I.Am karllikespies Soccer is defenitely my favorite sport, but I really don't like to watch any sport on tv. Going to the stadiums is fun though. I prefer martial arts to sports, but then again martial arts could be considered a sport. As far as martial arts goes, it depends for me... I like doing martial arts, when it's with a teacher who's not too hard on me, and I'm pretty good, I like to think. And I really like to watch them, when they're really doing martial arts, and it's not just dramatic stuff, you know? Like a local Tae Kwan Do acadamy kinda annoyed me because they were doing things like putting shiny tape on their bowstaffs, and such, to draw attention to them during the demonstration. And that seems so fake to me. I mean, the academy's Demo Team is genuinely good, and I don't think they need flashy stuff like that to make them look good. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think messing with weapons to make them flashy is something you do to draw attention away from the fact that you can't really use the weapons. And I don't think it's as cool to watch that sort of demo. I know what you mean so many academies seem so fake, flashy or only wanting to make money. My academy is so large and commercialized, I'm thinking about quiting. I mean its depressing getting a blackbelt and then just giving up, but I want to get into something thats just more real and into the actual art.

But it actually is a nickname for me, though it's only used by people who met me online. Even in RL they'll call me lyme, and I'll call them by their online nicknames. It's just as accurate a title for me as Kate, since my real name is Katherine (though use it and you will face a long, painful death by paperclips)

The very point of taking the name lymelady was to sorta bite my thumb at it and say, "You think you're going to get me down you little microbes? Psh, not in this lifetime." People think it's odd I chose lyme as part of my identity, but the fact is that in reality I have lyme disease and running away from it won't do much. It is a part of who I am, whether I like it or not, so I might as well decide to build on that part of my life instead of hiding from it.
Katherine is a pretty name, but it doesn't fit me. I mean, I love the name, it's just...not me.
