"Alright, Pen. Thanks." Waffle said back. Her eyes darted to the the kitchen clock; it was a little after 3 PM. Time flies fast in the summer, huh?

When everyone cleared out of the kitchen, Luciano and Horatio went upstairs to his room to quietly talk and drink tea.
As the two of them sat, Horatio was slowly stirring the tea. Luciano quietly sipped his, and after swallowing Luciano said, "So, tonight I may not be home until late. I'm attending a Bachelor party for one of my friends here." Horatio smiled and nodded, "That's fine. I don't see you going out too often with your friends."
"We go out all the time. . . just most of those times are missions."
"Haha! I know that, but I mean to go out and have fun. I just never hear you say 'I'm going out tonight with my friends' at all!"
Luciano smiled and then poured a little milk into his tea cup, while Horatio quietly sipped his. Luciano recalled them having a conversation like this ten years ago, when Luciano was only fifteen. He remembered that when he was that age, he wasn't all that social- Probably something to do with the whole 'teenaged angst' thing. Luciano was so glad that Horatio was so patient with him; He wasn't exactly an angel back then.
". . . I think you have something very good here, Luci. . Not exactly what I thought you'd be into, but I'm happy you're making good use of your talents!"
"There are some days where I hate this job very, very much, and there are days where I'm just glad to be here."
Horatio smiled and nodded again, "The Kuros have been treating you nice?" Luciano nodded, but then he stopped. He had this moment of uneasiness, he gently set his cup down and he said, "Yes. They have. I just wish they would stop putting us on crazy assignments- Like, last Winter we had us take out a few people who were supposedly threatening to expose a dirty politician, then just recently we were forced to stop Nukes from being launched at Gaia, and apparently save some Scientist." Horatio let out a 'Hmm' then he said, "Well, as long as all of you are alright, that is all that matters." Luciano knew that Horatio didn't really understand, but in a way he was glad that his Grandfather wasn't involved in things like this. Ever since joining, Luciano was involved in some crazy things. The worst assignment he ever had was when the Kuros told him and Skotti to go assist a dirty politician. Luciano made a silent vow to himself that when it comes to things like that, to insist to the Kuros that they never involve the group.
Luciano drank what was left of his tea, then let out a sigh. Right now he was going to NOT think about his work, and focus on spending time with his Grandfather.

Nariana gasped as Aly swung with her newly generated chain mace. Making a wild grab for the machine, she barreled out of the way. She grunted and swore quietly when a paintball hit her dead-on in her chest. Sighing in annoyance, she set the machine in the nearest corner and quickly disassembled it, keeping an eye on Aly. Once it was safely put away, she fully turned back to Aly. "If you wanted to up the challenge, you could have said so...Alright then. Very nice work with the gloves. I'd prefer if you didn't break PAPS into smitherines, so it'll be just me and you. Gloves on or off?" she asked and briskly walked to her backpack. She made a mental note to watch out for sharp objects and other tricks, not losing sight of Aly for a moment.

Aly was in no conditions to talk, to generate that a moment of energy had taken a toll. She hadn't expected it too, which meant she was even less prepared for the aftermath of the energy depletion. She was on her feet however as she watched Nariana walk to her backpack.
As Nari neared the bag, she got her mind back in order. "I think...," she paused and then continued. "I wouldn't mind see how far my new weapon goes. Though I will relent a bit, seeing as I can respect the desire not to lose equipment."
She glanced down at gem she had hanging off her hip, I can push my self a little further, but no more major changes. And I should wait to create a weapon. Not only that, but now I need to figure out a way to disable the machine with out damaging and close enough to take care of it. Perfect.
She charged the gem by holding it in her hands, while she looked at Nari, "Besides the limit testing of my new weapon, I would love to see what your device is like with the gloves."

Skotti yanked the silver case from KD and opened it.
"Oh dear... these are hand rolled, this tobacco looks excellent, if only I could just..." he shut the case and handed them back to Galaxy.
"I'm sorry, some vices are incredibly hard to break" he apologized.

"What is this talk about a weapon?" Pen had started to make her way to the courtyard when she heard the ruckus coming from the Dojo. Though her head still hurt she wasn't one to pass up on some free entertainment. She stood in the doorway, her bag still thrown over her shoulder, peering at the paint splatter about the place.
"Sorry If I'm barging in."

Sabe laughed to himself harder than before when he saw Skotti's reaction. Oh jeez, am I going straight to hell for laughing like this. I might as well just clear the smoke on this one.
He walked into the main hall and started to talk. "Uh...KD. If you didn't know yet, there's a small kid belonging to Skotti somewhere around here. He kicked his habit so his kid wouldn't end up with health problems," he said, although his smile dropped nearly right away. "There's also some of us who can't stand smoke at all, and would rather not be struggling to breathe. If you would be so nice to not backpedal on those ideas, go smoke in the garden or something."

KD gasped when Skotti snatched the cigarette case from her hands. When he handed it back she smile slightly, reopened it and offered one. "You're more than welcome to take one and join me outside for a smoke."

Aly smirked at Pen's voice. She didn't however turn around to see Pen as she said, "You're not barging in. We're getting started on Act.2"
Her eye's had been watching Nari prepare to use the gloves. She narrowed them slightly before asking, "Do you mind?"

Pen gave a smirk and took a seat on the bench, shuffling the bag under the wooden seat. Leaning back she prepared to watch the little show. However she stuffed her hands in her jacket pockets, clutching her own weapon.
I haven't see them fight yet, can't be too careful. I should have brought popcorn though.

Nariana said hi to Pen and thought for a moment while she pulled a small cylinder and paintball packs out of her bag. She jogged to the corner, grabbed PAPS from the corner, and put it near the center of one of the walls-- about 10 feet in front of it to give Nariana some room behind the box. After quickly reassembling and refilling it she said, "Well, if you won't break PAPS...Okay, new challenge. I'm gonna change the rotation of the revolver and stand guard around here." She walked a couple feet to the right of the machine and pushed a small notch up on the small cylinder she held. The cylinder extended into a long metal staff. She motioned around the machine in a circle with her staff. "If you can get me away from the machine, you can reach the machine and turn it off. Once you get past me to the machine, I won't stop you from turning it off. But please do not break the machine in your attempts. Also, I'm turning the machine up to 60 degrees on both sides and turning on the heat sensor. If you thought about running the way the machine is not shooting, you'll have to think much harder. The machine will shoot at you every 5 seconds as long as it sees you, so get creative quickly as possible. If you seriously need to stop, I will stop the machine. Don't even think about playing possum. And take a breather when I have to reload the machine; no one likes a cheater. Um, I think I've blabbered enough. Hopefully, you'll get some good work with your gloves. If you don't have any questions, I'll start the machine." She set the machine and waited for Aly's cue.

"If it heat seeking, then Pen maybe you should move...," Aly glanced back at her. She wasn't keen on have anyone hurt even by accident. "Seeing as it isn't pin on a certain person...or is it?"
She turned her head towards Nari as she asked her question. She didn't want to tangle the other girl up, as much as check that this fight would be a focused on them. Unless Pen wants to join us in our challenge?

"It should only concentrate on you, Aly, if I made the proper upgrades. One of my new changes involves making PAPS able to differentiate between basic shapes and bodies of heat. I don't think you noticed, but there's a small configuration pad and screen inside the top of the metal box. The sensor displays what it sees; I just choose what to target and not to target pretty much. Just in case, Pen, scoot near a corner to ensure that you don't get hit when Aly starts to move." After briefly explaining about the heat sensor, Nariana waited to hear any other questions from Aly.

Aly felt a small smile cross her face as she glanced down at the jewel by her hip. I would love to dismantle and explore that bit of work. Sadly...well, I did say I would leave it alone. So there is no way to break it down, just to explore it...oh well, she thought dropping the jewel.
Turning back to Nari she said, "Alright then. I believe I'm ready."
She pulled at the base of her glove and then let an idea flicker through her head....Get through Nariana's defense and get towards the machine...Should be tons of fun.

"Oh, and one more thing...I'm sure you will find a way to get past me, so here's a head's up. I strongly suggest you only press the red button. It sounds cliche', but trust me." Nari bent over the machine and pressed a few buttons. 'Let's hope she listens to me. Otherwise, she'll be in for a shocker,' she thought a bit amused. "Alrighty. If nothing else...3. 2. 1. Begin." PAPS began shooting at Aly for the second time. Nari took her place near the machine, expectantly waiting for whatever Aly planned.
