Nathan rolled his eyes and shook his head, pulling out his own wallet. "You can ask Prue yourself, if you really want to know..."
The Angel handed over enough money to cover everything, then smiled and hugged his 'little sister' as he accepted his change. "Take care, alright? I'll see you soon..." he murmured, releasing her and walking to the door, waving as he pushed it open.

Mao sighed heavily and put his wallet back. He then walked over to the door and pushed past Nathan. As he was almost completely out the door, he grabbed Nathan by the arm and pulled him out. He walked down the street for a bit before stopping and sighing again. He then let go of Nathan and continued to walk.

Nathan blinked at him as his pace sped to keep up. "What'd I do now? I couldn't let you pay for Prue's treat, so it was easier if I just got everything at once. It can be your turn next time...?" he suggested, still beside Mao.

Mao did not respond. He simply continued to walk at a steady pace. He showed neither happiness nor anger in his expression.

Nathan sighed, shrugged and stopped. "I'll see you in your work break then, I guess. Though tell the Matron you don't want to see me if you don't, and I'll leave 'kay?"

Mao waved back as he continued to walk. He decided it would be best to do things the normal way for a while. He took the bus and then the subway to work. He was kept busy all morning and didn't get much of a break until after the usual lunch time.

((Yep, then go back to Mao-chan after.))
Hayate had just finished practice and wasgiven some time to take a break before having to leave again. He decided it would be a good time to text Nathan to see when they could meet. He had already gotten the tickets from his friend and "keeper" Ren. He pulled out his phone and began to text Nathan.
I've got your tickets. When and where do you want to meet

I, uh, thought we were meeting at my house this morning...? But if that's not alright for you then we can meet - any suggestions? My mind just blanked >.<;
Nathan texted back, reclining on his bed and biting his lip.

Tell you what - we'll just meet at a coffee shop, if that's alright? I need my caffiene fix is all! =) He gave the address and said he'd be waiting there unless Hayate got in touch with him to tell him they couldn't meet there afterall.

Hayate agreed and then rushed to catch a bus. He met Nathan in front of the shop about a half hour later.

Nathan smiled at him. "How was your day so far?" He held open the door of the coffee shop for Hayate to pass by him, not extending a hand or hugging him: he had to tell him about Mao first, make sure he was ok with it. But he felt he had to do so in person, and not in the middle of the street.
This was a different coffee shop to where Prue worked, a deliberate move on Nathan's part since he felt nervous.

Hayate smiled and stepped inside. He looked around and spotted a table. "I about we sit over there?" he asked Nathan as he pointed at the table.

Nathan nodded, moving towards it. I'll just sit down, he won't try to kiss me or anything, and I'll tell him... he tried to reassure himself.
