Mel stepped behind Aaron so that Varnis couldn't see her mouth move. "Somebody got in trouble," she whispered playfully in a sing song voice. "Varnie's only mad cause it's true."

Varnis had walked over to the two, not knowing Mel was there, and tapped his staff in between the two that where talking, causing a blinding light. "So, you think I am mad now? You should wait until you see me when I am really mad."

"I was just trying to get Aaron to stop teasing you," Mel said with a completely serious face. She turned away from Varnis and towards Aaron, pretending to glare at him while bursting out into silent laughter.

"Hey, I never said I was going to hurt anyone, did I?" He said as he mused at what he had caused. Then looking at Mel. "You don't seem like a serious person though. But, ok then." He had said as he only believed part of what Mel had said, but still was on their side. "Also, I will still heal you guys." He added in the last part as he waited for their responses.

Aaron sputtered at the general unfairness of it all, then tried to think up a suitable retort. "Oh, go kiss you girlfriend!" he finally said, looking triumphant.

"Nah, you don't owe me anything." He said as he turned back to Aaron. "My girl friend? We don't even talk to each other." He said as he took his staff and spun while making the crystal on the staff light brighter. "Ok, you really don't want to get me mad." He said as he walked out from the room, and sat down on a rock making the light in the cave grow dim, very dim.
((Did anyone pick up the item on the table yet?))

"No, you just scream at each other," Aaron muttered to Mel as soon as he was sure Varnis is gone. Walking over to the white thing on the table, he picked it up hesitently, half expection to be hurt or something.

Mel nodded in agreement with Aaron. "They do scream a lot, and it's us that has to put up with it." Mel started to rub her eyes. "Ugh, that light he shot off of his staff left me seeing dots."
