Lily grinned and clinked glasses with her new friend, and hopeful partner. Two pretty girls like them? They could run this town, easily. She took a long swallow and set her drink down as she shook herself out of her jacket, exposing the strapless corset bodice that she adored and wore on every possible occasion. There was still something to be said for Whale-bone corsets and when you don't have to breathe, the lack of oxygen isn't much of a bother.

"A new chapter. A few hundred years and I've finally gotten a job. It certainly took long enough..." she laughed and took a drag from her cigarette.

"I thank you for your kind words, but I think the real celebration is to two incredibly stunning French women who may just have what it takes to blow the doors off of this place, love."

Rogue grinned. "Well, let's at least keep the doors on Las Noches for tonight as I've already had to replace them six times this year."

She wondered what Lily would even want to accomplish. She took a sip from the liquid in her glass.
"But there is no disagreement to how the mere fact of our stunning position could take down an entire country. We all play our roles, I guess."
She did not really want to rule a country, let alone the world. She did not exactly request to be an elder either...duty came as duty called. She was a likely candidate for eldership because of her lack of ambition in gaining power, surviving in the heat of battle for that many years...let alone a Sanguinarian vampire surviving that long amidst the bloodshed for such a time. She did not feel skilled for surviving. Merely lucky, and a creature of chance...as even their transition to becoming a vampire killed most as the blood was given too late, not letting the vampiric blood change the system.

She merely wondered how much longer she would survive. Older vampires sometimes were not chosen for leadership as they had completely shut themselves off to their kind, and in so had lost the ability to communicate effectively, or they succumbed to the void and it consumed all that they once were.

Rogue did not want to let the darkness destroy her, even though they were sinister creatures by necessity and nature.

"Have you heard any rumors as to who is blowing up buildings, singling out places where non-humans have made businesses and the like? Speculate with me."

Lily grinned and uncrossed her airbrushed legs to saunter over to the bar, grab a bottle of wine and a long stemmed glass, and slink back to the table. She stabbed the cork with the slender dagger that she kept strapped to her thigh and tore it out before pouring herself a nice portion.

She took a sip from her glass and long drag from her cigarette. She'd run with plenty small-time lunatics, much like herself, back in the day. People that weren't linked to the coven or had any interest in abiding by the governmental structures of those, they considered "lucky enough", to become Elders. For her? It was never about power, it was never about purpose...politics just were not her point of interest. Even in life, the meetings and businesses of her family were never a conversation that she voluntarily brought up. Too many people to worry about and that ruined the allure of this "new life". A life with new rules, no ties, no human emotions...a completely free world, in which she could do what she pleased.

She came to the States at least a century and some change ago. She wasn't even sure she could remember the last time she had traveled back to the native European lands that used to be her stomping grounds when America was still in it's infancy. A sullied past she left behind her in Spain, a crime among their kind as far as she knew. Lily tried to remain under the radar in the U.S. upon her arrival but it had been so long...maybe it was time for her to come out, so to speak. She hadn't been faced with any trouble and in 150 years, she had never even heard a breath of her sire's name. He'd always boasted of his age, his power, his experience...the usual psychotic ramblings, but if nobody had missed him...perhaps it was no more than just that, the ramblings of a mad man that the world had left behind.

"I unfortunately, have heard nothing. I haven't even been back in town for more than a week or so, and I haven't exactly hit the social scene," she took a break to laugh.

"The last that I heard from my travels was that everyone was getting antsy. Something or someone has to be starting this paranoia, and that usually comes hand in hand with preparing a movement. I just have no clue who it could be. After all this time, who doesn't hate us slash everyone anyway? Seeing as how not one race is being singled out that leaves everything in the air. If it it was just one it would be easy to see who had the most to gain through the attacks. It could be the humans for all we know."

Rogue took another long drink to finish off the glass. End of said bottle. She got up and chose another bottle of alcohol - a nicely aged bourbon. She grabbed another glass, and poured herself another drink, and sat back down to the table taking a swig of the caramel colored liquid.

"I assumed you might not know much other than word on the street and the usual newspaper hodge podge...being new in town and all."

"I know you're not in for politics, but. Why would anyone in our race be causing the ruckus. I do not believe it is one of our kind. I suppose it could be someone who doesn't care for the coven, if they were of vampiric stylings. However. Attacking the other races so brashly makes little sense if they were vampiric.

In reality, logic points a finger to the hunters. However. Recent religious zealots in the news would suggest they want us to point the finger at them. In reality, its too easy a target. Unless that is what they want us to believe, and the hunters are sending a message."

She took a long drink from the glass and put a hand to her forehead rubbing it as she felt a twinge of psychic energy in her mind...more than she was used to ebb outward as if scanning the area. Probably Alexz's territorial instincts at work, making themselves known in the blood she took earlier that night from the Elder.

Lily took a sip from her glass and let out a small laugh.

"Beats me...I'm just the muscle. Just point me in the direction of the stage, that is where I shine."

A smile crept across her face while she exhaled the drag she just took from the cigarette delicately balanced between her fingers.

"So where can we go or who can we see that may have a bit more 'insight' than the two of us? Maybe you could poke around in those squishy pink membranes up top?" Her lips curved into an amused grin, pleased with herself.

"I suppose we do a bit of investigating outside the club...something just...feels amuck. Let's take a bit of a stroll."

She poured a quick shot and downed it.
"Let's go. I also need to get a bite to eat."
She smirked as she stood and walked down and out the club.

Lily downed the rest of the wine in her glass and snatched the bottle on her way out. As she walked down the hall, she gave her eyelashes a few good prods and tousled her hair. Her dark makeup made her icy blue eyes stand out that much more against her pale face and her signature (and centuries old) flame red locks.

Her heels always seemed to enter, exit, and lead her into a room before the rest of her did. The pumps were a classic, and nothing under 5" was acceptable. She was dead, so why not? She wasn't going to get sick, she wasn't going to age, and her body could take some serious punishment...and what was beauty if not pain? Vanity was the sin she liked best. Lust was alright, greed? It came in at a close third but why wouldn't you want to be vain? Why love someone else, why give yourself to another, when you can simply love yourself more than anyone else? It's safe, it's cold, it's protected. People were better kept on the outside, at an arm's length where she could notice any quick movements.

Lily trotted out of the club, following Rogue.

To the casual observer, she was quite amplified. The stilettos higher, the skirts shorter, the jewels much larger. She'd learned plenty of tricks over the years. Makeup doesn't bond to dead skin easily, you practically have to grind it in but with no oils...it can stay on for days. If you sleep on your back, don't screw it up, and there is nothing to compromise it's bond to the skin...you can easily leave it on for a week. She did look better than the other girls, living or otherwise, because she spent all of her afterlife discovering and exploiting the advantages she found. It's different in Europe...here they were obsessed with youth, beauty, power, fame, and money. These were things she was good with, things that didn't require too much emotional investment in her current state.

"Hmmm...so where are all the lunchables?" She smiled and took a swig as she scanned the side-walked streets ahead of them.

Lance shuffled hesitantly into the club and looking around headed over to the bar. He eventually got the barkeep's attention and timorously asked. "Erm...c-could I get a mountain dew, please?" If anyone had cared to look at Lance they'd have seen a shrinking young-ish looking man, with fluffy, medium-length, olive-tinged blond hair, and muted orange eyes.

The bartender looked the man up and down and then shrugged, pulling out a Mountain Dew from a cooler below the bar. Some liked Mountain Dew as a part of mixed drinks so the owner kept it on hand.

"Here you are, sir. Three dollars."

Lance handed the bartender three crumpled dollar bills and took his drink. "Thank you." He looked around the club taking a sip.

Gabriel Aurelius

Gabriel stood at the bar holding a drink in his hand looking around as some goth girl intently continued to talk to him unable to tell his obvious lack of caring in what she was saying. He had struck up a conversation with her in anticipation of an easy, 'lets go back to your place for some personal fun' which in vampire meant 'lets go back to your place so I can eat dinner already'. It was still a possibility but at this rate he would gladly kill her if it meant she would shut up. What he was really here for was the company, the gossip, the owner, the vampires. Lately he had been thinking that perhaps it was time that he settled down for a century or two, maybe make his name known a little better in one place instead of traveling the world constantly trying to postpone the inevitable. He had the excuse to be here but he may as well try and make it a home, something he had not had in quite some time, permanently anyway. Scanning the room he saw a melting pot of vampires and humans, many of the humans tried to be as vampires. He could tell this by knowing their ridiculous mentality but to a vampire they were all so vain. They had not the faintest clue as to the characteristics of vampires, put it simply even in undeath vampires dressed and behaved how they wanted. They were not all like Bela Lugosi nor did they all were eye liner and black lipstick. One thing that most of them had in common was the agreement that none of these people deserved immortality.

Looking at the young woman talking to him he had guessed her age at 18 from appearances. The way she had her hair and make up though would make any mortal consider that she was perhaps 17 or maybe 16 with the childish pigtails. Under her perfume, body wash, shampoo, and deodorant he detected some sort of infection. While she looked innocent this girl was apparently more experienced in bed than she put on and would most definitely be a packing a surprise for any unfortunate young man naive enough to be seduced into her bed. Many times Gabriel had indulged his carnal impulses while feeding and while immune to disease he could never bring himself to lay with such self degrading filth. With a sparkle in his eye he shushed her slowly and he eyes glazed slightly over as she became entranced and stopped talking. Getting up he had decided to find something more suitable for the festivities and dinner of tonight and settled into a booth table in the back that was on a slightly raised setting area that had tables going alone the wall left and right with the booth in the corner giving the best view over the dance floor, clear sight to the door and bar.

Rogue walked into Las Noches quietly through a side door so as not to draw too much attention in the front. She was dressed in a dark emerald shirt that was long and fitting that slightly gave flattering attention to her cleavage.
She wore dark brown leather pants that complimented the greens, and a darker brown boot that came up a little past the knee, with many straps and buckles. She wore a large pendant made of silver and in the center, a large emerald stone glittered in the low light of the club.

The stone had been a gift.

She scanned the club quickly, and mentally asked her psychic guards all around if anyone was making trouble. With their swift no's, she made her way to the bar nonchalantly, but thinking on dinner.

She felt a familiar presence, somewhere, but did not seek it out, as her hunger pangs were more pressing to her predatory mind...She did not notice him.

Gabriel didn't notice her walk into the club, he simply looked away for a moment and then when he looked back she was there. When she went to the bar close to that miscreant his mouth twitched with a mischievous delight and he extended his dominating will over the girl again and within minutes he had caused her to take notice of Rogue over playing with her drink. With a little nudging she was making a move on her without reserve.

"Hey my name is Clarissa, I love that shirt!"

So sue him, he was not typically an annoying 18 year old girl so this could be a little bit tricky and obviously fake but fun. Gabriel made the girl do what many men in their youth were guilty of doing and often caught down and that was look down at the shiny necklace and then unwilling some might argue get lost in the mountains. Snapping her attention back up the girl mimicked a smile of Gabriel from across the room unknowingly.

"So like could you turn me into a vampire?! I get off on death so MUCH and I know you're a vampire, I mean how can you not be. Look at you, death just rolls off of you and I feel it. I dig it, I mean I'm practically already a vampire I just need to go through the process but I already feel like I am one of you."

Okay so one of two things could happen at this point and one was obviously Rogue would know the girl was being beguiled and would zone into him or two she would take his approach in this situation and assume the girl knew to much and kill her just to be safe. Gabriel admitingly was leaning toward to the later. Sliding his hand around his neck as if to rub it the girl on the other hand reached up and took off a black choker that had a skull pendant on it from around her neck.

"Ive thought about it a long time and I want it to be something special ya know, and Ive decided that I want to be bit on the right side of my neck and a little lower. They say its suppose to be even better than sex, I suppose that makes sense it must be a rush passing from life to death to undeath."

God how he hoped she would get killed, it made him sick trying to mimick what he had picked in the forty five minutes before Rogue had made it here.

"..." Lance was struck dumb by the flat-out gorgeous woman who had just entered and who, having approached the bar was only a few feet away from him. There were a lot of a attractive women in the club, but Rogue seemed distinctive. The teenage girl who approached her and had started talking with her snapped him from his stupor and he flushed faintly embarrassed by his behavior. He looked elsewhere quickly but couldn't help picking up the rest of the teen girl's attempt conversation.

Lance sipped his drink thinking. "That woman is a vampire...?" He sniffed slightly and went wide-eyed. Even as a pup, he knew what a vampire smelled of, and this woman was like...some sort of super-vampire."...time to go..." He stayed where he was though, far to frightened to move.

Rogue sipped her drink before being interrupted by the young girl. The young and foolish girl. She was rarely approached like this. There were some that suspected her vampirism, and many hunters flat out knew. But a human this determined. No, she would dismantle her firm beliefs.

"Thank you about my shirt, Carissa." Her words were almost purred to the child, as sometimes Rogue's French dialected words had that effect.

"And, I'm sorry to inform you, but vampires are just myth. And, I think you have me confused with someone else."
She smiled.
"But I will buy you a drink, just for good measure. Barkeep,"
She pointed to the girl.
"Whiskey sour for the young lady."

She again, felt like she was being watched, and looked down the bar briefly. Always keep moving to seem human. She caught eyes with a young man staring at her. He had an alarmed look on his face. She breathed deep and caught his scent.

She smiled something wicked to him, her eyes glowing bright emerald for a brief moment. If he were the dog in the range of a few people closest to her, he would catch the threat she just issued.
