Icarus finished off her water and set it aside before she was suddenly hugged by Jethrow. She blinked a little and stood there for a moment, wondering what this hug was for. But she relaxed a little and nestled into the vampire's arms, deciding to enjoy the comfort of her boyfriend. It felt good to be in his arms and it made her smiled softly.

Jethrow sighed and pressed his lips against her temple. "I love you," he whispered, closing his eyes and savoring the moment as he rubbed her shoulders. The oven dinged, and he let go of her so she could get her brownies, putting a little smirk on his face as he leaned against the counter again.

Icarus blushed a little as Jethrow whispered those three special words to her. She was about to say something back, but the oven decided to ding and ruin the moment. She tried to stop blushing as the pulled the pans out and set them on the counter to cool. After turning the ovens off, she went over to the vampire and pulled him into a very nice kiss. As a reply, sort of.

Jethrow watched as Icarus pulled the brownies out. And even though he tried not to think anything, he could imagine a future. He'd been "dead" for so long he'd forgotten what a normal family was like. But for a split second, he saw Icarus dressed like his mother, pulling a loaf of bread from a Victorian oven. It was the only home he'd know in his long years, and that was how he'd always pictured late life. Until he'd realized that as a vampire who still looked eighteen, he would never have a life like that. Jethrow was broken from his reverie when Icarus kissed him, and he smiled a little, kissing her back.

Icarus held the kiss for a while before breaking it and nestling close to Jethrow. She didn't really think about her distant future as she stayed there in his arms, but the near future she thought looked bright. She had someone who she could keep close and trust. And maybe... Just maybe if they do something about his vampirism or make it work, they could have a farther future. Maybe one with little feet running around.

Jethrow reached around Icarus and grabbed a brownie, taking a bite and smiling down at Icarus. "These are so delicious, I think I might be able to eat a whole tray."

Icarus smiled some as Jethrow ate a brownie and she laughed softly. "You better not. I've yet to get one. And besides it might upset your stomach." she said,looking up at the vampire. She then quickly took a bite of his brownie and chewed it contently, enjoying the taste.

Jethrow glared at her playfully as she took his brownie, and he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist, pulling her closer. "I kinda want that back, you know," he said, leaning closer and putting his forehead to hers. He couldn't imagine leaving her.

Icarus chuckled softly and took another bite of the sweet brownie before smirking. "Then come and get it, brave one." she dared him, enjoying the chocolate and also Jethrow. He was being very close right now and for some reason she loved it.

Jethrow did, and he leaned down, kissing Icarus softly and tasting the brownie on her lips. There was a crumb on the corner of her mouth, and he kissed it away, before picking her up and setting her on the counter behind him. He put his hands on either side of her and leaned in. Now, they were eye to eye rather than him being a head taller than her.

Icarus smiled and returned the kiss. But she suddenly found herself on the counter, now eye level with the vampire. Sure it'd be easier on her neck and he wouldn't have to lean down, but it still made her blush. But that didn't stop her from wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him back into a kiss. Might as well enjoy the quiet time they had in the kitchen before someone walked in on them.

Jethrow lifted one hand and held the back of Icarus' neck. His fingers easily wound into her hair and he smiled a little. He didn't know why he'd been so upset before, but the sugar and the tea and of course Icarus had made him feel much better.

Icarus soon broke the kiss and nuzzled the vampire softly. She hopped off the counter and bagged a few of the brownies and smiled some, taking Jethrow's hand. "Let's go back to bed. It's the middle of the night." the nightingale informed him, leaning against Jethrow's shoulder.

Jethrow put his arm around Icarus and they went back to her room. When they got there, he pat the dragons on their heads and picked them up, offering the white one to Icarus. The black one playfully nipped at his wrist, but he didn't let it bite down.

Icarus smiled and put the brownies away where the dragons couldn't get them before taking the white one. She cuddled with it before getting another surprise. The furry reptile decided to lighten the mood more than necessary and dove right into Icarus' shirt again, making the girl blush and squirm, trying to get it out.
