He chuckled. "I don't live here, nor does he. Have you ever seen an enormous dome of shadows over that way?" he pointed from the direction he started his journey from.

Shina spaced out a bit, completely confused as to what had just happened.. She followed Kuroi, and listened to annemarie and him talk for a bit. "So tell me, why did Kai say I can't go until you say..? Why won't peace work between our countries..?" She wasn't one to easily give up when she was determined with something.

He jumped slightly and his face turned pale. He turned to Shina with a grin. "Well you see....our kingdom has a....bad history...so to say....with humans." he said, not answering the first part while trying to draw attention to his history.

He turned back to annemarie. "That's my kingdom. It's a land of darkness, no light gets through. That's why I have this dark fog around me." he indicated to the fog around him. "We can't stand the sun being in the dark all our lives."

Kai came to a little while after Kuroi set him in a bed and got up, though still a bit woozy from before. He got some bandages out of a small pack he had on his belt and started wrapping his hands, then went outside, hearing only the last bits of them talking. "Having trouble with the girls Kuroi?" he grinned

"Ah...I see...." Kai's stomach growled again "..oh, right.. never got eat yet..back to the food search. If I find good sake I'll let you know." Kai turned and left, letting his stomach lead the way.
