Divash Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome! So far I've been reading the threads and replying like mad because there's always someone saying something smart and it's just so exciting to get to talk with other Jews, and not have to translate half of what I say into goyyish idioms. I'm glad you joined the guild biggrin ! You're replies are very litterate and interesting to read. You always bring up your view so that it's clearly understood, and you respect the other's views while you're at it 3nodding . You also post often, that's great blaugh xd .

Aw, thank you both. smile I'm having so much fun here. It's just really nice to be in contact with more of Am Yisrael. Even though my city has a fairly high Jewish population, compared to most places in the world, I still just can't get enough, you know? When I go to shul, people come to daven and then they have to go home and get back to their lives or their families, even on Shabbat. Here, people can answer questions or hold conversations whenever they've got the time. It's even a little bit like the Talmud, in which one sage would write something and a couple of generations later another sage would come along to disagree or to elaborate on the theme.

IRL Stuff -My name is Lauren or Laur what ever you want to call me. I'm blond which kind of is disgraceful when you think about how the normal Jewish person looks. I think its because of my German descent. I've seen Barbra Streisand twice in concert just for the heck of it.

Favorites- Um..Rosh Hashana. I love Jewish food, gafilta fish are good in sandwiches. The laws for Jewish family life is my current read. I', trying to learn to dance to Hakafot too.

Hello all
I'm Josh, I come from a Jewish family but Neither I nor my parents were very religious. They still aren't but I am becoming more and more so. I've just begun studying Hebrew and I've recently been reading the Torah, more regularly than in the past.
As for my history on Gaia. I'm approaching my third year here. I'm not as much of a regular anywhere as most. except maybe ED and ED-P. I wear peasant clothes when in ED or ED-P to prove a points. Gaian's judge each other too much by their clothing, if I look like a newb I must be a newb...a three year newb..

lately I've been posting in pretty much all of the common ED-P threads, and in the ED I mostly stick to: feminism, drugs, music, stereotyping, addiction, cutting, and some religious threads.

I've gotten sick of the ED pretty quickly, the subjects there are very repetitive and many of the people there are just jerks looking for someone to flame sweatdrop ...

To Jewish Girl: Drawing is awesome, and Shakespeare can be pretty good, but I personally like "Much Ado About Nothing." Enormously funny play; Romeo and Juliet was just a bit to sudden for me in their love. blaugh
To Ivy: I like listening to music, but unfortunately have no talent in it myself. xp Any particular style you like best?
