Dani didn't hear the Bludger arrive, but knew what hit her after she felt the explosion of pain as it slammed into her right leg, just as she knew it was broken when she heard the bone snap like a dry twig. She yelped aloud, and gritted her teeth as she sped after the Snitch. 'Time to fly like heck,' she thought, as she threw herself into a dive to pursue the elusive little ball. It wouldn't save her against another possible hit, but she knew she needed to be a moving target, and she might run out of time before catching her quarry.

 Addie grimaced as a bludger whirled right into her own leg. The pain was immense but it wasn't enough to stop her yet. She glanced over her shoulder to see that the one who sent it was the younger Hufflepuff Beater. The girl zoomed into position to send the same beater straight back at Zephyros. Ignoring the pain from her newly broken leg, Dani continued her pursuit of the Snitch. With a quick glance she saw Alice was still casting about for a sign of the elusive little winged sphere, while her twin brother shot a Bludger at her after one was sent toward his sister. As she pressed her chase, it seemed to Dani as though time were slowing down, either that or the Snitch moved faster in actual games as opposed to practice.
