* *cross looks down at the creature embracing him.... and then rather stiffly pats her on the back* Er.... there there...... its a'right... these things can happen t'any one... er.... *he thinks of his own situation*... like me fer instance.... *he muses half to himself then shakes his head and puts a smile o* ye shouldn't have anythin' t'worry about lass... every thin' will be alright if ye want it t'be.

There there lass... *he puts a hand on her head*... Its true that sometimes this ol' lifre puts ye through rough seas... and there are times when it looks like not a thing ye could possibly think of could change that..... not a one.... its times like these that ye have t'stop going on what ye know... and start focusin' on what ye believe. I'm going t'die some day, lass.. possibly sooner than I'd like.... but rather than give up... I keep on muddlin' through..... I have a lot o'things t'figure out before m'numbers up... and a lot more interesting people t'meet. so rather than focus on th'bad news I find its best to take in th'here and th'now..... not that this place really.. has.. a now.. er.... but yes... if yer worried about yer race dyin' with nothin' ye can do.... and all ye do is wory.... then before ye know it.. ittle happen... and ye'll spend whatever time ye've got left wondering how ye coul have stopped it had thin's gone different... The way I see it lass, is ye got one thing goin' for ye above all else.... ye know its comin' ye don't have t'sit around waitin' for it t'happen... ye just live yer life tthe fullest..... spend every day like its the last one.. keep your chin up.. but yer ear t'th'door.. and when that time comes.. maybe ye'll be more prepared for it than ye thought.... and jus' maybe... ye'll turn things around... savy?

*he pulls her back a bit to look her in the eye, smiling slightly*

Right then *he sqirms a bit* off ye go.. no sense getin' yeself all wet and shiveery-like.. *he extricates himself from the hug and heads over to the bar pulling out a bottle of rum and takeing a looong pull* just thinking about things... but.... ye said ye can feel another person's feelings right? and can understand them better'en most understand themselves? am I right?

er.... right..... I've been wonderin.... each time I see someone here... I get the most..er... interesing sensation...... deep in my gullet.. like a rock hitting a rain barrel.... and I was wondering... if you... could tell me what it is.... personally I'm hoping its just gas or maybe somethin I ate.... but maybe ye could give me a better idea?

I hardly know th'lass..... but... *he trails off* somethin about seein' here like she is of late... *he shakes his head* doesn't sit well with an old salty like me.... love.... interesting.... *he smiles at her then places his hand over hers* but I'll have t'take yer word for it lass..

*crosses eye goes dark for a moment* I wish I knew lass... or rather I don't.... there isn't much that can do that to a person.. ad its all bad...... all bad. *he looks down and notices he is squeezing mystinas hand..... he releases it...... this isn't like him... none of it is and he understands little of it... but if he is.... then that would explain some things at least..*
