Nye pouted as he slid the cart back and snatched a basket instead. If she was so insistent on buying, he would definitely carry the basket. It was his duty as master spoiler! Or... something like that.

"If you say so," he said obediently. One of these days, Callaghan! One of these days. "Where do we start?"

He may as well indulge her in taking the reins in this shopping trip if he was only destined to buy her juice and some starfruit. It kinda hurt him to think that his wallet would be mainly untouched.

Gale moaned a little bit once Arvia had securely latched herself onto him. He had honestly never thought that things would ever get that hot that fast between him and a member of the female species. It was a running joke that his older brother Sean stole every bit of sex drive from him before he was even born- obviously, they were rather wrong.

His movements were starting to get more aggressive, a little more needy even. He let one of his hands sneak under the back of her bra and rest there for a bit as he pushed her close enough for the two to practically melt together. It definitely felt different from when Michelle pushed up against him at dinner- first off because neither of the two were wearing a shirt this time around and also because he actually wanted Arvia there. He felt a few goosebumps raise on his arms, and he wasn't even cold.

    Hell, he definitely wasn't cold.

Feeling a little more hot and bothered than he generally ever was, Gale began to slow down. He pulled away from the kiss rather reluctantly, but he had a feeling that neither of them couldn't take much more of this. "Maybe we shoul' stop," he mumbled as he just sort of hovered around her jawline again, not being able to resist leaving slight kisses there while he waited for an answer.

Well supermarket isles were labeled, and Ivie always went for the least heavy things first. She led Nye up and down each isle, systematically, picking up the bread and eggs (after checking they were all uncracked of course!) and various other things, leaving the milk and juice and fruit for last. It had been so long since she'd actually had to shop for everything at the same time and eventually, somewhat grudgingly but thinking of Nye's wrist, she let him transfer everything over to the shopping cart.

Snagging a carton of margerine from the fridges, along with a few frozen meals while she was there, Ivie decided to pick out her milk. Low-fat stuff, of course. "...this shows how long it's been since I had juice, all the cartons have changed." She mumbled, peering at the array of brightly coloured packaging. "Any suggestions? Just no cranberry or tomato juice, please."

When it came to juice, Ivie was a bit more of a traditionalist. "We'll head over to fruit and veggies after this, I guess."

If Sean had stolen all the sexy genes, then the dregs that Gale had been left with were more than enough for any one person to handle. If Gale was getting a little overcome by the entire process, Arvia was pretty much gone herself, just enjoying the moment and occasionally nodding to that one tiny, sensible part of her mind reminding her not to let things get out of hand.

It was difficult, though. Right now she just wanted to get rid of the rest of the clothes now and go at it but she'd said no, and Gale wouldn't want that. It didn't stop her from not protesting when Gale's hands hovered around her bra-straps and hovered there, and when his lips finally left hers she picked up the slack, tightening her grip with her legs and letting her own lips linger on Gale's neck.

"Just five more minutes." She murmered back, letting her teeth scrape against the soft flesh of his throat before kissing that same spot. As if it wasn't obvious enough that they were both gone far beyond their planned limits, Arvia's body was starting to act of its own accord. Already pressed as firmly as it could be in clothing and just screaming for her to jump him now, her legs positioned as they were, her hips ground upwards in an attempt to get some form of satisfaction, causing the girl to whimper quietly into Gale's neck and dig her fingers into his back.

Gods dammit she wanted him and now. Perhaps letting things get this far had been a bit of a mistake.

Seriously speaking, Nye's wrist didn't hurt at all, but he chose to complain about it just to get his hands on a cart. Ivie couldn't even suspect him of lying, because hey, what if he was in pain? She'd neever let it go if he had to stay out of work for any longer than he had. She was just like that.

Of course, the cart made it easier to hide things. Different snacks were well hidden under the essentials. He was just too damn good at this.

As they brought themselves to juice cartons, Nye gave them all a once-over. He picked up a strawberry-kiwi mix, fruit punch, and some banana-pineapple. The three cartons were laid securely in the cart, and he began wheeling off towards the fresh produce before Ivie could get a word in edgewise. "Onto the produce!"

Before Gale even let things get farther than a kiss, he kept reassuring himself that there would be no way in hell he'd let the situation get too far, or even as far as it was now. It was hard to listen to just one part of your brain when the rest of it basically screamed to rip the rest of her clothes off and finish what they started.

Who knew Gale was such an animal? He was just amused by the fact that she wanted more time to completely torment his body, starting to regain some form of self-control when she actually started grinding up on him a little.

Anyone listening in would have sworn that Gale made some tortured noise, obviously a little more than just turned on by the happenings, but goodness, when Arvia started listening to her subconscious more than her resisting force, the boy heard that last whisper of caution throw itself to the wind.

And he just kinda lost it.

His hands weren't sure where to start, but due to the fact that they were nearly welded together anyways, he felt one slip (by some miracle, those jeans were visibly tight) between the denim and the lace of her underwear and just bring her waist even closer to his. His entire body was beginning to pulse with this undeniable, animalistic need, and unless Arvia put a stop to it, there was no resisting it.

Yes, Ivie was oblivious to Nye's pilfering or room in her shopping trolly, but she'd find out his deception as soon as they reached the till! He wouldn't let her push the trolly either so she was left scampering after Nye as he quickly rolled away from the friges.

"What am I going to need three types of juice for, Nye? That wasn't in the deal!" She all but whined as she jogged to catch up, walking backwards in front of him once she had and pouting at him. "I shouldn't let you buy me fruit now. Ah, here we go!" She'd stopped in front of the vegetables; potatos, carrots, peas and broccoli. She could manage those!

By now things were starting to get a little hazy in room number 17. Kissing and touching was starting to blur into one, and no one incident was all that clear anymore. It was a long period of indulgence and nothing more, and neither of them were even thinking about the time right now.

Therefore Arvia wasn't quite sure how long it took for her to realise that Gale...really wasn't holding back anymore. It had to have been a few minutes at least gathering from just how far his hand had snaked inside her jeans (and...underware, she noticed with surprise). They'd practically been having dry sex and oh gods she wanted the real thing.

"God..." She mumbled, her head flopping backwards as she indulged herself in a few more moments of sexual bliss. Whether his fingers tightened or something in her head just clicked, Arvia suddenly realised that her hands were loitering around Gale's belt-buckle and that if she wanted to keep them from going any further things had to stop. Now. No more five minutes.

"Gale." She managed to get out, before cutting off with a groan as he went to work on her neck again. He wasn't making this easy and really, it was kinda her fault. "Gale we have to stop...or we're not going to be able to."

Those were some of the hardest words she'd ever had to say.

Believe me, Nye had his ways. Chances are he'd get a basket and transfer his secret purchases under the pretense of having bought them for himself and accidentally 'forget' them at her house.

He's spoiled several people in his short lifetime, you know. "Oh please, you know you want some strawberries to brighten your day a little. Or starfruit. Whichever." He sat back now, leaning on an almost-empty crate of tomatoes for balance while Ivie picked out the various fruits and vegetables.

    He now loved shopping.

    A little hazy? A -little?-

For the fact that Gale lacked any experience whatsoever, he was sure as hell letting his body take over and his mind sit cruising back to just amplify every touch and every kiss instead of letting him realize just what was about to happen.

It was actually quite shocking to him that Arvia was the one that brought stopping up, miss five-more-minutes (like, three times in a row). Gale's brain came back steadily as he stopped mid-movement, and only then did he realize that his hand was down her pants and she was just about ready to rip his off.

He cursed quietly and apologized profusely as he removed his hands from her, setting a mere few inches of distance between them (though, after that, it seemed to be too far of a distance anyways). "'M sorry," he said again, voice still a little muffled by a certain, though slightly less prominent desire. "I shoul'n't 'ave le' it get tha' far."
PostPosted: Sun Jan 04, 2009 7:17 am

"Alright you can buy me one starfruit." Ivie conceeded, and picked up the strawberries for herself. She'd noticed in the two weeks of eating better that she'd felt like she had more energy, and had decided to lash out a little on fruit and veggies to keep the feeling up. Her cheeks didn't look nearly so sallow now that she had some vitamins going into her.

"And just one, Mr Hemmingway, I'm serious!" Turning back to eye some kiwi fruit, Ivie almost smacked headlong into another woman. About to aplogise profusely, her eyes caught a familiar face and her face lit up. "Mel! Fancy meeting you here!"

"Iviiiiiiiie~ <3" Came the equally cheerful reply as Melissa wrapped her arms around her smaller friend, obviously pleased to see her. As friendly as they were, catching up with each other outside of work was a rarity due to conflicting scheduals and Ivie's tendancies to overwork. "Sup told me you pretty much axed half your hours on him, what gives? Why didn't you tell me!"

"Well...it sort of wasn't my idea..." Coming out and telling your friend that your newer (male) friend had insisted upon it...actually sounded rather awkward now that she thought about it.

The only reason Arvia stopped it was for exactly that reason; she'd been about to rip his pants off and it was undeniable that hers would have soon followed, and as soon as they'd had complete skin-on-skin contact they'd have both been lost.

Though, considering how she was shaking now that he'd pulled away and off her, perhaps it would have been better to go the entire way through. She was getitng those shivers, her body practically screeching at her for calling things to a halt, and she let herself relax with an audible groan.

"Don't be sorry." Her voice sounded a little strained, and she felt like rolling over and starting the entire deal again. Somehow, she noticed with a smirk and a glance at Gale's pants, she didn't think he'd mind too much. "I was the one who asked for five more minutes."

Not bothering to find a shirt - he'd seen what he'd seen by now, it wasn't like he was going to forget it by her covering up - Arvia simply rolled onto her tummy next to Gale, one hand reaching up to trail down his chest. It seemed she was unable to completely stop herself.

"You're going to freak out on me in the morning, aren't you." It was pretty much a rhetorical question.

Mel was the perfect distraction for Nye throwing more than just a starfruit in there- honestly, he was running out of hiding spots. He remembered Melissa though, and sent her a cheerful smile and a wave. She was the one that commented on his glasses when he was leaving the hospital from that shot wound.

(The scar from which, mind, was still healing up even with extensive products.)

"She got sick last week," he answered bluntly. This kind of lie was always in his pockets. "I took her to the doctor and he said she was just over-stressing, so it was his suggestion to cut the hours."

Gale couldn't get up to fetch his shirt either, his legs feeling like noodles at that point, hands shaking as he shoved them behind his head. He was deliberately trying to slow his breathing back down to normal, otherwise any little movement would set him off again. Honestly, you'd have to be a freak of nature to be able to resist something like that twice.

He could only let out a light chuckle (although also strained) at the rather accurate prediction. Chances are he probably was going to freak as soon as his mind started working normally, whatever just happened was completely out of character for him.

"Prolly," he agreed. The logical thing at this point would be to get up, put his shirt on, and go back to his room, but it just felt weird doing that now. It'd have to wait. "Can' say I'll re'ret it, though."

Melissa seemed to brighten up on seeing Nye, sending him a waggly-fingered wave before stopping and thinking about this. Ivie was grocery shopping with a guy, a guy who had dropped into the hospital to say hi once and seemed verrrry interested in our little red-head, and claimed not to be. One blonde eyebrow rose in interest.

"Overstressing, huh? I'm not surprised. Ivie always did spread herself out thinly."

"I do not!"

"Oh shush, girl, you know it's true. I'll have to learn to live without you for two nights a week but I'll manage if it's for you!" Here, Melissa batted her eyelashes at Ivie, before all but turning on Nye. "She was sick? How sick? She won't tell me, Mr, so I'm going to get it from you. Is that why she didn't answer her phone the last two weeks or open the door? I just about died from worrying!"

Oops. Obviously Ivie hadn't told Melissa about the arrangement.

Obviously Arvia didn't get the 'any little movement' memo. Seeing that Gale wasn't freaking out on her here and now she decided to take a risk and scoot just a little closer, so that their sides were just touching. She made no move to scramble on top of him, just reminding him that she was there next to him and with him so that he didn't have a complete breakdown in the morning on waking up. He was Gale, he might just do that.

"Neither. Try to remember that when you wake up, mm?" She said, starting to sound rather worn out from the stress, and activity, of the day. Almost without thinking about it one of her (bare) arms slid across Gale's chest in a lazy hug, and she pressed her lips to his shoulder affectionately.

"Don't run off on me?" She asked, a note of pleading in her voice as she settled down for the night.

Nye would prod Ivie later about not calling Melissa, but now was not the time. Now he had to sort of reassure the woman that Ivie was alright and not really in some sort of jeopardy. "I'm sure you just had bad timing," he said. "She didn't answer my calls either half the time, and when she did she was groggy. Ends up she just needed some downtime, as it seemed."

He wasn't about to point out that she looked healthier, not as small and sickly as before. Her pretty was really starting to come through now. Not that it wasn't there when he first met her, even though he was halfway not himself.

Arvia was moving next to him. It was a little unnerving at first, he thought he may as well have needed to jump her again, but some calming breathing later he seemed to be alright with their position. The tired feeling really hit him then- the lack of sleep (aside from a nap), the stress, the need to be aware of the people around him, and... whatever that just was apparently really took him out for the day.

With the air comparatively cool to his skin it seemed to prickle a little, and what do you do when you're cold? You get closer to the nearest warm thing possible.

Hesitantly, Gale turned onto his side, and when he didn't feel absolutely compelled to jump her again, he even dared to bring her closer with an affectionate hug. "Kay," he mumbled, but Arvia was already too far gone into sleep in his arms, and he soon followed.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 04, 2009 8:15 am

At first the look Ivie sent Nye was incredilous; how on earth had he just lied that smoothly and not batted an eye? Still she wasn't given a lot of time to think about it, as Melissa's eyes darted to her almost as soon as Nye was done with his explaination.

"Is this true?"

"Unfortunately, yeah. I had a really bad fevor so I slept most of the time away. Sup was pretty nice about giving me less hours though, said he didn't want me overworking to jeapodise the quality of the work I was going to do."

Melissa seemed content at the news, a smile breaking out on her face. "So you came to take her shopping then, Mr Hemmingway? That was certainly nice of you!" The look she sent him was slightly suspicious still, but far warmer than before. "Well then, ivie, I'll catch you on Wednesday alright? Keep warm! I don't want you leaving me there alone again!"

And with that she was gone in a flurry of pink mittens and blonde hair. Ivie had to blink, always taken aback by her friend's high levels of energy. "...thanks for that." She mumbled, glancing over at Nye gratefully. She wasn't quite ready for anyone to know about her...'issues' yet, especially not Melissa. She didn't want to deal with the pity.

Arvia couldn't recall a night she'd slept so well for a while. There was just something about sleeping next to someonem you know? It was warm, and somehow the blankets had crept over them in the night, and she awoke feeling warm, safe and very, ver comfortable. It was only when she worked out that her pillow was a living, breathing, rather manly body that her deep blue eyes snapped open.

Oh, right. Heated make-out sessions last night. A slight blush crept over her nose but she didn't pull away, taking the oppertunity to nuzzle into Gale's chest a little while he was still out cold, enjoying the moment. That would all change the second he woke up but for now, everything was peaceful.

Except for her burning urge to use the toilet. Sighing in resignation, Arvia ever so slowly extracted herself from Gale's grasp and tottered over to the bathroom, quickly relieving herself before stepping into the shower. Hm. She felt sticky. Sweat did that to you, I guess.

Nye waved at Melissa as she left, almost kinda glad to be rid of her. She was a little too probing for either of them at the present moment. Take care!" he called after her, and only turned his attention back to Ivie when she was gone.

"No problem." He kind of understood. He hadn't even let her onto his personality issue, and his stumbling on her suicide attempt was clearly unintentional but the luckiest thing. "Shall we finish and go attack that fridge?"

Gale was out cold enough to not really remember any of his dreams, if he even had any, when he woke up. Everything seemed normal for a bit, but then his eyes snapped wide open and he began to panic.

One, the room was either reversed or he was on the opposite side of the hallway.
Two, he had a headache. And his groin seemed to hurt for some odd reason or another.
Three, someone was in the shower.
Four, the spot on the bed next to him was still warm and had that distinct Arvia scent to it.

He cursed as his panic sent him to throw off the covers, but suddenly, everything became clear.

His belt was loosened a little, but Gale's pants were still on even if his shirt wasn't. Like a hammer hitting a nail dead on the head, the pang of recollection came to him, and he seemed to recall... well, everything.

Gale's purpose of crawling under the covers was less to go back to sleep as it was to hide his spreading redness.

And then, just to prove that his pants were on, his phone rang in his pocket. Groggily, Gale reached for it and put the receiver to his ear. The next conversation started and ended before Arvia left the shower, but it left Gale even redder than before. John had the worst timing.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 04, 2009 8:42 am

"She means well, but ...yeah...not yet." Came Ivie's rather haphazard and jumped reply. No-one other than Nye knew about her 'problems' and she'd rather keep things that way for as long as she could (Nevermind the fact that Allison knew, Ivie was blissfully unaware of Nye's little slip up there).

"Wern't we going to do that tomorrow?" She asked, perking up a little again and attempting to steal the trolly from Nye's control. "That eager to be rid of me, huh? Well, I suppose you want your bed back..."

Yes, she was still feeling bad about that.

Arvia's showers were a little lengthy sometimes, and today was no exception. She felt rather lethargic and content, despite being...somewhat sensative...so she took her time with the soap and with getting herself dry. It was only after taking her hair out of the shower-cap that she realised she had a few light bruises on her neck.

Oh Gale, you left hikeys. An amused grin tugged at her lips as she left them in plain sight for the moment, fastening the towel around her bust (she'd forgotten to grab her shirt) before heading back out into the bedroom. Oh. He was awake.

Awwkward. She'd been planning on grabbing a shirt and being ready by the time he woke, but apparently that was not to be. A hesitant smile was what she greeted him with.

"Ah...goodmorning, Gale. Sleep well?" Well that was lame. She quickly scooted over to her suitcase and began rummaging around for a fresh bra before something embaressing happened, like her towel falling off.

"Were we going to do that tomorrow?" Nye said absent-mindedly, not too concerned about the plans they made. They were probably going to change by the end of the night anyways. "If we don't do it today, I don't know if I have room in my fridge to store this much stuff..."

The cart, unfortunately for Ivie, was kept cleverly in Nye's grasp. He seemed a little too apt at maneuvering it, obviously having practice before. Who else would have enough time on his hands to know how to work a shopping cart?

    Only Nye, really.

"If you complain about my bed one more time, I'm sending it to your house."

Gale had been awake for a little while, blushing profusely for three reasons too many. He had enough time to lay there and ponder about just what happened last night and what consequences he had to face.

Quite obviously they didn't sleep with each other (but they got rather close if his memory served him correctly), but he wasn't quite sure who to blame for it. Yes, Arvia kissed him first but it was he who drank and came to her to return the favor. Who took it farther? Didn't matter, 'cause it probably would've happened anyways. There was also the factor that the first fifteen seconds of that encounter had been watched by his cousin Mitchell (what a way to say, "Hey! I haven't seen you in a few years!") and reported promptly to his brothers. He had heard the story warped and repeated to him this morning by each John, Sean, and half of the terrible duo, Tom. Goodness knows what Jeremy had gotten himself into at that hour in the morning.

A little lost in thought, Gale barely realized when Arvia emerged out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel. He turned away mainly to give her some privacy, but also because whatever happened last night was mixing with what was happening now. Thank goodness he was sober enough to limit his thoughts to nothing but being cold and wanting to shower.

He did see that he had left his mark on her upper body, and it kinda either made him want to smile or made him absolutely terrified. "Yeah," he said, honestly shocked that he wasn't completely freaking out. "You?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 04, 2009 4:11 pm

"Well originally, yeah." Ivie relented control of the trolly to Nye, trailing along after him. "It's not like we're busy though so we can just go today. I can get the heating started." A big thing in her apartment, that place got cold without it.

"Oh Nye, your bed wouldn't fit in my bedroom, so you can't threaten that one!" It was true. The bedroom was only really big enough for her bed and dresser.

The till loomed ahead, and as Nye parked the trolly Ivie began unloading what seemed to be a lot of groceries...move fast, Nye, she's going to find that cake!

Completely oblivious to Gale's future family...problems, Arvia was rather quick and efficient in her movements. Her tone was bussinesslike when she spoke up, having no intent of seducing Gale despite the fact that she was wearing a towel. Still, a smile lingered on her face.

"Quite well actually." Clothing aquired, she glanced back at him to see his back and sighed a little. "I guess since you're no...you know, one moment. I don't think I can have this conversation in a towel."

It was just one of those things, you know? Five minutes later, Arvia re-emerged from the bathroom in a jean-skirt (of modest length) and the same top as the day before with another pulled over the top. "It's safe now." Why a girl in a towel was considered 'unsafe' in those terms is beyond anyone.

"Anyway, you're not freaking out so I'm guessing you wern't gone enough last night to...forget...things. Um..." She paused, her brush in her hair. "You know, I have absolutely no idea what to say in this situation." Well, one-night-stands wern't her thing really.

Nye couldn't imagine living without his comfort-zone heating. He made a mental note to himself to buy Ivie one of those portables in case she ever forgot to turn her heat on- those little ones were handy. Of course, he wouldn't tell her that.

Somewhere along the way while Ivie was talking to Michelle, Nye had managed to dislodge the milk from their cart. "s**t, he cursed as he began unloading the essentials. "We forgot to buy milk. Would you mind getting it? You can pay me back in full if I have to cash out," he pleaded.

Those secret groceries had to go unnoticed.

Gale chuckled lightly at the towel comment. It further reminded him that he needed a shower, mainly 'cause it helped him clear his head, but also because he felt slightly gross and sticky. He waited in silence until Arvia declared safety, sitting up only then. He wasn't particularly mindful of still being shirtless. "I wasn' tha' far gone a' all," he commented lightly.

Basically, he just needed a little push from the alcohol to do what he wanted to do. Nothing more. "Di' you know the'e are six cam'ras in thi' hallway?"
