Her birth however, only brought shame to her family, and in an attempt to hide this monster of a child they sent her and her mother away, exiling her in hopes that their secret would never be found out. This Caused Saru’s mom extreme depression, and even when Saru entered the Academy she had to hide her “Defomities”. Her Hands instead of feet and prehensile tail had always been hidden away from the world, and Saru’s first time out of the house was for her first day at the Academy. Due to the extreme pain of binding her Feet-hands and tail her first day at the academy was met with the other children making fun of her tears and also the mistake of thinking she was a boy. Two years after her entrance, her mother committed suicide, the pressure of her Daughters potential failure and a letter from her father declaring he was cutting all ties from the both of them forever. Saru was left alone, but continued in the academy in memory of her mother, in hopes that one day her success would win her acceptance in Konoha. She continued to hide her Feet-hands and Tail until her Graduation. Finally Graduating to Genin Status a careless comment and her rage caused her to expose to her fellow classmates that she was a girl, and also her Feet-hands and tail. It was at that point she realized that what she had originally thought to be deformities could be used as a strength. Ignoring her duties as a Genin for the next three years her status was revoked, as she relearned her academy training with her Feet-hands and Prehensile tail, before going back to the headquarters and demanding her status be reinstated at sixteen (Also partially due to luck).
