"NOOO! DON' KILL THE BIRDIES! Not with all the leftover turkey I've got from the feast! Waste not want not!" yelled Meta, hitting the stone with another.
[Minor Levitation] She then ran towards the seagulls, waving her arms wildly and hooting like an insane asylum escapee.
"Harata, here, if you'll wait a moment, I can bring us out some picnic food~. Don' go hungry!"

Harata looked at Meta. "One, who are you? Two, the birds are attacking the OS. Three, FOOD?"

At length, Lorika was the first to rise to her feet.
"I feel like I can face the goings-on inside the temple a little better now," she smiled, as the Captain stood up to join her "Thank you for keeping me company."
Jessie looked at her in surprise. "I was under the impression that I was imposing..."
"Oh, no! Not at all!" she exclaimed, touching his arm reassuringly "Your company is always welcome to me."
"I admit, your company is rather welcome to me also," he replied, a small smile crossing his face "I'm sorry now for thinking you were a silly girl who nagged too much and thought too little."
"Y-you thought that...?" she whispered, drawing back. Her expression was crestfallen, and she clasped her hands together as if to wring them with worry.
"Well," he began, rather abashed "It's not important what I thought then. I can see now that you're a very special lady. Everyone else can see it, too. I just needed a little more proof than others."
Lorika regarded him sceptically for several seconds.
"You old charmer," she said, and Jessie burst out laughing, throwing his head back. She listened to the unfamiliar but pleasant sound, until it infected her and she began to giggle. "No," she said at length, still chuckling a little "I meant to say that I really appreciate your belief in me. I... just hope you're right about other people feeling the same way."
"You strike me as a person who worries too much about what other people think."
"I know, I know," she sighed, glancing up at him a little sheepishly "Is it that obvious? I've told myself not to a thousand times."
"Some people spend their lives striving for approval, and others find it everywhere they turn," he said gravely "At the end of the day, both are as damned as eachother."
Lorika thought about this for a few moments, folding her arms around herself, while the Captain took a quick look around. "I think I may head down to my cabin. It's probably best if I brood where no one can see me."
"We brood far too much. Unfortunately for me, you do it far more attractively," she replied teasingly, her eyes suddenly a little brighter than they had been.
His smirking reply was unusually coy. "I think the attractive lady needs her eyes checked."
She began to giggle again, which was just the reaction he'd hoped for. Eventually, her hilarity subsided. "I'll try and take your sage wisdom on board, Captain."
"You'd better had," he said, as they began to walk down the hill. "Lu'huthin draeval, udos zhal roxu dost Ilythiiri."
She smiled at him. "I look forward to it."
Then, after a few brief goodbyes, they parted ways. Lorika headed for the Temple, Jessie for his isolated quarters - they both, however, carried with them a feeling of peace both had been sorely lacking for the past few days. Not to mention a slightly deeper understanding of eachother. It was hard to believe they'd been unable to see eye to eye until the previous day. In one way, it was all linked back to the Overseer's return... in another, the potential for friendship had been there all along, just waiting for a spark to ignite it.

The pain had just about returned full blast by the time the Temple was in sight. Every step was excruciating but she pressed on. It was the right decision to have stopped by here first otherwise who knows where she might have ended up.
Coline clambered up the Temple doors and entered, clinging onto the door handle desperately to keep herself up on her feet. How one harsh tumble could render her useless was something she couldn't quite accept, nor figure out. What had she done wrong? Was it her stance? Was that SINner really that strong? Or did it have something to do with her stamina, or lack thereof?
Whatever it was, she had to make sure it was properly addressed later on. But for now...
She couldn't stay latching onto the door forever. Eyeing a nearby pew she decided to make a run for it only to find herself face-flat on the floor after a few steps. Coline pushed herself up with one arm, sweat trickling down her face and her breathing heavy, the Captain's robes tucked safely under her other arm.
Well... that was stupid. At least she made it inside?

Be good...
Lorika was making her usual rounds of the Temple, going from Sanctuary to kitchens, checking and updating notices on the dormitory boards and other such administrative duties. Some, such as her two male peers at the head of the Order, may have found such work tedious or boring, but someone had to do it. And if that someone was her... well, at least it kept her mind off other things. Sitting still for too long wasn't really conducive to her emotional welfare.
Eventually, she made her way back to the main room of the Temple. And who should be there, alone, collapsed in a seat, but Coline.
She must've been there about a quarter of an hour. It looked as if she was passed out at first - her eyes were closed, her breathing was even, but her face was contorted in pain, and her grimaces gave away the fact that she was still awake.
"Merciful god, Coline!" Lorika exclaimed, rushing forwards, cursing herself for not having come back sooner "Jessie wasn't joking. You should have come straight to me! No, scratch that - he should've brought you to me."
Kneeling down beside her, shuffling her robes to act as a knee cushion against the cold, stone floor, the Priestess reached out and allowed her hands to make one hovering sweep of Coline's body. She didn't bother to make a physical examination in order to direct the energy specifically - stilling her breathing, she simply pumped an unnecessarily large amount of energy into her body to ensure that whatever ailments she had were cured.

Her eyes slowly started to open upon feeling the strain on her legs lighten, then eventually disappear. She didn't need to move from her spot to know it was the High Priestess. After the healing had been administered Coline took some time to simply lie there, lost in thought.
"Jessie..." she echoed softly. "The Captain... how is he?"

Lorika got to her feet, frowning. "I'd like to know what you did to get him in such a state. I mean, he didn't say what was wrong, but I could tell it was something and I could tell you were involved."
She then took a better look at Coline, and noticed the bundle tucked under her arm. She raised her eyebrows. "And I know only one person who wears black robes like that around here. Oh dear!" she laughed, bringing her hand to her mouth "Don't tell me this has something to do with, erm, a rather more intimate issue? I should have known he was too prickly after the feast to be telling me the truth."
...and you will be lonesome.

Sitting herself up, her brows furrowed in puzzlement. Intimate? Coline's eyes slowly trailed towards the robes in her arms trying to put two and two together before her eyes shot wide open and an obvious red tainted her cheeks. "No! It's not like that at all!" she blurted out in defense. "I-I know this looks bad, but I swear!"
Coline ran a hand loosely across her face and she groaned, far too embarrassed to look the priestess in the eye. But her features soon relaxed. "I wish I knew, Priestess. I... haven't the slightest idea what happened. He was acting so strangely..." she confessed. There was a long deafening silence before she spoke again. "...Where is he?"

"Oh, my dear," she laughed, her eyes sympathetic "Please forgive me for having a little fun at your expense. I have to say, it's much easier with you - I had the feeling I was a few seconds away from being run through when I tried it with your lovely Captain yesterday."
She reached down, extending her hand to pull a little bit of the robe out for examination. "I believe he said he was going down to his cabin. It's a small place all by itself southeast of here, popping up just before the beach. You can't really miss- oh!" she cried, suddenly jumping back.
"B-but... if you didn't... oh, no! The Overseer was wearing this, wasn't he?" she intoned, facial and body language completely distressed "But if he's given it to you... then what's he wearing now?!"
...and you will be lonesome.

"I draped a blanket over him before anyone... else... could see." she answered, face distorting in distaste. It wasn't exactly a memory she was willing to share. Or keep. She hadn't expected her poor innocent eyes to be corrupted so soon, and by the very man she worshiped, no less. "I can fetch him more suitable clothing, if you wish."
Picking herself up from the floor, Coline straightened herself and bowed. "I apologize for troubling you again, Priestess. I will try to be more careful from now on." She raised her head, hesitant, but spoke nonetheless. "But... would you allow me to ask of you one small favor?"

Be good...
Lorika's face twisted in sympathy. "Oh, dear. I'm so sorry you had to be inconvenienced in this way. I should have known it was best not to let him go and do his own thing - he's confused," she gabbled, trying her best to make an excuse "He has no idea what he's doing. I have no idea what happened to him while he was gone, but..."
She sighed. "No, Coline. You've done enough. I'd best go to him myself to clear things up. Please, do return the Jessie's underrobe," she continued to gush, obviously nervous or eager to get away due to the amount of rapid speaking she was doing "He's been so kind and understanding about the situation of the Overseer's lodgings. I just knew I could depend on him. No inconvenience ever seems to faze that man."
She moved a few steps away, seemingly in a rush to gather some new robes for the Oevrseer to wear before heading out to him. At Coline's request, however, she stopped and turned back towards her. "Hmm? Yes, of course. I'll provide you with whatever you need."
...and you will be lonesome.

"Ah, then you should know the Overseer is currently at the Training Grounds. If he hasn't wandered off somewhere, that is..."
Her voice trailed off and her brow wrinkled, eyes cast downward. Then, clutching the robe firmly, Coline brought her arms forward. "If... If I really am involved, then I think it would be best if I don't impose myself..." Her shoulders sank, worry etched on her face, but soon straightened back up as her eyes met the priestess'. "Please."

Be good...
Lorika looked down at the proferred robe in bemusement. Then, Coline's intention dawned on her.
"Oh! No, no - I wouldn't do that to Jessie, Coline," she said, quietly "He needs to talk to you. It would be cruel of you to ask me to visit him in your stead."
...and you will be lonesome.
