Haha... yeah... we need to figure something out about that... We've gotta have some kinda draw back to having a bloodline. It's just kinda hard to figure something out... Unless we made it so they actually do take up slots. :c

Wiggles: Well, shouldn't bloodlines have drawbacks? The Sharingan made you go blind if it went mangekyou.
I mean, having a bloodline gives you some sort of super powers basically (which is why bloodlines were less prominent in the manga/anime).
They should cut down life span or put more of a strain on the body or something.

That's a good idea. Power usually comes at a price. But it's usually second stage abilities that have drawbacks. Like..Basic 3 tomoe Sharingan isn't too bad. But Mangekyo, certainly.

Power only comes at a price because human beings have little understanding of real power; they allow themselves to be encompassed by the idea that there needs to be some kind of balance.

Dont necessarily need a drawback for having a blodline. Just maybe a bonus for not having one
Or we could tax their missions to a clan fund or something

Haku: Just like how that was a lie in that one anime, right?
Rin: True, that would be nice to have.

Bloodline techniques were pretty tiring to use in the series. Maybe double the cost of bloodline techniques? I dunno.

Ergo: I dunno, they only seemed to tire out the genin if they used them too much. It seems like when you get higher up, you're like super saiyan god super man or something. XP
Haku: Full Metal Alchemist?

XP Haku: Full Metal Alchemist? Oh, yes. FMA's thing about equivalency is bullshit. It's just something that people believe because it makes them feel better. If things don't even out somehow, people go crazy. They purport that you simply CANNOT be that powerful without some kind of drawback. I claim bullshit, but it's what people believe, so it's whatever.

Yamato was always complaining that he was getting tired out, from what I remember. Then again, he was a whiner, so maybe he's not the best example.

Ergo: Yeah, but he wasn't really a main character. I dunno. XP
Haku: Yeah, I heard about how it was said equivalency wasn't true and junk from a FMA fan friend.
