Kai had studied the text from front to back, quickly memorizing the parts he thought would be the most helpful for when he needed to take down targets quickly and efficiently. Kai stood up and stretched, a movement that he regretted almost immediately as his bruised side flared with pain. He cringed as he settled his hand on top of the bruise in a fairly feeble attempt to ease the pain. Still cradling his bruised side, Kai walked to the kitchen after Zane and found him with his back turned. It was amazing how his perception of his teacher had changed, he realized just how fragile he truly was, how fragile all humans were. He could already see many vulnerable parts of his teacher's body that if Kai struck could easily kill the man, assuming of course that he had either the inclination or the practiced hand of an assassin to do so.

The small space between the third and fourth vertebrae from the base of the spine, that when struck causes total paralysis of the limbs, or of course the cervical vertebrae which, if severed, causes an immediate and painless death. But of far more interest than the obvious kill spots were the hundreds of pressure points that riddled his teachers body, each one tied to a different nerve impulse, each one cutting off a different bodily function when struck. A human's body is so fragile, their life so easy to snuff out.

Kai took a hesitant step forward, unsure if his sensei wished to test his knew knowledge, but he would soon find out. He bent down and pulled a kunai from his holster, watching his teacher carefully as he creeped up behind him, a test for both himself and his teacher.

( twisted this has the potential to get interesting, i hope you realize that this is going to be a regular thing with kai, he will constantly have to test you just as you test him)

An interesting student you have there Zane...I'm guessing he doesn't know about your special abilities? Ezio laughed as he floated behind Kai. To try and kill his own sensei, that takes guts he added. Kai wouldn't be able to hear Ezio, he would only be able to see him...or see through him nonetheless. With a huge grin on his face, Zane tossed a cup of scalding hot water behind him, straight at Kai. "Don't ever think that I'm not watching Kai, cause I have eyes behind me," he stated as he turned around and began sinking the tea bag in the pot. "Estellise thank you for letting me know, tell Cherry that she can either stay there or come back here," he told her.

"Well seeing as to the fact that he's the only one with the extensive knowledge to heal you, then you should probably ask him to," Zane told her.

Zane threw his hands up in frustration as he put the tea down and went straight for the sake. "Fine..." he muttered beneath his breath as he poured the sake and headed into the main dojo. Taking a sip he realized he was still shirtless and the towel still hung on his shoulder. Using it, he placed it on his cheek since it was still bleeding from Kai's practice.

"Why do I need to go talk to him? I'm not going to force him back," he stated as he took another sip of his drink as he merely sat down. He was fairly exhausted from all the running around they had done back in Konoha and frankly he didn't feel like going out to the docks.

Luckily Kai had been very careful to remain aware of his master's movements, so he was able to roll to the side as the water sailed past him. He rose to his feet, a small smirk playing on his lips, and said to his master, "I was just making sure that you still had more to teach me, sensei. And clearly you do, so then... what is my next lesson?" He followed his teacher out of the room, his arms crossed behind his back as he patiently waited for his next lesson.

Kai did not take his eyes off of Zane as he bent his knees slightly and shifted his body so that his right side was facing his sensei. He then grabbed hold of his blade's sheath with his left hand, tilting it to the side so that the blade's edge would face away from his body rather than face the ceiling, while loosening it from its sheath with a flick of his thumb. Then with his right hand he took hold of the hilt and readied himself to draw. "Ready when you are... master."

Kai jumped to the right as he saw Zane lunge towards him, attempting to dodge the blow. At the same time drew his sword, using the speed and power of his draw as an attack. Unless Zane acted quickly, Kai's blade would rip open his side.
