Half of her wanted to believe what he said desperately, but the spy side of her knew something was wrong with the story. It almost sounded fake to that side of her. Her face contorted as her thoughts swirled about her head and she argued with herself over what to think and believe. Finally she concluded that she wanted more evidence for either argument. She leaned close to him and taking a deep breath, using her sensitive nose to see what she could smell. The first, thing she smelled was the overwhelming smell of soap products, this made her nose crinkle; second, she smelled the natural smell of Izeno, this made her sigh, she loved his sent. She was about to deem him clean when her brain connected the faintest smell of blood. Her stomach plummeted and she drew away slowly. Disappointment and confusion where obvious on her face. Still half of her was saying that it didn't mean anything anyone could have that faint of a smell of blood on them. The spy side of her deducted that the overpowering soap smell and the faint, almost non-existent, blood smell meant he was hiding the truth and he had killed. She sunk into another internal argument with herself.
"I didn't know that you where nocturnal." Faven said curious. "Did you know that I make my pills?" Faven asked excitedly.

Izeno saw the her reaction and knew she probably knew. He sighed. "Okay, okay. God I hate imprinting..." It was if the look on her face, all the pain that he was causing her just came back to him. It was like he had just wounded himself and now he was bleeding all over the floor. It was strange for him, all this emotional pain. He was so used to being numb, he had stuffed his pain and frozen the entrance to where ever he hid it so it couldn't get out. That was why he had never let the ice melt. Now he had imprinted and it was like spring had come and everything was melting and he could feel again. He didn't like it, he missed the numb.
Izeno sucked in a breath. He felt like throwing up. "I'm sorry. It's probably better if you never met me. This whole situation could have been avoided. I didn't kill them because they were messing with us. I wouldn't do that to the pack. It's complicated... I didn't know any other scum. Usually I kill bad people. I just didn't know any... The killing helps keep me sane. If you want to know the truth I haven't killed anyone in two years. I'm just sorry I broke right when I met you." He chuckled. "I bet you think I'm crazy. He planned this, I know he did." He waited for Rena to leave, to just run away from him. They all left after a while. If she didn't leave now, she would when he told her about the demon and the experiments. She would defiantly leave when he told her about how he... loved... her. He could barely think the word, how would he ever say it?
Rai looked up at Sho. "Why did Izeno break?"
"I hope Rena didn't reject him... We don't need Onezi to come out now."
"Man, just when I was getting to like this place," Fuego sighed.
They had all heard it. It was a pack thing. You could tell if one of the pack was stressed or sad, or excited. It was the bond they shared. So if one of the pack broke it would kill them to see one of their own in such distress. What they had heard was a loud noise that sound like shattering glass. They all knew what it was. It was Izeno, which was weird because he didn't feel pain, especially emotional.
"Yes-" Sora blinked. She had heard the sound, too. How could she hear it? She wasn't a wolf? How had she become part of the pack? "Izeno's hurt..." Izeno was probably was the closest to her. He was always so nice to her. He didn't even made snide remarks to her. She probably would have explain this whole thing to Faven, he probably didn't get pack psych.

Mayithra reached the city after a few hours of flying. She circled over the city, searching for the lab. Once she found the lab she circled over it, looking for her friend, either in her human form or as the odd looking fox she could turn into. Mayithra spotted her friend in her odd fox form at the edge of the lab grounds and switched to her half form mid-flight. She swooped down and scooped the blue and white fox in her arms before flying off into the sky again. "Hopefully, no one saw that." She whispered to Sam as she flew up to the clouds. "I'm going to switch to my dragon form, hang on." She flipped over, so that she was gliding upside down and switched forms. He friend Sam switched back to her human form and wrapped her arms and legs around Mayithra's neck, so that when she flipped back over it was easier for her to climb up onto the dragon's back.
"Thanks May, I really appreciate you doing this." Sam said as she settled down between spines on Mayithra's back.
She flew up higher so that she was flying in the clouds. She could still see the city below, though it was like looking through fog, keeping an eye out for a place to stay the night. She didn't need a rest, she was more worried about Sam falling off her back if she fell asleep.

Rena stayed silent for a long space of five minutes, as she tried to wrestle all the facts into place. Her face changed from a confused, to horror struck, to a look of understanding, then landed on a look that was overall calm with a hint of confusion. Then she looked into his eyes and carefully worded her response, staying rooted to the couch. "So it was you but you didn't do it because you wanted to but because something or someone is driving you to." she paused to arrange her thoughts then continued. "But when you kill you have a choice of who you, and choose the people who deserve it more. And for some reason this keeps you sane?" she looked at him tring to read his expression. Then suddenly she let out a small laugh and smiled, without even realizing it until it had happened. "Don't think I will let you off lightly for this, but it doesn't make me hate you. I will want lots of answers or I might feel the need to report this." She said playfully her face now more animated the half of her that really,extremely, like him had won over and she let the other side of her slip to the side knowing that she would get answers for that side of her when the time came. In the meantime she didn't want to lose Izeno not now, not before she got to see his wolf form. She smiled at the petty reason she moved closer to him and hugged him.
Faven looked at Sora confused "Izeno's what?" he spluttered. "How could you possibly know that?" he asked confused.

Izeno smirked. More out of habit. He was used to his 'enemy' being someone he could kill or hurt without losing a piece of his sanity. He wanted to laugh, all of it was so crazy. He held it in. You shouldn't have told her. We'll have to kill her too. The fact that his blood stained sword was in his room did not help at all. He knew it would take the fraction of a second to get to it and he knew all to well and what was inside of himself was capable of.
"They understands me. They understand me, they don't get me. They're two different things. No one will ever get me until they've been through the hell I've been through. I know that some of my fellow pack members have had sucky lives until they joined, but me... My life got better when I joined the pack, I'm glad I have people who at least get what happened at the Lab. I don't know how much hell you've been through, but you probably haven't had a demon inside you. Baiting you to kill more people, trying to get you to take over so he can destroy all of the ones who 'did this to you' even if it's not their fault.
Giving you nightmares, so you can't ever sleep. If I didn't kill ever once and a while, he'd take over. He'd take over, and kill everything that I actually can love. It keeps him at bay for a little while." There had been a couple of rays of sunlight, but they weren't strong enough to melt the ice. Not until he meant Rena. Izeno turned away, looking up at the ceiling. "I... That was my first kill in two years." It felt great. That was the voice talking.
"I have no idea how I know it," Sora shook her head. "Usually only members of the pack would pick up on each others emotions..." Of coarse it wasn't unheard of for experiments to take another in as there own, especially if they were orphaned. Maybe that's what happened with her and the pack.

Somewhere
Mayithra landed in a secluded-looking field. She could feel that her friend was getting tired, her hold was slipping.
Sam slid off Mayithra's back and stretched with a yawn. "I really appreciate you doing this for me May." She said for the umpteenth time.
"I know, you've said that like a bajillion times tonight." Said said with a grin. "Sleep, your going to need it tomorrow." She said before laying down in the tall grass herself.
"Sure..." She yawned. "Thing." She said tiredly. She shifted to her odd colored fox form and curled up under Mayithra's wing to sleep.
Seeing her friend fast asleep, Mayithra curled up tail to nose and fell asleep herself.
--The next morning--
Mayithra woke up and looked around, she didn't see anybody so she woke up Sam. "Sam." She said nudging the fox with her snout. "Wake up, time to go."
Sam jumped up with a yelp, seeing a giant red dragon head the first thing in the morning made the already high strung girl even more nervous. She shifted to her human form and put a hand over her racing heart, "Jesus May, you scared the living daylights out of me." She said with a smile.
Mayithra laughed, "Sorry. Now hop on, we still have a long way to go."
Sam climbed on May's back, "Alright, I'm ready."
May launched herself into the sky and flew up to the cloud line as fast as she could. Now that it was day, it would be easier for her to be spotted.

Rena leaned back and put her hand on Izeno's "I am truly sorry you have been though hell. I say this because I honestly know that I have had a more pleasant life. First I not only chose to be experimented on, but got to chose what I wanted; and second, I honestly say I have ever never had a murderous thing prompting me to kill. Don't get me wrong I have gone though many hellish experiences but I am 99.99% sure it's nothing like what you have gone though and continue to face. I really wish I could help." she said her voice soft understanding and sweet. I wonder if there is a way I can help. She thought.
Faven didn't understand "You mean they feel each others emotions." he asked furrowing his brow tring to make sense of what she said.

Izeno blinked. He had to take a minute. He wasn't used to people trying to understand him. He was used to calling him a freak among other things, running away, and not wanting anything to do with him. He thought for a moment. Don't you dare ask her! The voice in his head almost drown out everything. "Let me ask you something... Do you think you could love someone like me?" What he really wanted to ask if she loved him. He knew that they had only met a couple days ago, but that was the magic of imprinting. Of coarse that really only worked for him. Rena could take her sweet time falling in love with him. Or she wouldn't ever love him like that.
Sora nodded. "I don't really know how to explain it. It's like part of their pack bond."

She smiled "I think I could but it would depend on whether the person like you loved me." she said he eyes sparkling in a teasing way and added, "It also might make things hard if the person like you wanted to kill me." she looked at him and grinned happily already knowing she was infatuated by him is a mysterious way.
"That's interesting." Faven said thoughtfully as he processed the info. Then he looked at her in surprise, "If it is a pack thing then how come you can feel the feelings?" he asked curiously.

Izeno smiled. For the first time in his life it was a genuine smile. It was nice to find acceptance for once outside of the pack. He realized he had been staring into Rena's eyes the whole time. He could hear his heart pounding in his chest. He could feel his face warming up, he must be blushing, at least a little. This would take some getting used to. He wasn't used to being vulnerable.
"I have no idea. I'll have to ask Sho about it later," Sora said. She thought for a moment. "I've heard of things like this happening with animal packs in the wild. Some creatures will adopt orphans and raise them as one of their own. Maybe that's what happened?"

"So," Rena started curiously, "When do I get to see you as your true self, as a wolf?" she asked smiling tilting her head her eyes couldn't manage to hide how much she really wanted to see him as a wolf. For some reason she felt it would make him less human in her mind and that's what she was less human, half and half. her smile turned up at the corners at the thought of how similar they where in some ways, she liked the idea.
"I would like to know, it's interesting." Faven said thoughtfully. then he blushed. "You should ask me some questions, I feel weird being the only one asking questions and being nosy." he said sheepishly.

"At night would probably be the best time... In an area where people are scarce." Sho would have a fit if rumors started to spread about the city was haunted. It couldn't hurt to show Rena his wolf form. It wasn't like she was a normal person. And for once in his life the thing inside of him decided to shut it's mouth. Or Rena drown him out. Izeno didn't really care as long as he was quiet.
"Oh sorry!" Sora blushed a little. "It's kind of nice to have someone interested in me and the pack. I'm used to everyone knowing the deal." Sora caughed. "So you made the pills? How do you do it?" Sure she was smart and a talented physic, but she couldn't make something like that.

After hours of flying Mayithra finally made it to Nias. She landed in the middle of a field, hoping no one saw her, and let her friend off.
"Thanks May." Sam said throwing her arms around the dragon's neck. "I owe you big time." She said with a smile, taking a step back. "Next time you need anything, don't hesitate to call."
Mayithra smiled when Sam hugged her and shifted back to her human form. "No problem." She said with a smile. "I hope you meet up with your friend safely, I'm going to stay here in Nias a while and rest up."
"Alright. I might see you around then." Sam said with a smile then gave Mayithra a hug. "Bye."
"Bye." She said returning the hug. She waved as she watched Sam walk off and walked towards the city herself, looking for a place to eat.

Rena grinned her excitement overflowed to her eyes and they sparkled. "How about tonight, I know a place not far from the city where we can hang out in private." She was standing now, on two feet, and gently bouncing on her feet. She twitched her tail and then met his eyes. a warm fuzzy feeling ran though her.
Faven smiled proudly "It sort of came naturally to me an I was soon able to mix and match to get the desired effect. Though my actual process is kind of a secret." at the end his voice faltered as though he wanted to go into more detail but was unsure what he wanted to reveal. He hadn't even revealed his secrets to Lenil even with how blindly loyal he had been to him. This was the one thing he had kept to himself and always remembered. He clung to his precious secret like the only memory from a past he couldn't remember.
((Sorry I disappeared I was overwhelmed by school and have not been able to access the internet. sweatdrop
I hope you have fun in NY and will talk to you when you get back. XD))
