She stopped splashing but stayed sitting on top of him with a laugh, watching her friend become acclimated to the water. "Which is why you'll need to be able to swim. We'll teach you how to float and then how to stay above the waterline and then we'll actually teach you how to swim. I think you'll catch on quickly and we'll be in Selkor before you know it."
He watched the snail for a bit longer and then gently set it back on the bottom of the pool so it could resume it's normal activities. Even the rocks hid something amazing when you picked them up. It was like the ultimate hidden world. "There is stuff in here that can hurt you though, right?"
She allowed Lhia to hand her some more food and fed the fish then watched as they nibbled on her fingers as if she had more of the powdery stuff. A fish nibbled on her toe and she jumped and squealed and promptly found herself on her bottom in the pool.
Chuckling softly, Lhia reached down and lifted Krymsyn back to her feet. "Whatever it was just wanted to say hello. Just cup your hands to get some water and you can pull almost anything you want out. Don't hold them out for too long because many of them need the water to live."

"What's Selkor?" Oh yes the poor thing was horribly sheltered but she was at least trying. This water thing was very unnerving and she didn't like the little fish nibbling at her.
"Boy are you really out of the loop. It's where sea elves live. Under the water." Shrugging lightly before gently giving Lark a playful push. "No worries, one step at a time."
"Usually not. The sea elves that hang around here try to keep all the more hurtful things out so the little fish in here can be happy and we all don't have to worry." Turning a look over to splashing and apparently Krymsyn wasn't being so graceful. "They're as curious about you as you are about them."

"Be nice to her, Nyc, or I'll be forced to be mean to you." Shifting so her legs were spread over his chest and catching his wrists which she pinned down into the water. "What now big bad King?"
That was good news for sure. Released from any further worry, he bent down and rolled his pantlegs up then stepped a bit deeper into the tide pools, splashing and kicking around a bit. "How come you don't wants us to be scared of the water, Master Tyyrael?"
"Don't laugh at me," she snapped and jerked her body away from Lhia's. She stood there, bored, for a few moments and then decided to try to catch a fish. Bending at the waist, she cupped water and watched a little fish flop around in her hands just like it had in Lhia's a moment ago. She refused to share her delight or acknowledge Lhia in any other way.
Stubborn little girl, Lhia mused then left Krymsyn to her own devices as she made her way over to Ty and Trys. "I think you two are ready for step two. But first, how about a little bit of a splash fight?" She demonstrated by cupping her palm and tossing water up at Ty with a laugh. "It's just a game, Trystyn. Just splash as much as you want but try not to get splashed yourself."

"Please don't try to drown me. I don't look good in that drowned way."
She still wasn't sure about all of this, but those two were very comfortable with every aspect. So water couldn't be too much of a horrible thing then right? They were having way much fun than her but their clothes were also soaked and she was worried about letting hers get thus. But taking a breath she wandered into the hip deep end of the pools. Okay...so far so good. Till she gave a yelp.
"Because water is something that should be enjoyed, not feared because you think you may get hurt in it or drown in it." Watching one being brave while the other was being obstinate...and Lhia was now on the attack. He blinked as his upper self was now soaked...before grinning and a flick of a finger had a little wave of water crashing into Lhia. "Careful, I'm really good at water games."

"You're surrendering? Aw, Nyc, I had more faith in you than that." Shaking her head disappointedly and then blinking as Are had yelped. "What? What happened?"
Laughing at the look on Ty's face, she wasn't anymore when a wave more or less did triple the amount that she'd been able to. It was all perfectly fine though when a sound peculiarly close to laughter snuck out from behind them and she turned around to find Trys giggling away. "Come on, you can play, too." She didn't have water magic so she had to resort to regular old fashioned splashing, but she could kick up water and she could distract him...somehow. Lhia crouched down and moved quickly so that she was behind her brigade leader then dumped as much water as she could hold in her palms over his head.
But he was too busy laughing, plopped on his butt in the water and giggling away at the look on her face and the smug one on Ty's as well. He'd never seen a couple play like this. It was funny!

"I'm just hoping that you lovingly torture when when you take me captive." Wiggling his eyebrows at her and giving a chuckle to her, before a blink at the squealing and he managed to get his head up enough to look. "Oh boy."
She was staring face to face with a sea elf. Or that's about as much as she knew on the matter. Just knew that she was watching it watching her. "I um...found something?" Or it had found her? She wasn't sure...and why wasn't it doing anything but watching her?
Brigade tactic, wasn't that cute? However her took his return attack gracefully beofore he took to the old school splashing on Lhia. Hey if might as well just go ahead and get soaked. But he did turn a splash on both children as well, trying to get them to take his bait of enjoying the water.

She laughed softly, leaning down to give him a nuzzle without saying anything. He was hinting at things again which meant she might actually enjoy her night a little later. Are's needs came first though and she glanced over with a frown. "That's a sea elf, Are. Won't hurt you. Just say hi."
Lhia copied him, splashing him right back and managing to get him about as wet as she was which was pretty easy to do. Trys had joined in after he managed to breathe normally and was splashing with abandon but Krymsyn was off by herself. Lhia was of the mind that if she wasn't involved, Krymsyn would be. "Okay! Okay! You two win. I'm all splashed out." Plopping into the water with a barely concealed sigh of pleasure.
"Does that mean we have to stop?"

She waved at the other, which seemed satisfied with that as he grinned, splashed her and duly disppaered, leaving a half cofused and very soggy Obdisian behind who wasn't quite sure what to think. "I don't think I like them." Letting herself get a bit of a tantrum like pout and trying to wring the water from her hair.
Well he had pleny of water in his boots, that was for sure now. "Aw, we won." Watching as Lhia went to sit though he dare say it was nice to play again. He hadn't really played in years. A look to the boy whom got a slpash in response. "It's not over until only one of us is standing."

Lharika was up and off Glynnic in a matter of moments, watching closely to see how the interaction between the sea elf and her friend would go. Some people still were a little too wary of Obsidians. She laughed at the splash but forced herself to turn it into a cough at the look on her friend's face. "That's...the way they say hi sometimes."
He giggled and immediately began to splash the Brigade Master, just about bound and determined to win. He knew Master Ty had quite a few tricks up his sleeve and began splashing in earnest. "Come on, Krymsyn. Play with us!"
She watched Lhia leave the game and debated for a moment about getting involved but decided that if she did now they would all know she was allowing Lhia to keep her from having fun like she wanted. "Next round."

"I don't like it...my hair is wet..." Which was merely a cover story for the fact that any part of her above her knees was wet. She wasn't sure about this water thing still. Lifting her hands she frowned at them. "My fingers are wrinkly too..."
He let the boy think he was winning for the most part but eventually scooped him up and tossed him back into the water. After all, the boy would float back up and it was a nice way to show him that he didn't have to be scared of plunking under. He was of course right there to grab him when he did come back up and pull him back to where he could stand himself. "That's a win for me. Care to try again?" And giving Krymsyn an invitational look on that as well.

"They won't be like that forever, I promise. It just means you've been in the water too long." Hopping off her fiancée, she reached down to give him a hand to his feet. Are seemed quite finished with the tide pools for now. "We can sit on the bank if you like."
She took him up on that almost instantly and began splashing and attacking him with gusto. The water wasn't nearly as scary when it came to playing in it. Trys joined her as well and together they double teamed him, splashing from all sides with the joyful abandon of two playful children.

On another part of the plane, the group had arrived safely and were now settled into various rooms in the Moon Elf palace. Kaelin had once again been placed with Malikhai despite the fact that the girls seemed to be sharing amongst themselves. Intharas were used to sleeping together though. She glanced over at Malikhai and nibbled on her bottom lip. "Are we going to talk about this at all?"

"You can be in the water too long?" Well that was news to her and now she was worried about being in the water too long. "What happens if you stay in? Sea elves are in all the time. Are they not well?" But a nod to the suggestion and wading back to the bank to sit on the rocks. Ew, she felt all odd out of the water now.
Nyc got himself up and squeezed some water out of his hair as she helped him up. "Once you dry ouy we can get back in but you don't want to stay in too long. Get some food and stuff in you and then it'll be twice as much fun when you get back in."
And he was being attacked by children who were beyond his grasp as they slipping around him in circles, between his legs, strifing, all the little tactics they were concious of. As a good sport, he was going to let them win this time and since he was already wet that meant him plopping backwards in a false fall at their efforts. Of course he alwasy loved to mess with them so he was just quiet with his eyes closed. Ambush indeed.
He was busy bandaging his own arm, as he had refused any treatment from anyone there about the injury. He was just too standoffish to put up with any of it all right now. "What would 'this' be? There are several things that could be entitled as such and they're all ill subjects." Tugging at the bangaging to make sure it was wrapping securely to stem bloodflow. "Are you alright?" Seemingly changing the subject at the same time too.

"Without food or water, you can. It doesn't harm you to have your skin wrinkle. Once you're out for a while, it'll unwrinkle and be just fine. Sea elves are just...different. They live in the water so it's not a big deal. But you need food and water on land. Water for sure because of the sun." She waded out with Nyc, leaning against him and heading for the shore where she plopped on the blanket with a sigh.
She of course thought that they'd won. In fact, she'd already started celebrating despite Trys's continued attempts to splash away.
His tone put her on guard and she stepped back away from him, rubbing her arm in the same place he'd been stabbed. "My mother. You didn't tell me you were planning on going to see her." Blinking as he suddenly changed the subject. "A little shaken up, a bit concerned but mostly fine. You're the one who was stabbed."

"Lucky them." Sitting happily out of the water and inspecting her skin as well as looking up to the sun. She wasn't entirely used to that yet either. Though she was distracted as Nyc handed her over a sandwich and she took it happily. She always forgot if she was hungry or not.
That was a strange girl, but hey she was Lark's friend and that made her acceptable, despite her weird. She'd get the hang of it all. But yes he was indeed dispensing food to the girls and himself. "I'd say it's a very successful beach day.
He didn't get to play dead for long as the continued splashing got water up his nose and he bolted up into a sitting position, coughing and what not from the incident. With his free hand he gave the hold on motion as he tried to get his coughing under control.
"If I told you and you knew, it only would have upset you. I thought it better if you didn't know." She however foiled his plans all the same when she had shown up. He nodded to her self evaluation before giving a little shrug and tying off the end of his bandaging to keep it in place. "It's not a bad wound, I've had worse. A tad sore, but that's all it is."

Lark chuckled and took a sandwich from Nyc with a smile, biting into it rather happily. She adored the beach, the water, the sand, the sun and mostly being able to drag Nyc along and get him out of his study. She took a long sip of one of the many containers of water they'd brought along before handing it over to Are. "Which means it's time for a nap in the sand."
Lhia was up like a flash and in the water, keeping the children from splashing him anymore. Crouching down beside him, she rested a hand on his shoulder and waited until his coughing had somewhat tempered. "Okay?"
"It upset me more that you didn't. I told you she was dangerous but I knew you'd go out there anyway. That's why I followed you. She wanted me and I knew she'd try to use you to get to me. And then you just disappearing like that...I didn't know where you were, Malikhai, or even if you were okay."
