*pops back in from cleaning up after a troll* One nice thing about having watched the Aliens quadrilogy so often is that shock violence images don't even phase me. My brain doesn't register immediately that I could be looking at something real instead of something SFX. Ah, the jading of a Mod's mind...

Having to clean up after images is just one of the reasons I could never be a mod!

Jen: Yeah...that's one thing I wasn't prepared for as a Modling. ^^; The pornography and shock/violence images. I'd always hung out in Exchange and when I was Helpered, I was assigned to Mini Shops. I had very little experience with image-trollers, so deciding to move to General Discussion ended up being one heck of a shock. *laugh*

Meriko or Malee is this true? Right now there is a HUGE gold botting "profit" ban going around. Many users are being banned for accepting gold from those that botted to get credits and/or gold from Word Bump.
It's recommended that you stay away from this game, and not buy any credits in the Marketplace OR accept trades from anyone you don't know until this is resolved.

bp56: Anyone banned for having bot-gold who feels that they've been unjustly banned should fill out a Feedback Form (the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of almost all Gaia Online pages) to protest their ban. ^^
People can make whatever recommendations they like to fellow users. Certainly you keep yourself 100% safe from being banned for profiting from botting should you never trade with another user ever again, but that sounds like a rather extreme measure to me.

bp56: Interacting with Gaia (games, shops, Towns, etc.) can not possibly get you banned for botting. It's trading with users (through Vend, Bank) that could bring bot-gold into your possession.

o_o
I think that system is a little screwed up.
It's unfair that users get punished for accepting something when they had no idea what-so-ever that it was wrong.
x_x that thread scares me.
