The Gryffindor Beater decided to grab a stray bludger and send it towards Rider the Hufflepuff Vice-Captain in hopes to slow down the opposing chaser.

Cathy had hung back, but smiled as Iris recovered the quaffle, and easily caught the pass Iris tossed her. Cathy paused for a moment to throw Iris a wink with a smile before racing down the field, the quaffle tucked close.
As soon as the Quaffle was released, Dani launched herself into the air to begin her hunt for the elusive little Golden Snitch. Shortly after she took to the air, Zeph sent a Bludger at her. As she climbed into the air, Dani put her broomstick through a corkscrewing maneuver, allowing her to narrowly dodge the flying cannonball, though it passed her so close that it brushed her shoulder. 'Yep, the red jersey is officially off,' she thought. 'This isn't tryouts where I'm usually off-limits. Time to get to work.'
Dani leveled out her climb a good distance above the pitch, where she figured she'd have a good chance to seeing her quarry, and keep an eye on Alice, in case she saw something before her.

Cathy managed to keep the lead in front of any of the Gryffindor chasers considering there was no steal attempts and having reached the goals she tossed the quaffle towards the goals in attempt to score.

Getting nailed by the bludger he tried to hit, Jasper felt it hit his arm. Damn did that hurt, pushing the pain aside to get another shot in. He couldn't take one hit and roll over. The team needed him. Besides he'd taken a hit before. Taking a breath, Jasper tried again to hit Danica.

Zeph sighed and looked for the next bludger. He'd missed Dani, and Jasper wasn't having any luck either. He decided to take aim at Adaline instead, hoping that he wasn't as bad as he seemed to be doing so far.

It practically knocked the air out of her! Rider coughed and looked to the source, but it had already disappeared. She watched as Iris and Cathy made up for it by scoring, which gave Rider a cheer! With a nod, she set off, ready to steal from whoever the Keeper tossed it too.
