It might have been once, but after dating kinky ninjas, you pretty much lose all fear.
Emo is something nobody agrees upon as a definition, but that everyone agrees that it's a bad thing. Me, I'm pretty damned emo most times (as a handler, not a character). Not to the point of, "I cut my self to Linkin Park songs" emo, but I've got a livejournal and a series of playlists, each sadder than the last, and with bands most people haven't heard of.
Think of emo as depressed hipsters, nerd rockers, and anyone who listens to Dashboard Confessional.
Or just very emotional and angsty.
