It took him only forty minutes to reach the club, when he pulled into the lot he was not surprised to find that he was one of the first to arrive. They technically had not yet opened, but already he could see the line of people waiting to get inside. He drove around back to his usual spot and shut off the car. Stepping out, he took his belongings, and walked in through the back door. He nodded in greeting to his employees that had arrived early and made his way down to his office. He was surprised to find Alaine already there and preparing for the night ahead. The two chatted, with Samuel waving away any reasoning for his sudden appearance tonight. He was aware that it seemed odd to show up when he had already planned on taking the night off. But with Micha gone he couldn't just sit around in the mansion all night.
He still had not heard from the male and was growing anxious. He hoped that everything was alright and he didn't do anything to hurt himself. As anxious thoughts flooded his brain, Samuel moved to set his things down by his desk and get to work. Tonight was supposed to be the busiest night of his whole planned week. There were going to be DJ's, dancers, celebrity guests, ice sculptures, and as much booze as he was legally allowed to sell without being a liability. With this in mind, Samuel made his way out to the floor and was not at all surprised to see workers everywhere. The last minute details were being put into place while rehersals took place on stage. Samuel made his rounds chatting with every single person and making sure everything went smoothly.
A few hours passed before Samuel was able to slip away back into his office. He had been so busy with clients and guests alike that he had barely had any time to himself. Needing a break, he slipped away from the crowd and back into the quiet halls of the employees only section. Soon he was able to get back into his office. He walked over towards his desk, in need of a cigarette. He looked over the top of his desk and was unable to find a pack. Knowing there to be some in his desk drawer, he pulled it back to find the toy that Micha had stowed away. Smirking, he started to reach for his phone, wanting to tease Micha again for leaving it there. But then he remembered, Micha was mad at him or at least ignoring him. Pulling out the toy, he set it on his desk to look around for the cigarettes. It took a bit of digging but eventually he was able to find what he was looking for.
He pulled out the pack and slipped a cigarette between his lips. After lighting it, he pulled out his phone and snapped a photo of the phallic item. Pulling up the messenger app, he began to type. "Success! No important documents were ruined!" he thought something a little cheery was in order. Then again, he wasn't sure Micha would appreciate his humor right this moment. He erased the message along with the photo. Better to be simple. "Are you awake?" he typed before hitting send.

Leaning back in his chair he awaited the males response. He didn't know if he was going to respond to his message. He hoped he would, he certainly wanted him to. He missed him all afternoon and couldn't help wanting to know that he made it back to his hotel in one piece. Samuel tapped his leg impatiently as he awaited his response. His phone buzzed on the desk a few minutes later. Samuel grabbed the device and swiped his thumb across the screen. He was disappointed to read the one worded answer. But he wasn't about to let up just yet. He still had a little time before he needed to go back out there. "Have you eaten anything?" he continued. He didn't care if he was being annoying, at least he cared.

Samuel didn't know if Micha would continue to answer him. His one worded text made him think he might still be upset with him. But damn it he had to try. Typing out his next message, he asked again about his well being and sent it. It wasn't long before he received Micha's next message. Looking down at his phone, he was again saddened by the short answer. He didn't like that Micha was ignoring his bodily needs. It wasn't healthy. "You should eat something." he wrote. "It's been hours since we had breakfast this morning." After sending the message, he took a drag from his cigarette, inhaling deeply and letting the smoke sit there a moment, burning his lungs before releasing it slowly.

Sitting back in his chair he continued to question the male. He didn't know if Micha would reply or was even interested in what he had to say. But he took the fact that he was saying anything at all as a good sign. He couldn't help to be concerned for his well-being and wanted to know that he wasn't doing any sort of harm to himself. It wasn't long before he received the next text and was surprised to see the question turned back on to himself. In truth, Samuel had not eaten anything either. When he woke up from his second nap, he had simply started dressing for work and hadn't really stopped since. His own stomach growled with need for nourishment. "Sorta... I might have had two shots of something of the liquid variety and our dear friend nicotine." he replied. He knew neither counted as a true meal. He would faster end up drunk the way the customers kept wanting him to do shots with them. It was one of the reasons he had come back here to escape.

True not eating wouldn't immediately harm him. But that wasn't the sort of harm he worried about. He knew what Micha was capable of when his emotions got the better of him. Talking to him helped curb some of those fears. As the question was turned back to himself, Samuel answered him honestly. He too could be a little dismissive of his needs when he was upset or worried. Two shots tequila and a cigarette was hardly a meal. It wasn't long before Micha texted him again to say as such. Samuel sighed as thought eating. If he really wanted to, he could go back into the kitchens and put in an order for himself right now. But they were packed and he didn't want to put anymore unnecessary stress on his staff. "I'll pick something up on the way home." he replied vaguely. Though in truth he didn't think it was that hard for Micha to guess where he might be. Outside of work he didn't really have much of a life.

Work would always be his go to when he needed a distraction. Whether he was upset, bored, or just needed to get out of his head. There was always something to keep his hands and mind busy until he felt more himself. As Micha questioned him about eating, he answered him vaguely. He had not yet decided how long he was going to stay at the club. Before opening, he imagined he could work a couple of hours, go grab a bite to eat, and then go home. But seeing as they were completely slammed with patrons, that thought process was completely thrown out the window. He had to wonder if they might actually have to shoo people out of the club when they closed tonight. As his phone buzzed again in his hand, he read the males next message. He didn't mind the sudden change in topic. He didn't really know how he was feeling. "Hmm...okay, I guess." he replied. He thought it was pretty obvious that he was busy with his work. That was a given. "A little overwhelmed with the size of tonight's crowd. My past self may have gone overboard with tonight's planning."

Texting the male, he didn't think there was anything wrong with their conversation. Sure it wasn't their most lively conversation, but he was glad that they were talking. It was true that he started texting him just to check up on him. But he didn't mind if Micha wanted the conversation to last a little longer. He welcomed the distraction from his work even though he really needed to get back to it. "Yes. But I can stay a little longer if you still want to talk." he replied. Samuel knew it was best he keep to his work schedule and that Micha would need to figure out his own situation. He couldn't help his need though to make their small moments together, even those via text to last just a little bit longer.

Samuel tapped his cigarette against the ashtray while awaiting the man’s reply. He was running out of time before he needed to go back out there, but was trying his damnedest to stall a few minutes longer. He didn’t know if Micha was upset enough to toss away eight months of sobriety. But that didn’t stop him from worrying. Samuel took his last pull from his cigarette and stubbed out the butt. At the same time his phone buzzed once more. Blowing out smoke he read the message and frowned down at Micha’s words. <******** the patrons.” he said under his breath. Rising from his chair, Samuel shoved the device into his middle desk drawer and left the office.
The rest of the night went by smoothly. The people practically drank the place dry when they weren’t huddled together in groups around tables or dancing lively out on the floor. Every where he turned someone was clinging to their phone taking pictures or yelling over the music as they live-streamed their night out. Samuel helped everywhere he was needed when he wasn’t catching up with the VIPS and other guests. He tried his best not to let Micha’s last message distract him, but still it crept back into his mind every so often, annoying him. As the club closed down for the night, he dragged himself back to his office to gather his things. He found Alaine doing much the same. They bid each other good night and Samuel was then left alone. Moving towards his desk he pulled out his phone and checked to see if he had any messages. He wasn’t expecting anything, but he could wish for something to be there.
