That's it! If we do a Star Trek RP there shall be a Cardassian Tailor Prestige Class. Requirements:
1. Cardassian 2. Charisma 13 3. Craft Clothing Trained 4. Spy Level 3 5. Scoundrel Level 3

Wrong wrong wrong. Too class specific. I'll accept the Charisma, species, and skill requirement, but what it should be is more like you need to have Ranks in Deception and a moderate base attack bonus. Though thats assuming we make it d20.

Maybe if we model it off of the Star Wars Saga system we could make it a Skill Focus Deception requirement. smile
1. Cardassian 2. Charisma 13 or more 3. Skill Focus Deception 4. Craft Clothing Trained

You know what I'm gonna start work on this... Any specific races you think we must include for a basic Star Trek RP?
I've got Cardassians, Vulcans, Humans, Klingons, and Romulans... Maybe throw in the Ferengi since they have their paws in everything.

Probably include a few more Federation Races. You never see enough caitians these days. And possibly might want to include the Bajorans. Just a thought.

Okay, lets add Andorians, Bajorans, Tellarites, Rigelians, and for the sex jokes: Orion.

Well, minimum requirements would be, about 3 of each major group... less if fewer are known (Romulans have only 2 types of ship commonly seen, the Warbird and Scout Ship)
Federation Ambassador-class Federation Excelsior-class Federation Galaxy-class
Klingon B'rel-class Bird of Prey Klingon K'tinga-class Battlecruiser (An upgraded D7A) Klingon Vor'cha-class Battlecruiser
Romulan D'deridex-class Warbird Romulan Scout Ship
Cardassian Galor-class Cruiser Cardassian Keldon-class Cruiser Cardassian Hideki-class Scout

I felt a disturbance in the Force... as if thousands of loyal Star Wars fans were confronted with Trek, cried out, and suddenly were silenced.
Star Trek? In my Star Wars forum? It's more likely than you think.

Star Wars focuses on things that cannot be quantified or scientifically explained.. the Force, Destiny, the bonds that draw people together and drive them apart, the strength of will that propels Good to strike down Evil even when the odds are astronomically low.
Star Trek focuses on exploration, on the attempt to understand and quantify what can be observed, and is very much entrenched in pure logic and empiracism.
I vastly prefer the former, because it allows a lot more breathing room for creativity, while in Trek, everything is basically outlined for us, the utilization is the focus.
But anyway, yeah, been doing SWRP in Second Life. Thought I'd check back here.

My ultimate debate ender for all sci-fi fandoms is this:
Almost every sci-fi universe works on a different set of laws of physics, etc.
Example: In Trek, there's no worlds of the SW galaxy. In Wars, there's no Earth, etc. So, their conflicting rules would erase each other.
This ultimately comes down to, in a fandom VS fandom incident, both would cause the other to no longer exist, so nobody wins.
