"There are a ton of shelves down here!" She called out, calming now that her friends were here. Annie hated to appear not level headed around anyone else. "Can you reach down here and take the box. There is a mother cat and a few kittens in the box. I'll then move some shelves and climb one of those to get out. How's the fire looking up there?"

"Oh..." he grimaced. "That's not... someone broke into your house?"
He shifted his weight to the other foot and focused on not freezing the rain with his inconvenient icy aura. He hoped she hadn't noticed that his clothes weren't wet.

Ako looked around him at the encroaching flames. "The fire's fine." He lied. The rain was helping some, but the fire still raged. He guessed they only had a few minute before the fire reached the hole, but who knew how long the building itself would last. Ako dropped down on his belly with his arms hanging down into the hole. "Pass the cats up, then I'll help you."

Lily Stinson

Lily swirled the ice in her coke with a straw, watching the mirror behind her. Next to the rather noisy and obnoxious group of men was a man who looked rather tall by the height he sat behind the table. He was grey haired, and looked to her to be in his mid thirties. (looked is the key word here.) She shook her head as she listened to the conversation that was exchanged, something about the groups 'boys and lass..' the only thing is.. She was the only 'lass' around. I hate it when they talk about me like I am a thing and not a person so- her thoughts where quickly dissolved by the sudden sound of popping.

Her eyes widen as she looked up in the mirror, seeing one of the men who was harassing the gray haired man in a mass of fire. She even saw electricity produce from the tall man. Just like ako... she thought to herself, then she remembered the fire a few blocks away. Has to be the same man. she quickly turned in her seat, her eyes meeting with Lav's only for a second before she ran to the man who was now screaming, flopping around in the floor like a wild animal.

"Someone call 9-1-1!!" she screamed as she quickly took her jacket off, putting over the head and upper body of the burning man. Smothering the flames from his body the best she could, her hands quickly patting the smaller of the flames out. She wasn't thinking about anything but the mans life as she worked, not even the stench of burning flesh and hair that filled her nose. Not even the stinging pain of her hands touching the flames, or the small burns that where beginning to appear, suddenly it wasn't about her anymore but this life that was laid in front of her.

Lily heard the tender begin to dial the phone, explain about a 'spontaneous combustion' she cursed herself as she realized that the man who was really responsible for this wouldn't get the correct punishment for this, of course. Human kind was blind sided to things like this, it was impossible to them. So, after making sure the man was no longer on fire, she got up. Looking down at him with pity, he was charcoaled now, his face barely recognizable. It only angered the small teenager to see the damage done.

She quickly looked around the room, remembering she heard the door close, she quickly walked out. Looking left and right until she spotted a man with the same back profile. She growled to herself, he was already a few blocks ahead of her. No bother, her bike was small enough to fit on the sidewalks with little to no damage. So without farther thought she jumped on her bike, skillfully started it and sped down the sidewalk until she quickly reached the man, who thankfully for her was the same man. She curved her bike so it stopped right in front of him, giving him no other choice but to stop.

"You're a evil, sinister man. And I know that was no accident. I'm also welling to bet you are the reason for the fire a few blocks away as well." she snapped sharply. She was angered, and not in her right mind, that much was obvious. There was more she wanted to say to the man, but as of right now the words just wouldn't form properly off her tongue. If she held any ability right now, she probably would of used it against him just as he has been using his to harm others. But luckily for him, she didn't.

Lev turned, an almost bewildered glare in his eyes at the girl's words. His hands rested laxly in his pockets, and he sniffled a moment, eyes half open at his antagonizer. "Your smart, but how smart're ya now? Telling me you know what i am, what i've done.." Lev grinned, his hand suddenly slinging upward toward Lily's face.
Nothing happened.
"Stay smart kid, and walk on.."
Lev grinned, suddenly moving backwards, slipping into the alley at his left.
He was nothing but a shadow by then, and by the time Lily would even attempt finding him, Lev would seem to have evaporated in thin air.
--

Leviathan wandered up his apartment stairs, each step lethargic, each movement lengthy. He was tired, the use of so much energy a true burden on his joints and muscles. Lev needed some juice, something to charge up on.
He also needed a beer.
Lev fumbled with his keys, rolling his knuckles around the rope that held his knick-knacks and key rings. Room 104 opened with a creak, and Lev snapped the nearest lamp on.

The room was aglow with orange light, old and flourescent. The carpet held a gaudy cream appearance, and his home seemed to consist of only two rooms. Lev plopped down on his couch near the first room's backwall, running his hands upon the coffee table at his front. All along it were metal rivets, filled with circuitry and analyzing tools, computer parts strewn all along the length of the table. With one hand Lev raised his finger, the T.V. to the wall opposite snapping on by Lev's will, and Lev raised himself up only to walk two feet to his left, snapping a beer from his dinky fridge.

A nice cool sip, and Lev plopped down again, listening to the game, letting his fingers run over his tools and machinery. With that, Lev began singing an old song under his breath, tinkering now with the many facets of the covering and bulk upon the table. "Let grasses grow and waters flow," Lev pulled fission wiring out of his pocket, and began tapering it to copper wire, "In a free and easy way.." Lev began to sync his rhythm with the buildings, beginning to drain energy, fill his soul with electricity brimming in the walls. "But give me enough of the rare old stuff," Lev took another sip of his beer, "That's made near Galway Bay!"
Leviathan Cortez was making a bomb.

Lily Stinson

Lil knew she couldn't handle the Brod, but she couldn't just walk away, not with what she knew. No, she was far too hot headed to walk away. She bit her lip as he walked pass her, to a shabby looking apartment building. The girl scowled as she pulled out her phone, seeing only more missed calls from her mother.

"Well that's all I need." she groaned, her fingers quickly pressing the screen, scrolling her address book down. Then it hit her, she didn't have Ako's number. She cursed under her breath as she walked her bike in front of the mans apartment building. She was afraid to leave due to the fact he might leave and she would lose the culprit behind all this recent chaos, but at the same time she knew that the only one who could handle him would probably be Ako.

Why don't I think things through!? Yea, now I have to hope he calls me in the next few minutes.. That's really doubtful. She sighed as she closed her phone, leaning against the building. Racking her brain on what to do, she had half a mind to go up to the mans door and knock him out, then it hit her.. She had a phone, why not dial 9-1-1. She knew that Ako was most likely still at the scene of the fire, hopefully the report to the officers would be heard. .

With a flash she quickly flipped her phone out again, dialing the number she never dialed before. Not since her fathers death. She sighed as she pressed the send button waiting for someone to response.

"Emergency dispatch, how may I help you?"

The voice was dull and dry, just like any other operator. She cursed herself as the words spilled pass her mouth, she didn't want to sound crazed.

"I have insight on the fire that started dear the university" she cursed, forgetting the name of the building, as well as it's location. But she was sure there wasn't a recent fire near her home. "As well as the man burning nearly to death a few minutes ago." she sighed as she gave the location of her spot. Hoping that Ako and his friends would hear the police radio. It was the only thing she had right now.

Lily gave one more look up to the apartment building, getting a sudden feeling that something bad was soon to happen. As she looked around at the other buildings, she noticed lights slowly flickering and dimming, as if the energy was being sucked out of them. "No, no, no.. That cannot be a good thing!" she shouted as she kicked off the wall, standing in the street, watching the strange array of light shows

Tansy rolled her eyes. It was nice though to think that her friends could forget that she could fly. "Why don't I just fly, both you and the cats up?" She laughed softly. A smile broke across her face. She didn't know why she felt so happy all of a sudden, or why she found this all so funny. But she did.

"Yeah, well, it happens when you live in the projects." She scoffed softly. "Hey, why aren't you in school... I mean... I know I dropped out-" She paused. "Never mind, it's not really my business.... Anyways. It was great talking with you, but unless you can walk and talk, I've got to get going. As I said, I've got a broken window to fix, and there is probably water damage from the rain coming in from lack of said window.

"Sounds good Tansy," Annie said. "Just a question... once we get these cats out what are we going to do with them? I'm a cat person but I don't think it is a good idea for me to adopt a bunch of cats right now."

Brightening she said as she waited for Tansy to come down, "Ako, how about your new friend, Lily? Do you think she would want to adopt some cats? They're really cute..."

Garret took a spot in the chaos that was forming outside of the office building, having finally arrived, he remembered the cell phone and shane's directions. He slid the phone from his soaking wet jacket. He needed to find some new clothes, Garret thought, and take that shower he promised himself. He pressed a few buttons on the face of the little cellular, and selected the first number on the the call list. It was ringing and he felt an excitement build up. Who was on the other side?

Garret looked up from the ground and was surprised at who he saw. He ran over to Ako, with the still ringing phone, and patted him on the back. "Ako! I see your walk turned out splendid."

Ako brought a hand up to his forehead at Tansy's offer. How had he forgotten? He moved out of the way and stood up so Tansy could go through, and would keep an eye on the fire. "Um, I don't think Lily is wanting to adopt right now." Especially right now.

"Seriously?" Annie said as she waited for Tansy to come down. "What the Hell am I supposed to do with the cats then?"

Tansy jumped down the hole with ease and smiled at Annie. "Well, there are a lot of people out there who have already seen me a few times.. Maybe some of them will take them." She laughed softly as she walked over to Annie, and put her arms around her waist, and flew the two of them, and the cats, back up to the ground level. "I mean, in a sense, you're the third person i've pulled out of this building, and I pretty sure the camera's already caught me. I think it's about time I came out and showed them who I am." She shrugged somewhat as she place Annie on solid ground. "Hey Garret." She nodded to him. "I don't know what you guys think, but I'm tried of hiding. You don't have to come with me if you don't want to."
PostPosted: Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:48 am

"I am with you about not wanting to hide anymore," said Annie smiling, "But I totally don't want to come out to the world about my powers looking like this." She motioned towards the baggy t-shirt and her scuffed boots. Sighing she looked at Tansy, "I guess I could reveal myself wearing this but... I look like I'm coming home from a walk of shame, it is embarrassing."

(How do I keep missing other posts!? Sorry, Cairin, my bad.)

"Actually, it was going pretty well," Ako told Garret. "The rain kinda spoiled it, though." He smiled at his attempt at a joke, and turned to Annie When she voiced her problem. "You could use my Jacket, just tie the sleeves around your waist and it could look like a skirt. And I'm good whether we come out about our powers or not, I just want to get out of here before this building comes down around us."
