Brooklyn looked over in the direction that Tala was in. "Can he hear us?" He asked nervously. He looked out the window to the rain outside. "He probably wouldn't be able to hear over the rain, would he?"

Kai blinked as what Taki had said registered in his head, he saw the fence looming ahead of him. It had barbed wire at the top and really didn't look that friendly. Kai noticed that it had begun spitting since they had walked out of the car. This is going to hurt AND I'm going to get wet he thought grimly as he hit the fence going at full pelt.

Kai gripped on to the spaces in the wire of the fence and began to climb up it, figuring out how he was going to get over the pointy bits as he climbed. He was rather surprised that no one had followed him yet.
He stopped at the top and began to take off his shirt a hasty plan coming to mind. He wasted over a minute just clinging on to the fence for dear life while he tried to pull off the only sort of protection he could get from the barbed wire. Not a smart idea he admonished himself as he finally got the damned shirt off and had flung it across the wire.

Brooklyn blushed lightly. "Good." He said quietly, looking at the ground. It wouldn't do for him to go ga-ga on Bryan now. "Can you just tell me why you did it? I don't want Tala to hear in case if it hurts him more."

Kai ignored him and began to climb over the wire, using the shirt to try to stop his legs from getting too banged up. He swore loudly as one of the point bits got him and made a large gouge in his leg as he moved over it. He got o the other side and dropped like a stone, landing first on his feet then buckling and falling because of his leg.

Kai pushed himself up with a growl and began to run/limp away, knowing that his escape was even more hopeless now but still wanting to try. He realised that he had left his shirt on the fence and swore quietly again. That meant that he probably wouldn't even be able to hitch a ride with someone else.

Brooklyn sighed and looked at the ground. "Who was it then?" He asked. "She looked liked Kisa in the pictures." He looked up at Bryan. "How long?" He asked the Russian.

Kai swore explosively as he landed on his injured leg. "What does it look like?" He growled, struggling to get up, despite Taki's body weight on top of him. "I'm trying to get away from you and your freakish group." He gave up trying to sit up and allowed himself to collapse on to the ground, breathing heavily from his dash. He turned his head to glare at Taki.

"How long has Kisa not been Kisa?" Brooklyn clarified before wrinkling up his nose. "God that sounds weird. Why can't we be having a normal conversation?"

"Poor snookums." Kai said sarcastically. "Do you want me to kiss it better?" He asked, sneering before making one last bid for escape by bucking and trying to throw Taki off balance.

Brooklyn moved over to Bryan and reached up to touch the other's cheek. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked quietly, enjoying the feeling of Bryan's warm cheek despite knowing that he should hate the Russian. No matter what he was supposed to feel he couldn't. It was too hard.

Kai grunted and pushed himself up off the ground again and beginning to walk/limp away. All of his energy had been used in his mad dash and escape attempts. He tried to put on an extra burst of speed, turning his gait into a jog/limp.

"Brooklyn shrugged helplessly and rested his head against Bryan's chest. "I don't know. But you never gave me the chance to try. I know that you wouldn't lie about something like that." He told Bryan. "If you had told me we could have figured some way to get Kisa back without Kai having been involved."

Kai growled in frustration and tried to run faster, only succeeding in sending a white hot bolt of pain through his leg. He cried out in pain and fell down, holding on to his leg. "Just leave me alone." He said through harsh pants of pain. "Leave me the ******** alone." He said miserably.

((Oo swearing))

Brooklyn closed his eyes and sighed. "But how do you know that?" He asked the Russian. "You couldn't possibly know that. We might have been able to get her back without Kai." Brooklyn opened his eyes and untangled himself from Bryan's arms with a sigh. "Then Tala might not be out there looking like a lost puppy."

Kai tried to shake Taki's hand off weakly and failed miserably. He looked up at Taki with dead eyes for a second before collapsing from the combined tolls off exhaustion, blood loss and stress.
