Well, I can see the bad point in that they're spoken for, but a little flattery never hurt anybody.

I am now completely comvinced that Sandman is awesome on so many levels.
I just read Preludes and Nocturne today.
Soooo awesome....
Oh, and I picked up one of those Marvel Select big dual-comic thingies. It had New X-Men #4 and Astonishing X-Men #4 (the one where Kitty sinks down through a really deep floor and finds Collossus).

Sandman is THE best series ever written. I didn't like the ending being that I loved the story too much... but it was so well done. It reminds me of Stephen King's Dark Tower series in the ending... both came down to similar things in the end. THe ending is unsatisfying and yet it is because it is the right one.

Did you ever read Marvelous Bob (when it was still online)?
That was an incredibly well written series of stories.

The Sandman IS awesome, the best comic ever (and yes, that includes Manga). Dont let Manda steer you wrong either, Moren... the ending is fantastic. Not necessarily a happy ending... but lots of great endings are in shades of grey. Also, despite the thread's inability to get off the ground, that doesn't mean that Authority: Revolution isn't also awesome. The final issue was released today and it WAS in fact, quite uplifting. Even with all the people getting their heads split open throughout the issue.

I'll have to pick up the other volumes then. Maybe that's what I'll ask for for Christmas. That or an iPod.

Pick it up one volume at a time. If you get it all at once, it'll probably be even more expensive than an IPOD. I'd suggest simply saving $20 each month and buy them in sequence.
But get Endless Nights as soon as possible. A perfect way to get to know each member of the Endless in their own story.

Well, yeah, not all at once. I finished reading Preludes and Nocturne in less than an hour. If I got all of them at once, I'd been done in a couple days. But if I stagger it, it will provide months of enjoyment.
Any other comics that I should pick up, aside from the Authority and Sandman?

The Sandman is the best ongoing comic ever made. However, there have been graphic novels/maxi-series that are beeter in my opinion.
Best Graphic Novel Ever Written: V for Vendetta, by Alan Moore Best Superhero Graphic Novel Ever Written: The Watchmen, also by Alan Moore Best Mainstream Superhero Story Ever Told: Kingdom Come (Alternate Reality DC Universe), by Mark Waid Best X-Men Graphic Novel Ever Written: God Loves, Man Kills by Chris Claremont Best X-Men Trade-Collection Ever: E is for Extinction by Grant Morrison
Other greats, in no particular order are
We3, by Grant Morrison (so, SO ******** good... and so, SO ******** disturbing) Losers (there are many volumes released so far), by Andy Diggle Strangers in Paradise, by Terry Moore Supreme Power, by J. Michael Straczynski Midnight Nation, by J. Michael Straczynski The Invisibles, by Grant Morrison (which will also show you what a bunch of goddamn thieves the Wachowski Brothers are)
And others... but that's a good place to start smile

Spiffy.
Is it just me, or am I pretty much the only one who posts anything in the Art Forum anymore?

Has anyone else noticed this on the forum page, under the part where to narrow down how recent you want threads shown:
Displaying topics from Dec 31,69 06:00pm
Is it just me, or does that look a tad weird (and for you perverts) wrong?

Yes, it does seem a bit odd. Most likely due to the recent upgrades.
On another note, I was considering giving Raze a new power: Fiery wings that allow him to fly. But no hurling of fireballs. Or any projectile attacks like that.
The only way he can throw a fireball is if he soaks a rag in kerosene, balls it up, and lights it on fire. That's the closest he is going to come to throwing a fireball.

I've got some stuff to post in the Art Forum...a black and white of Jean Grey from one of the New X-Men books I had picked up at the library a few weeks ago. And I'm sure there's new Teagan shtuff around my room somewhere. But Huzzah, Moren, you shall no longer be the only one to post there. =]

Pick up some Sin City books, Moren. Very well done. The movie really did them justice.
I can't get into reading my comics lately. I am pissed they've gotten rid of the New X-Men/Academy X writiers... a team led by the Wolvy knock of X-23 with a bunch of minor characters I can't stand. Yay fun.
I doubt I'll be buying any x-men books for a bit.
