Denrei drifted from tree to tree. Landing was less graceful. It was sharp and angular. She redirected aggressively as she did her damist to ignore who two tag along. She would have gladly gone on her own, or even with Shatta. Guidelines said she needed a team, and a team she got. The timing was not opportune, that was all. She had JUST been assigned to this new duty after... the incident. It was probably BECAUSE of the incident. Letting him down was possibly the hardest thing in the world. It left a deep scar on her heart and it festered now. She would take out that pain on the one who killed him. She would make them feel the pain she felt... that's what lovers do...

Curiosity brought his mind back around to the murder of the Udai Council's leader. Everyone had a reason for doing things. Everyone. There may not be rationality, but there was always a reason. He remembered Eiji and Genji coming to him to defend the Mizukage, their reasoning was simple. Lady Mizukage was their grandmother and they purely believed she was innocent here. However, the fact that they felt a need to come to him meant there was probably some reason, however small, for possibly wanting to do so. But he didn't know it, so it may or not be rational. From what he knew about her, it probably was as least somewhat. Didn't mean she DID, Ren himself was 95% sure Mist had nothing to do with it. Either way, what he thought probably didn't mean s**t so he'd just keep it to himself as usual. For all he knew, there could be just as strong suspicions on all of the villages. But in the end, his tought-train lingered on, what was the real culprit's reasoning? Ya know, they said curiosity killed the cat, but Ren wasn't a cat. He was fine. With that it could be taken as, he stopped caring about the thought.

Outside of the crazy train of thought going rampant in his head, Ren ran from branch to branch, his steps making just about as much noise as the cat at his side. Hell, the only only one of them here that was heavier than him WAS Neko-chan. He may have gained a couple pounds in the past couple years, but he probably didn't weigh much over one hundred... IF that. Yeah, wasn't even that. He probably wasn't at a healthy weight, but he lived with it. 'It' being hunger most of the time. But, now that he was getting money and since none of it had to worry about falling into the hands of that a** of a brother he had back in Mist, he could spend more of it on food. Food was good. Besides, it meant he had that much of an easier time sneaking up on people. Thought train followed the thought of pockey back to Seika. Maybe if Sound weren't being so 'incooperative,' he wouldn't have to be teamed up with Tatsuya and he wouldn't have to keep buying food for this damn cat. But yet again, it was something out of his control. Nothing he could do about it and no reason to worry about it. What he WAS worried about was this rose thing. More specifically why he couldn't grab hold of the memory that seemed so familiar to all this. He kept trying to run his brain off on every course of thought he had, no matter what random places it took him too, trying to get something to maybe spark it off. The worst part was, there were a few times where the answer kept getting closer. It was in grasp, he knew it, he just couldn't wrap his fingers around it. Maybe that meant it was nothing. But what if it was something? His eyes narrowed as frustration edged into his mind.

Kazin couldn't even try to focus the pain away. With pain that could almost bring a full grown man to tears, he gave up trying to focus out the pain. Instead, his major goal was to try not to vomit. On such occasions when such pain is associated, vomiting is a common occurrence. His nerves were shot, and his eyes were already bloodshot from his intense pain and screaming. His voice now rattled as his screams escaped his lips.

Kazin let the tears roll out as there was no point in stopping them. He was losing no shame as the pain grew. Little drops of blood fell from his clenched hands. As he saw this he looked at his palms to see deep cuts from his nails as he made a tight fist.

Kazin winced as the man slapped his shoulder. Kazin stood up and shook his head to clear the nausea. He help his tattooed hand out in front of him, palm up. He had learned to gather chakra before, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but he had never placed it into something like this.

He centered his focus of chakra, just like he did with water-walking. As his chakra swelled, he started to move his focus more towards his tattoo. As he did this, he could feel the movement of chakra flow down his arms. He turned his focus back from his palm to his arms now. He needed to learn how to focus his energy into just one arm. Unfortunately, he had only really used his chakra focus for tree climbing and water walking, which both required to focus into both legs. In this case, it was all down one arm and into his palm.

As he attempted this, he slowly began to feel the energy being reduced in his other arm, and start flowing into his directed arm. A few minutes passed before he would totally master this step. Every few successful attempts, he would stop and try it again to make sure he could do it over and over.

Kazin was already pretty tired from dealing with all the pain, not to mention that his body was a giant open sore. Although the razor had stopped a little while ago, the pain had only diminished a bit. The ink was being absorbed by his skin and every inch of the markings were a simultaneous pain and itch. 945

Kazin's breath was heavy after the continued attempts of concentrating his chakra into his arm. Finally as Kazin let the chakra flow down his arm, he felt the tingle of his palm. He realized he was close to finding out how to do it. He then kept his chakra sustained, and switched his focus completely to his palm. Whenever he did this, he could feel the chakra running along the lines of skin that had the markings on them. The pain had resonated with the feeling of condensed chakra which gave Kazin a very peculiar feeling in his palm.

Whenever he finished, Kazin pulled his hand closer to his body to look at his markings, sustaining his chakra in his tattoo.

"Look sensei, I think I've done it." Kazin said.

Kazin was very surprised to have a bear on top of him pinning him to the ground. He could only imagine those who saw his face seeing that of a mixture of utter curiosity and horror. Kazin gave a slight shove to the bear the best he could to try to signal it to get out of the way.

"Move off me bear, you'll crush me." Kazin directed towards the large creature above him.

Minutes turned to hours and hours turned night to day. The dawn of the next morning saw the team's arrival at the outskirts of Cloud. The misty landscape framed Denrei strong, slender form against a vibrant sunrise. Hopeful sentiments rose with the hopeful rays of the sun. Just beyond the next peak sat the garden that would hopefully hold the answer they sought.

"You need to go and fight with him in a real fight to strengthen your bond; just like with your team mates on your team" He said nodding slightly. "Speaking of which you should be getting back to them soon" The large Ex Ninja said looking at Kazin.
