things. Maureen scribbled something down before putting her note book away, and following the other.
