Toph felt him coming, and decided to be patient and await for the right moment to strike. She held one fist behind her back, surrounding it in rock, and the other she held at her side, ready to throw up a protective wall when the time came.

Katara's eyes narrowed, but as the water was absorbed, she was given an idea and she drew the water out of the plants once again, as well as whatever water was originally in them in the first place.
The plants began to crumble and die before her, and she had the water surround one arm while her sword arm lashed out for another strike, this one coming upward in an uppercut. Katara then quickly shot the water she collected towards the girl's face.

Toph laughed, "Ha ha! Wow! You really are as dumb as you look!" She took in his position and quickly twisted her foot on the ground to form a large circle of quicksand beneath his feet.

As the sword made another swing the child jumped upon its blade as light as a feather, and in a rather fast movement that it wouldn’t be until the water had hit nothing that Katara would find the obscure child standing on her blade. This couldn’t last for long, not in this form, the child still trembled.
“Blasted Moon Lover!” she yelled as she came forward about to strike Katara in the head with the twig, that had now grown to the size of a leafy thick hammer with a gigantic sharp thorn. This caught the attention of the ravenhawks as they began to soar back to bother Katara once more. With so many distractions she probably wouldn’t have notice the plants about absorbing the water, once again coming to life and now slowly about to tie her down by the feet.

Toph heard the tinkling of glass and she lifted up the wall just as they were about to hit. She then slid her foot forward, causing a trail of kicked-up dirt to shoot towards Iden bugs-bunny style. As it arrived before him, a stream of rocks came up from the ground and shot towards him.

Katara clenched her teeth and aimed her hand at the plants. Recalling her Swamp Bender cousins and her own experiences with Bloodbending, she took control of the water in the vines and forced them to loosen. When she broke free of the plants, she leapt towards the girl that was clinging to the wall and thrust her sword towards her stomach.

Seeing the shine of the blade coming her way from the corner of her eye, the obscure child released herself from the vines and let gravity do its thing as she fell to the ground she felt the icy blade glide by her waist only inches away.
The speed in which Katara thruster her sword forward must have been very fast as it may stick to the plant infested wall that would instantly tie itself around the inanimate object a literaly pull it into a tangle of vines and thick roots.
the obscure child landed on the ground on her feat as silently as a shadow, but she still trembled now more then ever. Her eyes filled with pain and worry searched about for an idea which resulted to grabbing a distant thorn and throwing it towards the lights making the room flicker and go dark.
"Lets see how well thine eyes can see." said the child eerily with a voice that now echoed. A scream was then heard about the room movmental sounds that animals would make followed. It sounded like a pair of wings folding, or a snake slithering, or claws and talons walking. The lights would flicker now and again, but the child was never seen, only a monster. Suddenly a tail that would belong to a Komodo-rhino swung about with lightning speed and heavy force towards Katara's stomach to either nock her down or pin her to the wall.
"Look well Moon Lover, if you can, and witness the curse of thy vengful moon cassted upon me for things I have never done." her voice no longer held a gentle honey like feel, but more of a daimond cold edge. The monster reached forward for Katara's throat was a talon filled hand that belonged to a woman like creture with ram like horns long pointed ears huge wolfbat wings and a long Komodo rhino tail.
