It had been such a time since he had last been in the coven, he needed a break. Jay, the lycan girl, was starting to spark more of his curiosity, he had to admit that he liked her and wouldn't kill her. Zack reflected back to when he had saved her life, he had shot her with silver, the Vampire had her at his mercy and he saved her, for what reason he didn't know.

Zack strolled lazily into the main room, casting his dark blue gaze around the room. A line of blood dribbled down over his chin and dropped onto the floor, he licked his lips and wiped his chin off. "It is good to be back...." he muttered and sat down on the black leather couch his gaze lifted up to a fairly attractive Vampire whom posatively looked like she was about to kill someone. Zack waved at her motioning to the couch, an invitation to sit with him. "Whats on your mind there" he inquired lightly

Aithne walked through the old doors, crossing the near-empty room and sitting in a cushioned armchair in the back, the one she always sat in when she happened to visit this room. She curled up in the large chair, pulling her legs under her and resting her head back against the soft velvet lining. She thought of that lycan, Tianna, but even more about David. Why had he acted so strangely when she had first seen him? She then laughed at herself lightly. She was wasting her time thinking about a male. "How amusing..." she laughed to herself.

Leena looked at him and sat down beside him at the couch, "I'm..just frusterated...at myself and how I was at the last battle with this lycan. I just think I could've done better but he broke my shoulder" she rubbed the shoulder that still had slight scars from his bite marks, "but it's healing.....I haven't seen you around..what's your name? The name's Leena."

Strolling in through the open doors, David eyed the area curiously, and made a swift job of closing the chamber doors.
As they came to a quiet close, he realized there were oddly few in the main hall. Not that it mattered, immortals come and go as they please, but it was fairly quiet tonight, he could even hear the rain outside, beating against the stone and wood of the coven.

This was the first time he'd been back since the incident at Las Noches,a nd he'd feared he would have been taken out by now. Apparently not.

Step after step echo'd a silent patter as he made his way towards the fireplace at the opposite end of the hall.
Perhaps he could find a bit of solitude and comfort there of all places, seeing as how he'd taken to disliking his own chambers because of the loitering undead.

Typical of them to not care about the privacy and space of others. They were all young. Too young for his likes. At most a few generations old.
David despised the Coven for that, they were filled with the inexperienced and unknowledged who deem themselves to be the apporpriate shareholders in an almighty plan for eternal life. He hated youth.
David had lost track of his eons through time during the colonization of the Americas. He had lived at least a millenium by that time, since before the fall of the Roman Empire, David had scraped across this planet stricken with the utter suicidal desire for self destruction, and that was the destiny of man, suicide. To escape whatever hell they could come up with and make themselves the martyr in a time that would forget them.

His thoughts ceased as he reached behind a tall chair, he sensed Aithne's presence once again, it was a comforting feeling...and he shook it off quickly, feeling akward.
Leaning over the top, he dropped his jacket ontop of her.

"Hmm, you should stay warm. Wouldn't want you to get sick now, would we?" he said with a bit of an upbeat voice, and he smiled.

A smile crossed her lips and she looked up at him with those bright blue eyes. "Hmm... I suppose not. But I don't think we can get sick now can we?" Her mood brightened the moment she had heard his voice. She greatly enjoyed his company, he made her feel... well... cared for. It had been quite a few centuries since she had known anyone that had made her feel quite like David did.

She pulled the coat around her shoulders, not really having been cold, but definately feeling better with it on.

"Whether or not we get sick, the saying still stands. Some of us still feel, although I see it is more common these years than before." he quirked with a bit of a chuckle afterward, then David footed towards the chair next to hers and adjacent to the fireplace. The feel of the furniture here was the same everywhere in the coven; old. He loved the feel of old furniture, anything old really. It was the catalyst for bringing back memories, good memories mainly.
He looked about himself, getting comfortably seated in the small velvet throne beside the fire. He had come to realize during his time in hiding that he had not lost all sense of feeling, he had only not recognized it non-autonomously anymore, meaning he only reacted to the feel by instinct, when hot you pull away, when cold you shiver, etc. He had no longer any direct feeling with these senses, they were only there when he needed them.

Releasing a sigh he sat back, pushing his head against the back of the seat, and relaxing with a smooth smile painted on his face.
He had not really rested in...ages. Whether he was working on...the experiment, or taking time out of that study to feed, he never really took the time to sit back and enjoy himself.

Aithne watched him as he moved to the chair beside hers. She noticed as he relaxed into the soft chair, remembering things that once were. The action was all to familiar to her. She didn't speak, not wanting to break the silence, but rather just enjoying his company. It was better that she let him speak first, in case he had gone back to old memories. Her crystal eyes moved from him to the warm hearth, watching the flames dance above the wood.

Perhaps she might also remember the past some, it was always lovely to remember her old home in the beautiful hills of Eire. Her childhood with her siblings, Adrian in particular. The livelihood. The music. The warmth.

The same warmth she felt now. Perhaps that was why she enjoyed his company.

He smiled deviously " You can call me Zack." he paused and watched her, speculating. "I've been busy hunting, I make it a life goal to kill as many of the b*****d Lycans as I can and am often gone for long periods of time. You wouldn't by any chance know his name now would you? I could even give you a hand in getting revenge, I'd watch your back for you so he couldn't try anything. I think it would be fun" he grinned and put his arms on the back of the couch watching her.

"His name is Soulvar.." At saying his name, Leena scowled and her rage started to build up, she looked away and took calming breaths, she couldn't lose it now or here. Her temper usually gets the best of her and she usually ends up hurting herself or others. The temper of a Saguinarian vampire is the worst. She looked back into his eyes and smirked lightly, "actually....some backup would be nice..the last thing I would want to be is lycan food or turned..into them" she shuddered. After 300 years she has met lycans and gotten used to them..some were even in her previous coven, but since meeting Soulvar she had slowly developed an immense hatred for the lycan race except for one lycan whom she considers a friend, Deo.

"Soulvar..." he said slowly letting the letters and sounds roll off his tounge. Zack narrowed his eyes at her, he frowned and pulled back his sleeve revealing teeth marks. "Ill tell you now...You have nothing to worry about if they bite you in werewolf form, you will not turn. I speak from experiance." he said quietly and pulled the sleeve down covering the scar. "Not a pleasent experiance, being bitten like that." he muttered.

A smile spread across his face as he watched the mounting anger, "That could come in handy you know, that anger could serve you well." Zack brought a hand up to touch her cheak, "Could serve you very well..." he said appraisingly. He was the kind of person, no, not person but kind of Vampire that enjoys seducing others. It's a temptation that he can't resist, it's part of his nature to try.

Although the Coven itself was rather populated, it was fair and quiet tonight. David closed his eyes, as if they feared the light of day, and he slowly drifted off into what might have been sleep, or at least something similar.

No thoughts rushed to his subconscious, no dreams to his eyes, he merely sat there, relaxed, resting.

- - -

To the eons of past, he had almost forgotten, the centuries he walked the earth, came only with learning, and pain. In the lost and forgotten days, he drifted like a wandering animal, without a home, without people to call his own. For over two hundred years after washing up on the shores of the Americas, he had wandered, seldom did he make contact with anyone, except for a meal. The people at the time were strange, they wore different clothing than what he was accustomed to, their language was alien as was their ways. He had come to contact with a tribe of the land's native people, and was over curious about them. They were new, mysterious... different.
Opening his eyes, David shook his head lightly. Memories, how he hated them.

Leena looked into his eyes and smirked in response, she was trying to remain calm but a light blush escaped into her face, she only hoped that his touch wouldn't intensify it.

*Rogue walked lightly up the stairs and proceeded into the main room. Some blood was on her face and it looked like she had been fighting to some degree.

She walked to the bar in the main room and poured herself a mixed drink of blood and jack daniels and took a sip.

She looked around the room noticing newer faces she had not seen before. Her expression remained calm and collect and she set the drink down to light up a cigarette.*

He smirked in response to her blush, Zack let his hand move down to her neck. Still smirking he pulled his hand away slowly traling a finger down over her neck and back into his lap. "Why the blush?" he inquired.

"N-no reason..." Leena looked away slightly embarrassed and tried to focus around the coven room, even as a vampire she was still shy, she cursed herself because she hasn't gotten rid of that trait for hundreds of years yet!
