Additionally, every individual, Audri or Arutae, has a marking up their right arm. It looks like a tattoo, and is always black in color. The style of the marking varies by family and is genetic, but unique to each individual. When born, they only have a small marking on the back of the right hand. The older they become, the more the pattern appears. As adults, the tattoo pattern has covered not only the right arm, but also their right shoulder and their entire face. Their eyes have been changed to black, the result of which is that they can see energy flows. This ability does not manifest until adulthood, and is only the ability to see, not manipulate the energy.

Originally this allowed them Arudi to be extremely adept at altering fine, miniscule technology, as well as trouble-shooting when things went wrong in large or small machines. In the more recent times, the Audri use it as their ancestors did, both to improve larger mechanics as well as tinier and tinier electronics. The Arutae however have adapted the ability to see energy flow in a more natural form. Over time, their sight has become sensitive to life energies, and they have come to apply this to growing more healthy crops, keeping livestock in prime condition, as well as healing the wounds and diseases of their people.
